28/12/2025: I was not that crazy about Trattoria da Mario. First of all the service was a bit strange! When we came we were told to sit whereever as it was empty but then it turned out that they just assumed that we belonged to a larger group that they were expecting. We were placed outside which was fine and as the menu is fixed, the food was served fast. We got a lot of starters and some of them were great! But in my opinion there was too much food and hence a lot of food waste. A bottle of wine was included and the red wine was just OK and served to cold in my opinion. As a main it was possible to choose between various types of meat and I had the horse. This was fine but it was the thinnest piece of meat that I have ever had. All in all, you do get a lot for the money but I prefer to go to a restaurant where you can order a la carte instead of this concept. That is on me of course - I should have done my homework before going to this place.

19/04/2026: The Spritz was very good, the aperitif was satisfying, and then... the warm welcome from Rosi, super professional and very friendly, which was definitely an added bonus and another reason to return. Recommended!

15/05/2026: If I returned to Catania, this would be the first place I'd go back to! Delicious—in fact, indulgent—food, an excellent selection of natural wines, and the restaurant manager was truly superb! Well done...we wish there were more places like this in Italy!

08/04/2026: I'm from Naples and was in Sicily for vacation, and I was craving pizza because for us Neapolitans, it's a must. Instinct led me to this pizzeria, very welcoming and with two very friendly owners. Well, what can I say? I found the pizza exceptional, with a very light dough and flavorful ingredients on par with my hometown of Naples. Thanks for making me feel at home!

03/06/2026: Everything was perfect. The only problem was the placement of the air conditioning units, which didn't allow for proper ventilation in the room. It was a bit hot at the end of the evening. Otherwise, Mr. Giuffrida was very attentive and managed to arrange the guests so that the air conditioning could be turned on. The staff was very professional. The food was excellent, using excellent ingredients, and kudos to the chef. Everything was delicious. Definitely worth returning.

19/05/2026: There is simply always room for improvement, but given the area and offers this restaurant is perfectly good. The burgers are big, they are a bit dry but you will feel much better from eating this than a coinoffer. The ladies are sweet and nice, I have eaten in the restaurant alone and have gotten take away from there with my husband too. I really enjoy the onion ring burger, and her fries are well done and crispy - which is a rare thing here in Sicily I feel! Will definitely be back ♥️

05/05/2026: This hotel is so welcoming! The staff are so friendly and accommodating, especially Maria Teresa. Rooms are clean, airy and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and abundant. The evening meals are so diverse, fresh and we were presented with such a lovely selection of local delicacies and dishes. The location is ideal to explore the surrounding areas, and very peaceful and quiet.

01/03/2026: Last night, my daughter Roberta (who is celiac) ordered pizzas for everyone. The pizza was spectacular; unlike other occasions, I didn't wake up with a sour taste. Congratulations on the excellent quality.

26/02/2026: The pizza is very good, the problem is that the other day a large rider with glasses wasted more than half an hour to bring me a pizza in fact the pizza was already cold and he was rude to me he told me to change pizzeria because I had simply told him a little faster next time!

02/04/2026: A warm and welcoming family runs this. We were received very hospitably and the food is fantastic. A true family business that manages this alongside the farm. They are very proud of the farm and you should definitely come take a look in the barn with the son.

01/04/2026: We found the restaurant on the Internet, it was close to our place to sleep and we decided to visit it. Everything about the food was wonderful, BUT we were left with the conviction that we were not wanted there. I am aware that our Balkan appearance makes an impression and contrasts with the restaurant's customers and they could have simply told us that they had no seats or that everything was booked, but the contempt with which we were looked at was impressive, and our money has a cover everywhere. After all, we pay in Euros. I know that Italians are proud people and with high self-esteem, but I want to remind you that BULGARIA is the oldest country in Europe and has not changed its name since its creation in 681. We have our own language and we have created the Slavic alphabet in which 500 million people write. We have survived 660 years of different occupations, but we have not lost our identity, our language and our writing. So if you are foreigners from the Balkan Peninsula, change places. The guy who served us with the beard was cool.

27/03/2026: No complaints! Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Italy. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and Fabian was more than happy to answer all of our questions about the menu despite it being a busy night. The salsa agropiccante dip was insanely good and we ordered multiple rounds of it to dip the starters and pizza crusts in. Will definitely recommend and visit again when in Catania. Thank you so much for the lovely service and time!
