13/12/2025: It was my first time here, and I must say I'll gladly return... you pay little and get a lot... I ate very well, from the rustic appetizers to the first and second courses, right down to dessert and coffee. Everything was delicious, and the place was rustic yet welcoming.

24/11/2025: Alfio, the wonderful guide at the Castagno dei Cento Cavalli, recommended this restaurant for our lunch. We were delighted by the antipasto that kept arriving with so many dishes. Then our pasta which was tasty. A great view towards the sea from the windows. We enjoyed our lunch very much.

10/03/2026: A family-friendly restaurant with high-quality food and exceptional staff. The owners, a husband and wife team, are always courteous and welcoming. I've been coming here for 14 years now, and their consistent, good work is a testament to their professionalism. The icing on the cake are their homemade liqueurs, perfect for a delicious after-dinner treat. Highly recommended.

08/03/2026: Today, my wife and I had the pleasure of lunch at Trattoria Da Peppino. We ordered the half menu, consisting of appetizers and two first courses. What can I say? The place is well-kept and clean, the staff attentive and always available to answer any questions. The food was excellent. The cashier was an elderly lady, but with an enviable elegance. I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you for everything.

26/12/2025: A lovely place in the heart of beautiful Catania. Excellent food. The only shame was that we waited an hour for dinner after ordering. It may be rare, but it was unnerving, especially since the markets in Piazza Università had closed in the meantime. Regarding the bill, they even took 0.40 cents off the total.

09/02/2026: We went early cause we were hungry 😋 The restaurant was open but they were cleaning the restaurant and bathrooms. And the food was beautiful. The pizza together with the Pizza-Burger was spot on! The staff is so friendly!! I highly recommend to go to this place and try the pizza and the Pizza-Burger. Cleanliness is 10/10, Food 10/10 and Very friendly staff & Place 10/10 (And also it is pet friendly ❤️)

31/01/2026: A truly pleasant experience. The location is clean, tidy, and well-maintained (7/10), simple yet welcoming. The menu is impressive (8/10): good pizza, well-made, and with interesting options, not the usual predictable choices. The service is one of its strong points (8/10): attentive, very friendly, and capable of making you feel immediately at home. The bill also gets a thumbs up (8/10), with an excellent balance between quality and price. Overall, a highly recommended place, where you eat well and are happy to return.

28/12/2025: I was not that crazy about Trattoria da Mario. First of all the service was a bit strange! When we came we were told to sit whereever as it was empty but then it turned out that they just assumed that we belonged to a larger group that they were expecting. We were placed outside which was fine and as the menu is fixed, the food was served fast. We got a lot of starters and some of them were great! But in my opinion there was too much food and hence a lot of food waste. A bottle of wine was included and the red wine was just OK and served to cold in my opinion. As a main it was possible to choose between various types of meat and I had the horse. This was fine but it was the thinnest piece of meat that I have ever had. All in all, you do get a lot for the money but I prefer to go to a restaurant where you can order a la carte instead of this concept. That is on me of course - I should have done my homework before going to this place.

08/03/2026: Excellent seafood restaurant in the center of Catania with a modern twist. Tables inside and outside. The Aperifish concept is a good one, but reservations are required. Classic modern dishes, generous portions... Good value. Recommended.

10/02/2026: In Riposto, CT. Corso Italia, 51. Wine bar and tavern. Good selection of wines. Prices a bit high.

30/10/2025: Food is patchy. Some like the burrata was very good others like the squid ink pasta was passable. What was most annoying was the anchovy pasta without anchovies. They took the orders even though the chef later admitted that there were no anchovies available. They only owned up when challenged. Good selection of wines and friendly waiter.

15/03/2026: I went to lunch at La Polena restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food wasn't particularly well-crafted, and the menu selection was rather limited. Considering the price, I definitely expected better quality and attention to detail in the dishes. It's a real shame, because the staff was very kind and helpful throughout the service, which was certainly the highlight of the experience. I hope the restaurant can improve its offerings and the attention to detail in its dishes, because so far, the value for money hasn't lived up to expectations.

24/02/2026: We had lunch at La Polena based on a recommendation we received upon arrival, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. From the moment you arrive, you sense the attention and care they give, with small, much-appreciated gifts that kick off the experience in the best possible way. Fresh seafood dishes, beautifully balanced and cooked with authentic, well-presented flavors. Impeccable, courteous service, always available to explain every offering. Stunning views of the Aci Trezza sea, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent value. A place definitely worth a visit!

08/03/2026: Excellent and sparkling environment where you can choose to eat pizza or dine with first or second courses of meat or fish. The place is well furnished, bright and above all very large, in the summer they also have a huge outdoor space, I ate the pizza, good, if I have to complain about something it is the too close proximity between one table and another, to pass in spaces too narrow for a place of that modest standard.

16/02/2026: The restaurant has several rooms and plenty of seating. The missing fifth star is only due to the lack of parking, as it was really difficult to find one in the area (also due to it being Valentine's Day and the restaurant being packed). The staff were very friendly, both at the reception and during dinner. The quality of the menu—varied and catering to every palate—justifies the slightly above-average prices. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, with unique combinations and sophisticated flavors. We tried the baked potatoes with cacio e pepe cream as an appetizer and two pizzas, one with charcoal (wonderful!!!). We also looked at the tables and everything looked truly delicious. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant, congratulations!

26/12/2025: I spent Christmas in this magnificent hotel, where peace, silence, and courtesy reign supreme. The staff is nothing short of exceptional. A special thanks to Ezio for "fixing" my breakfast, Serena, and to Matteo, the seasoned waiter! But also to everyone else, good people dedicated to their work who make kindness and a smile an art. And that's usually not easy with guests. The setting is beautiful, the Christmas decorations original. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. The dishes are beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The portions are also not bad. In short, you leave the table feeling full but not overly so. So, not feeling heavy. My compliments also go to the chef, of course, for that excellent pumpkin cream and that rice with artichoke cream, sublime, for which almost everyone in the dining room asked for seconds. We did the couples spa treatment. It's a shame we didn't think of massages sooner; we would have loved to have them. The girls there were also very friendly, and for the 90 minutes there were no crowds, just a few couples. The biscuits were also excellent. In short, they were two beautiful days. We spent them peacefully and quietly. Enjoyed them until the very last moment. If you want to enjoy the beauty of Catania, choose Hotel Itria and you won't regret it. Thank you

01/03/2026: Last night, my daughter Roberta (who is celiac) ordered pizzas for everyone. The pizza was spectacular; unlike other occasions, I didn't wake up with a sour taste. Congratulations on the excellent quality.

26/02/2026: The pizza is very good, the problem is that the other day a large rider with glasses wasted more than half an hour to bring me a pizza in fact the pizza was already cold and he was rude to me he told me to change pizzeria because I had simply told him a little faster next time!
