One of the best restaurants in Catania. Dreamy first courses (caserecce with pistachio and guanciale, out of this world for the texture of the pasta and the quality of the pistachios, etc.), incredibly fair prices, professional and friendly service, top-notch Fragrantia amaro, and other exceptional dishes. The best.

Based on a review, I ordered the seafood linguine. Probably the worst I've ever had. The sauce was nothing more than the liquid from those vacuum-packed mussels (I know the product well, having tested it as a restaurant owner), and it tasted awful, nothing like the real flavor of mussels. No onions, no garlic, no white wine! A few frozen shrimp, three thick slices of calamari. A disgrace.
For dessert, the lemon torta looked like it was mass-produced.
I'm giving it 3 stars so as not to be too harsh on you.

Trattoria in a quiet location in the center of Catania. Friendly staff, happy to recommend and explain the specialties. The sardines alla beccafico are excellent, and the pasta dishes are also very good. Excellent value (€20-€30 per person).
