07/10/2024: Friendly restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Bruschetta, steak and orechiette alla mattinatese were very tasty and the price was absolutely reasonable. You can sit in a cozy atmosphere in the small alley with the steps.

05/01/2025: Capitata a pranzo con la mia famiglia per far visita al Santuario del S.Padre Pio, posto accogliente, pulito e personale disponibile a trovarci posto per 9 persone non avendo prenotato. Cibo tipico consigliato dallo staff eccellente, tutto buonissimo. Registrata perché la prossima volta che capiteremo da quelle parti ci torneremo sicuramente 😊

26/11/2024: Unfortunately the last pizzas (paid 38 euros) were to say the least not up to par with all the previous ones enjoyed in this place. I feel like saying and I repeat with great sadness that this "piece" of the place has unfortunately had a terrible collapse!!! It's a shame because for me it was a point of reference, or rather the only one, for enjoying an excellent gourmet pizza

10/11/2024: The first experience at "La Campagnola" in Bitritto was a pleasant discovery because we found everything that contributes to spending an evening eating pizza out: quality ingredients on a light dough, attentive and discreet staff, excellent "location". Already at the entrance you are impressed by the stone coverings on the walls and vaults which create a suggestive and out of the ordinary environment; even the oven at the entrance doesn't spoil the atmosphere because the entrance is beautiful and spacious. The staff accompanied the entire evening with pleasantness, always present but without being noticed. Really good! And then, let's not forget these two beautiful tasty pizzas with soft edges to be enjoyed to the full. The desserts are also good (a babà with cream and a tiramisu), you will absolutely have to come back and try the cuisine of the tavern because everything promises very well.

26/11/2024: Booked a table for 1pm. At 12.50 we receive a cancellation call from the owner due to the lack of electricity due to road works. We traveled many kilometers to come and have lunch in this place. That's how it went. Displaced and without alternatives, we had lunch in a place very close to the venue where there were no electricity problems. Sin. We would have expected different treatment from the management anyway... even an invitation to the restaurant (we were practically close to the entrance when we received the call), maybe a glass of wine (even water) and a goodbye on another occasion... .Instead...

05/11/2024: I had a meal in this restaurant of pasta, tomato sauce and meatballs which was really very good! You should still keep in mind that the town of Gallipoli is a tourist town and that ultimately the prices are rather high. However, this restaurant remains a very good and recommendable address.

31/10/2024: We went for dinner three times. Family run business, every dish is excellent. Only the background music takes some getting used to.

01/12/2024: A good restaurant, simple but good dishes, the frying disappointed me because the calamari was frozen and therefore rubbery, price a little high for two first courses, a second course and an appetizer and a glass of wine, I don't know if I will go back.

22/11/2024: Nice restaurant with Italian and steak dishes. The food is okay but not special. The local focaccias are delicious. When ordering, everything comes to the table at the same time. The staff is attentive and friendly. The free bread for which you pay the service fee afterwards is, like in many Italian restaurants, dry and you don't want to eat it. The house wine by the glass is fine if you don't want to order a whole bottle. The prices of food and drinks are very reasonable by western European standards.

28/12/2024: Authentic and wonderful corner where you can breathe the Salento air, under a stone arch, outdoors even in winter, but heated (it also has a small room indoors). The restaurant is very small and characteristic, the menu is displayed on a blackboard and offers typical Salento dishes from appetizers (pittule, potato meatballs) to second courses (gnumareddi). We tried the horse meatballs and the mixed veal meatballs and they were both excellent. Also good are the mozzarella in carrozza and the platter with fresh goat's cheese and pizza de cristu (which is a spicy salami). As first courses we tasted the spaghetti with hill olives and pistachios with caciocavallo and the very tasty tortelli in broth. We then wanted to try the bowlers which everyone agreed on their goodness. Everything was accompanied by a Saturnino rosé wine. The owner was extremely friendly, he affectionately told us how he welcomes and takes care of the neighborhood's stray cats, who wandered around the tables looking for food and cuddles. This place made us feel at home, we had a very pleasant evening. We will definitely return to try the other dishes. Highly recommended.

16/11/2024: In a small village like Alliste there is a lively food and wine scene and among the various restaurants and trattorias Il Danvé stands out.... Excellent pizza from classic to gourmet. She is neither Neapolitan nor Roman. It's Danvé's pizza. I love Dario pizza. The cuisine is excellent, try the lobster tagliolini or the horse meat pieces. Octopus pignata or appetizers. Sweet, simple but very tasty. Compliments to the cook, because she is a woman in command of the brigade.
