Vuciata - kitchen market In Catania

I'm a Japanese person living in Northern Italy. I visited with a friend on vacation in April 2024. Vuciata was one of the restaurants recommended by the hotel we stayed at. I had grilled octopus, layered eggplant and fish, and spaghetti vongole. My friend had squid ink spaghetti instead of vongole. The vongole was average, but my friend said the squid ink spaghetti was the best in the world. I also shared a bite, and it was certainly delicious to the highest level. The service from the staff was also great.

Excellent pasta dishes, specifically the mussels with clams brought tears to our eyes, good service, fast and friendly, the touristy neighborhood although if you go first thing in the morning you will find the peculiar market with the fish and vegetable sellers.

Nice place, impeccable service. The grilled fish was good, but not great. Wine was too hot for me.

Food great, service lukewarm...

I visited this pleasant restaurant with my family. Pleasant space, good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food, I especially recommend pasta with octopus ragu or pasta with bacon and artichokes. My recommendations

Unbelievable friendliness! Immediately got table on the terrace. Got wine recommendation(Etneide Etna Rosso by Pennisi . "Guys that what you should go for!)", They were right. The waiters were attentive and always looked after us if we needed something. Now the food: the homemade pasta here is absolutely real! Only a few places even in Italy can make such perfect pasta. However the marinated raw shrimps was not a must die for neither the cheesy potato wedges. The rest of our table were similarly impressed by the quality of the food. For sure this is mainly seafood restaurant. Waiters recommended the house cannolo and I have to say I don't like sweet stuff but this one was out of this world. Nice one! DO NOT hesitate come here and eat a pretty much perfect dinner.

Localizada no alegre e colorido mercado do mesmo nome, o Vuciata oferece os tagliolini de massa fresca com a bottarga, que apesar da sua simplicidade, e talvez por isto, são de derreter em boca, delicados e com um delicioso aroma do mar. Claro, que, devcem ser acompanhados por um bianco siciliano (vinhos do Etna casam super bem!).

Typical Sicilian food. All very good and in generous quantities. The cannoli is fantastic. Friendly and professional service.

Excellent food. Excellent value for money. Mixed fried, grilled, pasta and tuna steak: all excellent and the generous portions worthy of the name. Friendly and attentive staff, but never invasive. Change of cutlery at each course very welcome. Even though I hadn't booked, they made every effort to get a table. Experience to be repeated

Really good Calamaro ripieno, big in size, not dry. With a side salad of Catanese salad which was refreshing and then the coldest glass of Grillo that I’ve ever had. Great meal. Service was friendly and attentive. A fair price for the meal. Happily go back.
