02/05/2026: Cannoli and granita with brioche: phenomenal! Mind you, this is, just a pasticceria, hence no coffee and no seating.

21/02/2026: A very charming little spot for an aperitivo or aperitivo with indoor and outdoor seating. The cocktails are beautifully crafted, and the snacks also help spark pleasant conversation. There's paid parking nearby in blue lines in Catania's nightlife district.

17/05/2026: Excellent value for money. The pizza and pasta were great. We expected a bit more from the bruschetta salmon, but that shouldn't detract from the overall impression. Fun fact: They also offer Ukrainian dishes, and the menu is trilingual.

07/05/2026: ​This enoteca comes highly recommended, and for good reason! The owner is super friendly and made our visit truly unforgettable. They have thousands of wines to choose from and serve delicious cheeses and hams. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Sicily!

12/04/2026: It's lost a lot over the years. At first, it was really good, but over time, the fish has started to taste like the ice they serve it with. The sushi variations? Everything is completely the same, no matter how different you order. Same thing for the staff. It's gotten worse, almost throwing things at you.

29/05/2026: Michelin-recommended restaurant. We came as a family of three. Dishes were bland or tasteless (steak tartare), and the small pieces of sea bream were overcooked (fish). Cooking fish to order is a prerequisite for a chef, and what's more, it's listed in the Michelin Guide. Portions were very small (fish and ravioli). On the other hand, the amuse-bouches and the Etna spritz were good. The exterior and interior are attractive. We came on a hotel recommendation. No extra perks were offered spontaneously. In the end, we received three small glasses of limoncello and very hard biscuits. (These three small glasses are offered at the end by almost all restaurants, which avoid giving out very hard biscuits). So, very expensive for what it is. They require you to order at least two courses (like a shopping trip). One can understand why (closed at lunchtime and small portions), but this isn't generally done, especially in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

22/05/2026: Dinner for my birthday. Booked via the form on their website, which asks us to indicate any intolerances/allergies (I'm writing this down because it will be crucial later). We decided to do the €130 raw fish menu for a couple, which consists of nine courses of raw fish, specifically chosen by the chef. We wanted to follow it with a first course each, thinking we'd still be hungry afterward. The waitress advised us to decide later, and she was right, because we were "satisfied." At this stage, too, we were asked about any allergies/intolerances (and we mentioned them, as we had done when booking). The problems arose during the courses. On two different courses (the final tuna tartare, for sure, and the cod sashimi, or some other fish I can't remember), I found some scales and immediately reported it. The response was "ah," not an "excuse me," but a "we'll do it again," or "we'll bring something else." Nothing at all. Both on the first and second occasion. Oh well, I think to myself, they'll offer us a dessert, a liqueur to apologize... But what I think was even worse was the tuna tartare (the last course), which arrived with a peach sauce that the waitress was about to pour upon serving, even though, as I mentioned before, we'd been told we were allergic to it! Luckily, it was stopped in time thanks to our promptness, and again, no apologies or anything. The sauce wasn't replaced with anything else, with complete disregard. I think you expect more from a Michelin-starred restaurant. It's a shame because I certainly found the ingredients excellent, as well as the attention to detail in the dishes. Total spent €195 with a bottle of wine and two desserts. When paying "in cash," the waitress hesitated for a tip, which in other cases I would have gladly left, but given the issues presented and highlighted and no way to apologize, we preferred not to leave anything. I don't usually leave negative reviews, because I usually point them out when there are problems. But here, we've never had any complaints, even though we first highlighted the scales and then the sauce issue.

21/05/2026: Finally, we were able to sit down for lunch with the group at 3 pm. We asked for a menu and had divine minestrone soup, tortellini and cannoli. The service was fast and we even got a repeta. ❤️ There was also a free mineral water and a bottle of wine waiting for us on the table. We paid 22 euros for all of this. I recommend it to everyone.

19/05/2026: Three set menus, the cheapest at 18 and 22 euros, included a simple pasta dish (decent), a very basic salad, and an undrinkable bottle of wine...with water and no dessert. A spacious place clearly aimed at tourist groups; food that's just a quick bite.

04/02/2026: This pastry shop is amazing! Every time I return to San Michele di Ganzaria, a stop here is a must. Their desserts are simply extraordinary, but the real stars are their famous bananas—a true delight that's hard to find anywhere else! These sweets are the perfect combination of deliciousness and artisanal craftsmanship: soft, fragrant, and with that authentic flavor that lets you know they're made with genuine ingredients and a lot of passion. Every bite is an experience that takes me back to the flavors of the most authentic Sicilian tradition. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they put their heart into what they do. The pastry shop is always clean and tidy, and the aroma that greets you as soon as you enter is simply irresistible. If you pass through San Michele di Ganzaria, you absolutely can't miss this pastry shop, and especially their bananas—they're a gastronomic treasure of the town! Excellent quality, fair prices, and a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended! 🍰👌​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
