22/12/2025: The place is truly unique, but I have to admit that the occasional hope of seeing an ant crawling on my chair doesn't make me jump for joy. The food is good, although the ghioza were not very flavorful and the ramen was a bit too sweet. Otherwise, everything was perfect, especially the very helpful staff.

22/12/2025: The food was very good and the service impeccable. I found the atmosphere calm and welcoming. I would gladly return, but I have two small things to say: 1. I sat near the rock wall, and there were ants. 2. I ordered the ramen, and it was a little sweet.

01/06/2026: The place is a bit dark and poorly lit. We had booked a table inside because dining outside on the street with cars passing by would be worse. There was no air conditioning in the place so the evening was really difficult. The pizzas were good overall even if they served one that was burnt, the same person wasn't even brought the beer he had ordered with the pizza but on the other hand it was on the bill.

19/01/2026: A pizzeria in Catania near the city center, with a modern atmosphere and a good selection of appetizers, salads, and pizzas. The dough and quality of the ingredients are good. I didn't like the fact that, having chosen burrata as an appetizer, they didn't serve anything to accompany it, no bread, or you had to pay for the focaccia. A good selection of desserts to round off the meal with a delicious finish.

02/02/2026: I went there for the first time and it was a real surprise. The food was exquisite, with balanced and authentic flavors. The sangria was also delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel at ease and often asking how everything was going. I really appreciated this "pampering." I recommend everyone to go there!

31/03/2026: A historic Catania restaurant. We were guests of local friends, and they took us to this historic and characteristic restaurant. We were served by Mr. Mario, an extremely knowledgeable person who made us feel at ease and recommended typical dishes. We were truly pampered and felt at home. The dishes were excellent, everything freshly cooked and the fish was extremely fresh. Compliments to the management, professionalism, and courtesy of all the staff.

14/03/2026: A great place for an aperitif with friends. Nice, multicultural atmosphere. Tourists. A popular place for passing through and meeting people. Well-made drinks and food, too; perfect for dinner.

12/03/2026: Excellent stracciatella-anchovy tostadas and vermouth frizz. The non-alcoholic cherry cocktail wasn't very interesting and was too sweet. Pleasant and quick service.

Located in the heart of Catania, on one of the most beautiful streets in the historic center, the restaurant successfully combines atmosphere, cuisine, and character. The outdoor seating is elegant and relaxed, with rattan chairs, umbrellas, and a street view that lets you fully enjoy the baroque center. Perfect for a leisurely lunch or a long aperitivo. We found a rich and generous pasta with eggplant ragù, with those deep Sicilian flavors you expect—and that aren't always found. But the real surprise was the cungatizzo—crispy focaccias topped with prosciutto, figs, walnuts, and mint—a bold and delicious combination. It's no coincidence that their motto is "Cungatizzo is better than pizza": it's hard to argue with that. To finish, an ice-cold Spritz as the afternoon passed by. What more could you ask for? Fair prices, friendly service, a clear identity. Buatta knows exactly what it wants to be—and it succeeds.
