02/07/2025: Terrible mix and match, nothing special. Our experience at the beginning of June was totally negative, reading the reviews we expected great things, they even talk about difficulty in finding a flaw and excellence in the meat but we, 4, struggled to find a quality. The excellence in catering and meat are quite different. Going in order MENU: the menu is on QR code and so far nothing strange but it is necessary to download the restaurant app to be able to view it, a bizarre choice in 2025 if we consider memory space on phones or data consumption at which point we ask for a paper copy and they bring us a tablet with photos of the dishes that unfortunately reminds us of AYCE sushi restaurants and so far they are choices, questionable, but choices. ORDER: The order is taken from memory by the waiter who starts off in fourth gear trying to direct the table's ordering on large cuts (and obviously €€€) talking about a central sharing policy of the dishes which however I don't think is specified elsewhere, the waiter returns "in the ranks" only after having pointed out to him that if the menu includes an entrecote as a single portion then we are entitled to also order individual dishes and cuts of meat. We order an appetizer to share, 3 meat dishes (one of which is large to be divided between 2) and two side dishes. Spoiler: the appetizer will never arrive, one of the two side dishes is wrong being baked potatoes and not fried. mistakes can happen but the worst part was seeing the waiter's victim attitude after having pointed out the various mistakes, mistakes that he had well understood he had made but without approaching the table to apologize (after all we only waited for an appetizer for 40 minutes and understood it would not arrive only after seeing the meat arrive) FOOD: fortunately I have seen several restaurants of various types, ranges and genres and I can say that we did not detect quality or "excellent" meat at all, if we had not put tasty oil on top of the meat the flavor would have been absolutely mediocre and insignificant, unjustified compared to the prices offered. SERVICE: The impression is that it's all a "I would like to but I can't", that is, I would like to be a high-level restaurant (price, quality and service) but the preparation is lacking and the execution is disastrous, for example the expensive cover charge (5€ if I remember correctly) and then they set the glass with the high-end restaurant glove (I swear it is done once you are seated!) but then the concept is "steak house" with the wooden table not set so the confusion is evident in the concept and execution. The cloth napkin is then inexplicably changed at the end of the meal asking to put it in a wooden tray as an offertory and then provided with another where an essence is sprayed that is not better presented. Some sweet and crunchy tastings are brought on a trolley (...) and presented in a solemn way while above our table a monitor shows a closed circuit camera that frames the kitchens and in particular the grill where the chosen cuts are cooked. To date the mix of these choices is still not clear to me nor unfortunately does it give the desired effect to customers. The feeling is that the identity of this steakhouse is not clear even to those who studied and created it. The general enthusiasm of the reviews remains inexplicable to me, either it is not clear among the customers what is an acceptable level of catering and meat quality or only positive reviews are left. I do not recommend nor would I return.

Excellent value for money, highly recommended for your events.

01/05/2025: Because of the Italian Labor Day holiday, my wife and I decided to explore parts of Martina Franco we’ve yet to see. During our 8 km’s walk, we came across Caffè Olivieri. As soon as we walked in, the typical Italian warmth we’ve become accustomed to, with smiles greeted us. We had coffee, some delicious dolce treats, including Gelatti! The dolce, and the Gelatti were just soooo delicious! Go and explore parts of Martina Franco and its hidden treasures. Caffè Olivieri is one of those hidden treasures❣️

31/07/2025: Amazing culinary experience. Omicidio polposo was a great choice. If you have it for dinner, I'd recommend having a walk helping to digest before sleeping, not what I did 😂

16/07/2025: Excellent location in the center near the cathedral. Beautiful restaurant, probably created in a historic stone cellar. Excellent menu. The price is fair considering the quality of the dishes and the good service. I recommend the appetizers, cavatelli, and the excellent desserts.

12/07/2025: We had a lovely family meal here on our last night in Puglia, we wished we’d have found it earlier as we would have come again! The food was the best we’d had in Puglia, local dishes elevated to the next level, fine dining in a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The chef and staff were excellent, with great wine and food recommendations along with superb service. Would highly recommend.

07/08/2025: The restaurant is beautiful in a small, somewhat remote town. A large vaulted stone ceiling, soft lighting, a simple and elegant table, and just the right atmosphere. The wait staff were welcoming, professional, and courteous. We appreciated both their courtesy and their ever-present smiles. As for the food: everything was good, with a few caveats: the carbonara was "as it should be," very good, but the guanciale wasn't crispy. The Fassona beef tartare was delicious, a generous portion for an appetizer, but truly well executed with a slow-cooked egg. The roasted octopus was perfectly cooked. The only shame is that—despite being a main course—the portion was really small. With a couple more tentacles, it would have been a perfect dish. One last note: we didn't receive the oil for tasting with the bread, which we saw being brought to other tables. I think it was an oversight, a shame because it would have been an extra treat. Highly recommended.

30/06/2025: Chocolate Café is truly a fantastic place! The pastries and brioches are fabulous, always fresh and delicious. The ice cream is also exceptional, creamy and full of flavor. A special thanks goes to Christian, always kind, helpful and very careful about cleaning. Also all the staff is very good and welcoming. I can't wait for the new ice cream shop to open in the square in Carovigno... it will surely be another success!

We had already tried the pasticciotto and rustico: a delight! We've never eaten anything so good. Last night we went for dinner, from the starter to the dessert, everything was perfect! In the heart of Marittima, a pleasant and welcoming place. Thank you.
