01/03/2026: A positive experience. We tried the place out of curiosity, simply walking by and without a reservation on a Saturday evening (our fault). But they immediately welcomed us with open arms. The dinner, featuring various seafood appetizers, was excellent, both in terms of flavor and portions, and the staff, both at the tables and at the cash register (Mr. Luigi), were very friendly. The place gradually filled up, while still maintaining a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of Catania's historic center, just 50 meters from Via Etnea. The menu is varied and interesting, from appetizers to first and second courses, with dishes in the purest tradition of Catanian cuisine, reminiscent of the cooking of our mothers and grandmothers—perfect for those who want to eat well! The other dishes we saw being brought to nearby tables also looked interesting. Table service was quick, with little waiting between courses. Again, the wait staff was very kind and always available. We'll be back to try the other dishes on the menu. Thank you all for a pleasant evening.

05/04/2026: A very nice, traditional restaurant. High-class, very friendly service, and wonderful cuisine. Unfortunately, we didn't get a table until 9:15 pm on Holy Saturday, which was a bit late for us to eat. I would have loved to have some dessert otherwise. The only vegetarian option I found was gnocchi au gratin (absolutely delicious). The friendly chef who took our order would certainly have been able to prepare something else.

03/04/2026: Outstanding cuisine and impeccable service. The Nudo e Crudo was incredibly fresh, and the caponata with cocoa was a masterstroke of balance. A true highlight was the Cous Cous alla Trapanese with its rich, deep fish broth. My evening was elevated by the exceptional Francesco Intorcia Heritage wine line: from the bone-dry Vergine (no sugar) with the raw fish to the Ambra Semisecco with the couscous. The finale with Tiramisù and the dessert Ambra Dolce was the perfect conclusion. Special recognition to my waiter (a Black gentleman) for his remarkable attention and professionalism—he truly made my evening unforgettable. A pure gastronomic delight!

21/11/2025: Absolutely amazing! A real authentic place in the touristy Noto. Top notch lasagna and their house wines are definitely great with any type of dish you pick from the menu. Last but not least, if you're lucky, the owners brings out his guitar and plays you some real Sicilian tunes!!! Don't miss out on this gem

07/04/2026: We did a beautiful hike from Taormina up to the top of the hill, which was definitely the highlight of our visit. The views were absolutely breathtaking — we could see Etna, the sea, and the Teatro Greco. It was truly stunning. In the evening after the dinner we went all the way down by walk, very easy, comfortable and illuminated. The restaurant also offers a very nice view, but I would recommend going when the weather is warm and the windows are open to fully enjoy it. The service was very kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The food was good —around four-star, but we had slightly higher expectations when it came to the cuisine.

06/12/2025: We came here on the last night of our trip and it was delicious. Not the best pasta I had in Castellammare, but it was flavourful and huge portions with lots of seafood. The addition of curry in the ravioli sauce was unusual but it worked. The staff are very friendly - we ordered a carafe of wine and only had the thick stemmed water glasses. They were quick to bring us proper white wine glasses and were welcoming of our attempts at Italian! The outside area is on a slant which isn’t the most comfortable but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I would come here again!

08/11/2025: In September, we dined at "La.maidda" a few evenings and had a wonderful time. The first and second courses were incredibly fresh fish. The tuna and pistachio steak was fantastic. The house wine was excellent. The price was reasonable for the dishes. Recommended!

16/02/2026: In Acireale, I tasted truly exceptional arancini: perfectly golden, crispy breading, and a rich, creamy filling that exudes all the flavor of true Sicilian tradition. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in frying them, which is dry and flawless. Kudos to the chef and owner, who with passion and great professionalism transforms a classic Sicilian dish into a true masterpiece.

15/11/2025: A place where everything is gluten-free: perfect for celiacs. Both the cannoli and the genovese (try both with ricotta) are out of this world. I could compare them to Totti's chip goal at San Siro. The sandwiches and arancini are also very good. Suitable for breakfast, afternoon snacks, lunch, and dinner. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

In the heart of Palermo, the Sciarrino brothers have built something beyond the classic pizzeria: a place where technique, research, and Sicilian identity coexist perfectly. The dough is clearly the result of careful study: light, flavorful, and extremely digestible. Each bite delivers balance, without ever being heavy. What's most striking is the ability to transform simple, local ingredients into contemporary, elegant, and never banal pizzas. The pizza I chose tonight, with fennel, anchovy, oranges, and wild fennel, and a touch of orange oil, was immediately a refined reminder of a typical ancient Palermo salad: fresh, citrusy, with a perfect balance of sweetness and aroma. A thoughtfully crafted pizza, crafted with intelligence and a strong personality that evoked childhood memories of my grandparents' house in the summer, that unique aroma of that salad that only as an adult did I truly appreciate, and that only those who know tradition can remember! The truffle pasta frittatina with fresh shavings was also extraordinary: crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, intense, enveloping, but always well-balanced, without being overbearing. The sausage and broccoli rabe my boyfriend chose was also impeccably executed: top-quality ingredients, well-balanced flavor, and a dough that enhanced every element without overpowering it. At Cagliostro, you can sense a constant research into flours, leavening, cooking methods, and the selection of raw materials. But what makes this place special is that all this technique is never ostentatious: it arrives at the table naturally, through pizzas that express Palermo in a modern, elegant, and recognizable way. A place that truly deserves all the accolades it's received to date, and much more! Well done guys!
