05/05/2025: I ate a delicious pepperoni pizza that I intend to eat again 🤩, nice welcoming place, very familiar and the price is fair and not exaggerated 🤗

22/02/2025: Usually the pizzeria is excellent, except for one Saturday when the experience was terrible. Starting with the employee at the order reception who was in a clear state of confusion... she invites me to wait an hour and wait for a further phone call from her, she gets her surname wrong, she forgets to call me so I decide to call her myself to find out how it had ended given that the first hour had already passed and if at first she tells me to wait again, she immediately corrects herself and tells me that the pizzas are almost ready to go out. finally after 1 hour and a half of waiting and confusion I can enjoy my pizza, but here too I notice a markedly worsening quality compared to the past... non-existent mozzarella, replaced by a substitute cheese in my opinion, tasteless. It's a shame, I hope they can return to the culinary-receptive quality of the past.

25/05/2025: It's a restaurant with a very cool atmosphere, with a decor and menu themed around Italian actors, actresses, and film directors. The portions are huge, the flavor incredible, and they even adapted my gluten-free dish. And they also make gluten-free pizzas. I'm incredibly grateful.

08/05/2025: I can't understand the negative reviews I read, I went there twice for lunch and both times I ate well. Food not of a high culinary school but cooked well and with the right portions, nice and welcoming location, prices not very high and, a fact not to be overlooked, all filled with the friendliness of the owner and his sister. When I'm in the area I will definitely go back.

29/04/2025: I honestly don't understand why other reviews are raving about this place. The service was awkward and mediocre. I wanted to order a wine, but got told quite rudely she'd take my order for a drink, after I ordered the food. The food was just tragic. Steak tartare was tasty, but the main was an insult to Italian food. The baked potatoes were old and reheated; some were stone cold, some were lucewarm. Some were raw, some were mushy. Really nasty. The "roasted lamb" were 3 small cuts of grilled lamb with bone. Nothing more. The pistachio-crusted steak was an unseasoned piece of meat without the crust. For €28,-!!! The wines were ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. No explanation about them either. For a WINE bar, you'd expect at least some passion about the wines. Don't spend your money here, there are tons of other places that actually have love and passion for their food.

15/04/2025: Saturday 12 April 2025, my partner and I decide to have dinner at "Paradise". I knew the place, but it had been too long since I'd been back. No need to dwell: we ordered two pizzas and two beers. The pizzas were literally amazing; thanks to a very high quality dough which, in hindsight, proved to be decisive for their extreme lightness. Honest prices and immensely impeccable service. In this regard, I would like to address a special thank you to the girls who served us, especially because despite the chaos we were pleasantly satisfied (it was still a Saturday evening and I admit that, also noticing a frighteningly "pressing" takeaway, I feared monstrous waiting times, but that wasn't the case). The environment is quite spartan, but let's say that you can only experience this fact first-hand on Saturday evenings. After all, alas, I think it applies to all pizzerias when we have to deal, in spite of ourselves, with hordes of kids or arrogant parents ready to invade these refreshment points on the sixth day of the week... In any case, I recommend you stop by. Pizzeria Paradise has nothing to envy compared to other much more renowned pizzerias without a truly valid reason. In fact, it's worth a hundred times more. Try it to believe it.

10/05/2025: The worst horse meatballs of my life. Serve just warm and dry. A shame for a city like Catania which has a great tradition in horse meat dishes. Baked potatoes are good

Problems arose when I was asked to pay a supplement for the birthday cake, purchased separately and brought BY ME and which I also had to cut... When I asked for explanations I was told that by bringing the cake from outside I had caused an inconvenience and that I was required to pay for the service (a double place setting in practice), I repeat that the cake was cut by me... Did I pay for two extra plates? Unacceptable

17/05/2025: A tour of Etna? Here is the starting point! From Paradise the itinerary starts (photocopies available to tourists) for Rifugio Sapienza, Etna Cableway and Silvestri Craters. Then, reaching Zafferana Etnea, the other excursions to the Etna North part start. And after the excursions here is a welcoming, private and quiet environment where you can rest with a view of the olive groves and orchards, volcano and fantastic green countryside! Here is the ideal place to relax and prepare the new excursion perhaps pushing on to Taormina! Beautiful rooms and excellent cuisine, kindness, courtesy and competence of all the staff. Highly recommended.

16/05/2025: A hotel run with great care by a father and daughter, where everything is just right. There's a pizzeria and a traditional Italian restaurant, both serving food and drinks at very reasonable prices, with three types of draft beer available. We had a room with a balcony overlooking Mount Etna, spewing glowing lava, which was very impressive. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

13/05/2025: I have been going to this place for years and the new management has pleasantly surprised me. I have finally found dishes that are different from those that are commonly offered by local restaurants, good quality of food and wines, and a pleasant cordiality of the owners. I only found the price of the glass of local bulk wine a little high. It is worth stopping by here.
