01/03/2026: A positive experience. We tried the place out of curiosity, simply walking by and without a reservation on a Saturday evening (our fault). But they immediately welcomed us with open arms. The dinner, featuring various seafood appetizers, was excellent, both in terms of flavor and portions, and the staff, both at the tables and at the cash register (Mr. Luigi), were very friendly. The place gradually filled up, while still maintaining a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of Catania's historic center, just 50 meters from Via Etnea. The menu is varied and interesting, from appetizers to first and second courses, with dishes in the purest tradition of Catanian cuisine, reminiscent of the cooking of our mothers and grandmothers—perfect for those who want to eat well! The other dishes we saw being brought to nearby tables also looked interesting. Table service was quick, with little waiting between courses. Again, the wait staff was very kind and always available. We'll be back to try the other dishes on the menu. Thank you all for a pleasant evening.

05/03/2026: Excellent service. The food was very good, though not cheap, but the quality is simply outstanding. The ribs were incredibly juicy and tender. The burger was perfect. The dessert was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Thank you so much, I'll definitely be back.

22/02/2026: Excellent burgers, which however do not give you the feeling of fast food, but more of a home-made food, the meat and the ribs are also good, we spent 2, 22 euros each with a burger, a bottle of water, a fried chicken appetizer and a cheesecake so I would also say good value for money.

03/03/2026: We stopped in on the evening of a tiring day of traveling. My friend recommended it. He had been here for 10 years. Impeccable service, perfect food, sophisticated decor, wide and quality wine selection. This is such a perfect day. Today we only ate good food and in good places. But the crown was placed here. We left smiling and satisfied. Five stars. We will be back tomorrow.

08/03/2026: We had the profiteroles two days in a row, which we found truly delicious. We're now curious to try other desserts, since so far we've also tried the ice cream, which wasn't as good. We then tried breakfast, finding the chocolate roll delicious. Overall, everything seems to be good.

04/03/2026: Be careful, they're addictive!!! The best croissant in Sicily. Puff pastry croissant with delicate cream makes it superlative.

10/01/2026: I just celebrated my son's 18th birthday. What can I say? Everything was wonderful. Stefano, one of the owners, and I worked out everything down to the smallest detail. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, always attentive to the guests' every need. Giulio and Rosi (the manager) were truly wonderful people. What can I say about the location... wonderful, with attention to every detail inside and out.

03/03/2026: Definitely the freshest fish, excellent cuisine, and very friendly staff. A wide selection of (expensive) wines, reasonable prices, but don't overdo the main courses (sorbet, coffee, liqueurs) that add to the bill.

26/02/2026: I went for an aperitif with some friends and had a great time. The aperitif option for two was excellent... the cocktail was well-made, and the food was good and perfect for an aperitif. I highly recommend it!!

20/02/2026: Traditional Italian and Sicilian dishes, although no pasta or macaroni. They don't serve tea like most such establishments, and the same goes for the staff; they don't understand English, which is a shame.

09/03/2026: My experience at the Al Monterosso pizzeria and restaurant in Zafferana Etnea was positive. I ordered a pizza capricciosa, which impressed me with the quality of the ingredients and the impeccable cooking, fragrant and well-balanced. The space is spacious, with well-spaced tables that allow you to enjoy the evening in peace. The wait staff also deserves praise: friendly, attentive, and quick service. The only drawback is the parking, which isn't particularly convenient; you have to leave your car in the narrow side streets. Overall, however, an excellent choice for those who want to enjoy a good pizza, even with a group, in a welcoming setting.

02/03/2026: I celebrated my son Riccardo's graduation on February 26, 2026, and everything was flawless, just as I imagined. The dinner was truly exquisite, the dishes carefully prepared and delicious, the first courses and desserts greatly appreciated. The second courses were also very good; I personally would have chosen a different course, but the birthday boy had designed the menu, and I didn't want to change anything. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF. A special shout-out goes to the dining room staff, who took care of all the guests, both those with special dietary needs and everyone else. Mr. Filippo was always available and attentive to our every request, coordinating the entire evening impeccably. Finally, I would like to thank Natalie, Mrs. Santoro, and the entire staff for organizing the event. We had a wonderful evening in a stunning setting. My son was delighted with everything; it couldn't have been better. Thank you for everything.

The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, perfect for a fun evening with friends or family, where you can entertain yourself with board games and the right background music. The sandwiches are definitely one of their strong points: well-filled, tasty, and made with top-quality ingredients. The bread is fragrant, and the ingredients are fresh, well-balanced, with very successful combinations (real chicken breast!!!) and exceptional baked and fried potatoes. The menu isn't limited to sandwiches alone, but also offers platters, first courses, and second courses. The desserts are also excellent, providing a pleasant conclusion to the meal and definitely worth trying. The apple pie with cinnamon caramel 🤤 and the birramisu are particularly noteworthy. Their smoked bitters are also worth trying. The selection of craft beers is highly appreciated, with several interesting options you won't find anywhere else in Catania.
