A wonderful location—5 minutes from the Dome Cathedral, next to Theater Square. The restaurant has a cozy courtyard and home-style cuisine! Antipasti, pasta, grilled fish platter, and swordfish are just a few of the dishes we sampled during our two visits. We highly recommend it and thank the staff for their excellent service! It's best to book in advance.

Really good carbonara actually the best I’ve ever eaten already, the service was perfect! location of place is great also. Worth of an attention place! Edit: Every year during visiting Catania it’s my must seen place. I love the atmosphere and hospitality, La Pentolaccia let you feel like home.

Everything was perfect. From the risotto to the impeccable service. A generous and delicious dish on a quiet side street. I highly recommend it.

It's advisable to arrive a little early. The outdoor seating area fills up quickly when the weather is nice. But it's also cozy inside, and you always feel welcome. The food was excellent all around... whether spaghetti carbonara, caserecci Norma (!!!), or paccheri al pistacchio – everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. We would also highly recommend the fish dishes. You can find plenty of pictures here – and yes, it really looks just like that. The house wine is excellent in both white and red. Don't forget dessert... the wild strawberry cake took me right back to my childhood. That special taste of those little strawberries... simply divine. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Catania ;-)

A spacious and well-kept restaurant with an outdoor area where we had lunch. The appetizers were okay :) We really enjoyed the first courses, all very tasty and with a wide selection of traditional dishes. The waiters were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a positive overall rating, with affordable prices and good food!

A fantastic restaurant in Catania with delicious and authentic Sicilian food. The ambiance on the small piazza is lovely. We were surrounded by an Italian family enjoying our meal. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of the food. If you're looking for delicious and authentic cuisine at good prices, this is the place to go. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

A trattoria with simple, very good dishes at fair prices. I'd definitely return to try the dishes I didn't get a chance to try. The only downside is that the waiters take your plates away while you're still eating the last bite.

It was recommended to us by a guide, but it seemed like a tourist trap to me. The pasta alla norma was tomato pasta (good, huh) with two slices of cold fried eggplant on top, quite a disappointment given our high expectations. It cost €1.50 per person, and they didn't even bring us bread.
