I had dinner with my partner (who has celiac disease) at this restaurant. It's a welcoming and well-maintained place. She asked for pasta alla norma, and the kitchen immediately fried the eggplants because they reported that the ones they had prepared were contaminated. The pasta was plentiful and delicious. As a true BARI resident (a fish lover), I asked for something off the menu; it was very fresh, delicious, and perfectly creamed. Those dishes embody the quality of the products, the knowledge, and the passion of those who work hard. Kudos to the entire staff. The only downside? This cuisine is addictive.

A truly delicious fish restaurant! The fish and seafood were extremely fresh and expertly prepared. The service team was also very attentive and friendly. We felt completely at ease and will gladly return. Highly recommended!

If you're passing through Porto Empedocle, stopping at Sergio Stagno's Coltello e Forchetta shouldn't be an option, but a must. Six of us dined here and had one of the best culinary experiences we've ever had. We started with incredibly fresh raw fish, spectacular octopus salad, and two exceptional fried dishes: crispy, light, and above all, not at all greasy. Without exaggeration, the best fried dishes I've ever eaten. All this was accompanied by excellent bread, enjoyed with Sicilian olive oil served at the table—a simple pairing that further showcased the quality of the ingredients. During dinner, we tasted three different bottles of wine, all personally recommended by Sergio based on the dishes we chose. Precise and perfectly timed recommendations made the experience even more complete. The real magic, however, came with a magnificent 4kg snapper. Despite the request coming in rather late during service, it was cooked with extraordinary care and professionalism. Sergio never showed the slightest discomfort, despite knowing that a fish of that size requires at least an hour to cook. In fact, he even invited us into the kitchen to show it to us and explain the work involved. A gesture that speaks louder than a thousand words about the passion, pride, and love he puts into his work. The fish was accompanied by potatoes that to call exceptional is an understatement: they literally melted in my mouth. I've never tasted anything so good. And I could say the same about the fish: incredibly fresh, flavorful, perfectly cooked. It's truly difficult to find the words to describe it. A special thanks also goes to the waitress who looked after us throughout the evening: kind, smiling, helpful, and always attentive to our every need. She made a decisive contribution to making the dinner enjoyable, relaxing, and impeccable in every way. The restaurant is beautiful and has a very clear identity. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the fish counter, where you can see the catch of the day and choose what to have prepared. Each product is explained with expertise and transparency, making the quality of the offerings immediately apparent. We sat in the upstairs dining room: an elegant, refined setting, meticulously curated down to the smallest details, with pleasant background music that perfectly complemented an already memorable dinner. At the end of the evening, as if that weren't enough, we were offered various amaros and had the pleasure of hearing the story of the restaurant and its owner. Sergio is a young, well-prepared man with a passion for work that is increasingly rare these days. His passion shines through in every detail: from the welcome to the choice of ingredients, from the service to the attention to detail in the dishes, to the selection of staff. More than just a dinner, it was an authentic culinary experience, characterized by quality, hospitality, and a love of the sea. We will definitely be back. To anyone passing through Porto Empedocle, I can only say one thing: don't miss this experience.

29/04/2026: We came for dinner without a reservation, and yet... it was a fantastic dinner! I loved the sardines alla beccafico and the red mullet, but they're so delicious. We'd have to come back every night to truly enjoy everything on the menu. The location is truly enchanting, and the service is perfect. Recommended for everyone, especially for intimate, romantic dinners.

11/05/2026: I'm still speechless! If you come here, you absolutely must try the "montanarine" as an appetizer: soft, light, and incredibly flavorful. The one with red shrimp is my favorite, such a riot of flavors that I would have eaten 10 more because it was so good. The pizza is also delicious; you can tell they use top-quality ingredients, and the dough is incredibly easy to digest. But the real highlight are the owners: they have a smile plastered on their faces, always ready with a joke, and an energy that lights up the entire room. You feel like you're visiting old friends instead of being in a restaurant. The highest quality and a unique atmosphere—you really couldn't ask for more!
