04/04/2026: After a long journey to the island, we had the pleasure of discovering this little restaurant. The place is informal yet well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The food was excellent: among the many dishes served, special praise, and compliments to the chef, goes to the prawns, swordfish parmigiana, and fried fish—truly impeccable. A special mention also goes to the owners: kind, friendly, and just the right amount of attention. After six hours of cycling, a smile and a laugh make all the difference.

02/04/2026: We had such a beautiful lunchtime experience at Ristorante Badia. The restaurant itself is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, colourful, vibrant, and full of authentic Sicilian charm. We ordered the Risotto alla Marinara and every bite was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh, and the sauce on the risotto was good. We also tried the Tagliatelle rosso di Mazara e tartufo. Although it had to be substituted with local smaller prawns instead of the red shrimp, the price was adjusted accordingly, which we really appreciated. The dish was still delicious, full of flavour, with fresh, fragrant truffle that elevated it beautifully. After our meal, we were offered a delicious almond aperitif, which was the perfect touch to end a lovely lunch. The servers were warm, welcoming, and made us feel so at ease throughout. We would certainly recommend visiting!

23/11/2025: We stayed in Giardini Naxos for 6 nights and ate here twice. I wish we had eaten here more. Fabulous food. Pastas & pizzas. Wonderful service and they went out of their way to cater to my fussy teenager. Such reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

20/04/2026: Great pizzas in a beautiful setting We found La Napoletana just off the main drag in Taormina and were very glad we did! The staff were so helpful and didn't bat an eyelid when we asked to share a starter and pizza (we were a little full after conducting extensive tests on the local gelatos 😋). There were so many pizzas to choose from, including several we hadn't seen anywhere else. The food tasted so delicious and fresh. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Highly recommended!

07/04/2026: We did a beautiful hike from Taormina up to the top of the hill, which was definitely the highlight of our visit. The views were absolutely breathtaking — we could see Etna, the sea, and the Teatro Greco. It was truly stunning. In the evening after the dinner we went all the way down by walk, very easy, comfortable and illuminated. The restaurant also offers a very nice view, but I would recommend going when the weather is warm and the windows are open to fully enjoy it. The service was very kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The food was good —around four-star, but we had slightly higher expectations when it came to the cuisine.

It's the kind of pizza that makes you stop in the middle to realize how good it is. And then the service... The lady who takes care of the room is indescribably kind. Sweet, smiling, attentive... The kind of person who makes a moment even more beautiful than the meal itself. We don't feel like customers here, but like guests. It’s the kind of place we’d like to keep secret… but deserves to be known for what it is: exceptional. If you're in Patti, don't even think about it. Go ahead. I can say it without exaggeration: I have never eaten such good pizza in my entire life. The ingredients are simply amazing. Not "good", not "average" — incredible. You can feel the quality in every bite. The dough is light, tasty, perfect. It's the kind of pizza that makes you stop for a moment to realize how good it is. And then the service... 25/01/2026: Excellent pizzeria, warm atmosphere and excellent service.

31/03/2026: I hadn't been there in a couple of years and found the place even more beautiful and well-kept, and the food superb! The owners have even managed to improve on the previous offerings, which were already top-notch. The presentation of the dishes, the service, and the kind and welcoming staff all contribute to the perfect success of a lunch with friends, who were also literally amazed by the excellent quality/price ratio, once the bill arrived. The place is airy, and even with a large crowd, it was possible to hold a conversation at the table, almost undisturbed by background noise. This is another feature worth mentioning!

19/11/2025: This place was a wonderful discovery during my sailing trip and it truly didn’t disappoint. The local food is fantastic, the service rivals top restaurants anywhere, and to top it off, it also operates as a wine shop with an impressive selection of excellent local treasures. Highly recommended for individuals and families looking for a memorable experience, high-quality food and wine, and a charming local ambiance!

12/04/2026: Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant wasn't crowded, although there was likely an event or birthday party going on, but no one warned us that the wait would be so long. We waited way too long—1 hour and 30 minutes—to be served, without receiving any adequate explanation. Even more unpleasant was the owner's attitude: instead of apologizing for the inconvenience, he simply sat down without paying any attention to the situation. A modicum of courtesy and professionalism would have made a difference. It's a shame, because the food is good, but the interminable waits and the poor service completely ruined the experience. I don't think I'll be back.

05/04/2026: Easter lunch. Excellent food and gourmet plating. Fast and friendly service. Even though the restaurant was busy, we ate very well and paid very little. We'll be back soon to try the grilled meat!
