This little place, right across from Catania's historic fish market, is absolutely gorgeous: fresh fish guaranteed!
There are stools outside to enjoy while watching the hustle and bustle of Catania's nightlife. Inside, the quieter atmosphere is evident in the small room filled with photos of famous people who have passed by and newspaper articles praising the place.
The cone filled with fried mixed fish is exceptional!
The chinotto liqueur in a personalized glass bottle is also excellent.

We're in the heart of Catania's street food scene, right in front of the fish market, with its deafening noise, its smells, and perhaps this is the folkloristic part. Since I'd heard about the award for best street food, I wanted to try it. The staff were very friendly. However, I found the quality a bit low. But who knows, maybe it was just a bad day. It can happen.

The food tasted okay, but there wasn't much fish in the sandwich.
The price was initially appealing. This was probably due in part to the small portions: three pieces of baby cod for €9. One sandwich, cut in half, cost €8 and had lots of onions but very little fish.
We also had to pay an additional €1.60 (7%) for "eco-packing"... something we've never seen before.
I wouldn't come back. Better to spend a little more at a regular restaurant or try a different snack bar.

If you want to experience the true spirit of Sicilian seafood, this is the perfect place. Seriously, though, it's an interesting experience, with very tasty dishes. Highly recommended.
