An intimate place where you feel right at home. The staff is beyond friendly and welcoming, and the pizzas are excellent, with a surprise dessert to finish. Excellent value. Highly recommended. The limited seating available—only four tables—made us feel privileged. Thanks again to all the staff for a wonderful evening.

While vacationing in Alberobello for a few days, I chose and booked this small pizzeria ahead of time, both because of the excellent reviews and because other "popular" pizzerias in the center didn't accept reservations. And I didn't regret it at all. It's located just steps from the historic center of this charming town of Locorotondo and has very few tables. However, the immediate impact was pleasant, thanks to the warm welcome of the owner (a Milanese architect who moved south for a sense of adventure, the climate, and the landscape). His partner (or companion?), a tall, blonde, and elegant woman, took to the wood-fired oven with ease and skill (never seen anything like it!). The pizzas, in various flavors, were light and very flavorful, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. At the end, they even offered us small slices of sweet pizza and a liqueur. Their kindness was greatly appreciated. The prices are very reasonable (as per the attached receipt), especially considering the excellent quality. Highly recommended.

Delicious pizza dough, light and crunchy.. good quality cured meats and cheeses.. (the only flaw, so to speak, was that on the platter for 2 there was only one mozzarella)... small environment with just three tables and about 8/9 seats... kindness and relaxation.. there is also a final offer with limoncello and dolcetto.

A wonderful discovery! This unassuming restaurant is a little out of the way... Excellent pizzas, a wide selection, and very good wines. The owners are lovely and even offered us limoncello. We highly recommend it!

A very small but very nice pizzeria with fast and attentive service. Delicious pizzas (including unusual varieties) baked in a wood-fired oven. Plus, they offer complimentary Limoncello with Nutella pizza for dessert. And the prices are very fair. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to avoid the tourist traps. I'll definitely be back.

05/01/2026: There are restaurants where you eat well. And then there are places like Quarto Storto, where you eat and feel. We arrived there helpless, defenseless, and we left enriched. Rich in authentic flavors, sincere gestures, the kind of cuisine that doesn't need to amaze because it tastes like home. The signature dish is spaghetti all'assassina. Crispy, intense, direct. But it would be unfair to stop there, because every dish tells the same story: that of a family-run trattoria where time slows down and the heart accelerates. We were there with Elena and Pietro, sitting at an ordinary table that, for one evening, became the center of the world. Pietro tasting, Elena smiling, me believing that certain moments shouldn't be explained... they should be treasured. And then there's a detail that makes the difference, the one you don't find on the menus: it was their closing day, and yet they opened especially for us. Not out of duty. Out of kindness. For that rare form of hospitality that makes you feel awaited, not just served. From Quarto Storto, you don't just leave feeling full. You leave feeling moved. Because it reminds you that happiness is simple: a dish made just right, the right people by your side, and someone who decides to open the door... just for you. Thank you. Truly. ❤️
04/01/2026: A lovely restaurant, very comfortable and family-friendly. The owners, Dario and Amedeo, are very helpful and courteous. The food is good and authentic, typical of Puglia's cuisine. Highly recommended.

12/07/2026: Entering Forno Santa Caterina isn't just about buying bread or focaccia, it's about taking a journey back in time. As soon as I stepped inside, I was overwhelmed by an authentic atmosphere that immediately took me back to my childhood. I felt like I was back in the old wood-fired oven that my grandmother would light every Saturday night to make pizzas for the whole family. In an instant, I relived the same aromas of tomatoes, onions, and freshly baked dough that filled the air and made every weekend special. The emotion was even stronger when I saw the two elderly ladies sitting outside making orecchiette by hand. A scene from another era, capable of taking me back to when my grandmother would cook on Saturdays and Sundays for all of us grandchildren, and eleven of us would gather around the same table, sharing lunch and moments that today are precious memories. We purchased Altamura bread, focaccia, and orecchiette: all excellent quality products, authentic and rich in flavor, made with full respect for tradition. You can sense the passion and expertise passed down through generations. The prices are absolutely reasonable, considering it's one of the most well-known and popular historic bakeries among tourists, but the quality of the products and the experience are well worth the visit. If you're passing through Altamura, stop by. You'll not only take home excellent bread, but also a small piece of history and tradition you'll never forget.
