We had lunch with friends over the May 1st long weekend. The location was nice and welcoming. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered mussel sauté, four fish entrees, a fried fish dish, and a bottle of rosé wine. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Prices were average. I recommend it.

We arrived without a reservation (our mistake) and were given a small table near the restroom entrance. A reservation seems essential if you really want to go here. The champagne coolers that had been left out weren't put away. Overall, the place has a touristy feel, but it's also frequented by Italians. The fish is presented hastily in Italian, but the seemingly dried-out pieces weren't appealing to us. The waiter, formerly from Düsseldorf, was pleasant and tried his best with good German, but in the end, the fish was ruined after being plated and had bones (you can do better in the neighborhood...). The younger waiter, also from Italy, was busy but not particularly engaging.

Excellent cuisine, both meat and seafood. Dishes are well-prepared and presented. An intimate and welcoming restaurant in the historic center. Prompt and professional service. Good wine selection.
