Il Piccio - Pizzeria In Locorotondo

While vacationing in Alberobello for a few days, I chose and booked this small pizzeria ahead of time, both because of the excellent reviews and because other "popular" pizzerias in the center didn't accept reservations. And I didn't regret it at all. It's located just steps from the historic center of this charming town of Locorotondo and has very few tables. However, the immediate impact was pleasant, thanks to the warm welcome of the owner (a Milanese architect who moved south for a sense of adventure, the climate, and the landscape). His partner (or companion?), a tall, blonde, and elegant woman, took to the wood-fired oven with ease and skill (never seen anything like it!). The pizzas, in various flavors, were light and very flavorful, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. At the end, they even offered us small slices of sweet pizza and a liqueur. Their kindness was greatly appreciated. The prices are very reasonable (as per the attached receipt), especially considering the excellent quality. Highly recommended.

Delicious pizza dough, light and crunchy.. good quality cured meats and cheeses.. (the only flaw, so to speak, was that on the platter for 2 there was only one mozzarella)... small environment with just three tables and about 8/9 seats... kindness and relaxation.. there is also a final offer with limoncello and dolcetto.

A wonderful discovery! This unassuming restaurant is a little out of the way... Excellent pizzas, a wide selection, and very good wines. The owners are lovely and even offered us limoncello. We highly recommend it!

A very small but very nice pizzeria with fast and attentive service. Delicious pizzas (including unusual varieties) baked in a wood-fired oven. Plus, they offer complimentary Limoncello with Nutella pizza for dessert. And the prices are very fair. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to avoid the tourist traps. I'll definitely be back.

Excellent food, I finally had a real salad with all the flavors of vegetables, then the pizza was excellent! The added bonus, "Lella," thank you for your empathy and hospitality, plus the refined dessert to finish with that delicious little bottle of limoncello and the Nutella triangle....wow, that's a real treat!! A weekday evening that became special 💕
