22/09/2024: Scrivo questa recensione anche se il ristorante Le Scalelle non ne avrebbe alcun bisogno. È stata una serata perfetta. In una spaziosa veranda abbiamo mangiato molto molto bene. Pesce fresco e soprattutto cucinato con esperienza. Uno dei pochi posti in cui è finalmente buono anche il vino della casa. Rapporto qualità/prezzo correttissimo. Fosse più vicino sarei uno dei più assidui abbonati.

I highly recommend the pistachio ones, which are truly irresistible, but I must say that they are all delicious and with attention to the smallest details. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always courteous and attentive. A perfect place to enjoy high quality typical desserts in the heart of Ostuni. Super recommended!

16/01/2025: Room in an old cellar in the historic center. Large rooms with barrel vaults. Attentive and fast service attentive to customer needs. Wide choice of pizzas with various doughs. Expectations were high given the premises, but I was a little disappointed by the pizza. I'm not sure what but it wasn't great. However I recommend it.

27/12/2024: Located in the historic center of Putignano, this place, where I go frequently, is a welcoming place with friendly and professional staff. The pizza is really good, with different types of dough. Service above the "classic pizzeria" (an example is how bottled beer is served). Average price of pizza €9-13, but they are all worth it. If you find yourself passing through Putignano, I recommend it.

22/12/2024: I chose Villa Menelao for my wedding and, if I could go back, I would choose it a thousand more times. Stunning location, attention to every detail with wonderful Christmas decorations. Excellent dining room staff, knowledgeable and attentive to all guests' dietary needs. Very high quality food. The staff who assisted us in the preparations were formidable, patient and, moreover, able to give us the best advice. I would like to say a few words for Director Martino: friendly and extremely professional, very present, never intrusive, you were very important on our wedding day, you looked after us and pampered us like we never would have thought.

28/01/2025: A great experience; a stone's throw from the Giovinazzo seafront you can stop in this winery/restaurant which offers various choices including 3 tasting menus, a complete menu and appetizers including fried foods and burgers. Elegant and welcoming environment, furnished in a contemporary style. Excellent food: well-processed raw materials and modern plating. Traditional recipes that keep the seasonal and typical ingredients of the area intact, but with creative combinations. Punctual and discreet service. The SoFish tasting menu (€50/person) included a hot and a cold starter, a first course, a second course with side dish and dessert. Drinks excluded. I have to thank them publicly because they met all my dietary needs without any problems, indeed with care and attention, even varying the accompanying ingredients of some courses without any problem and with a smile. Definitely catering professionals...an experience to be repeated and given recommend both for a romantic dinner and for a trip out of town in Giovinazzo! P.s. they also gave us a tasting of 2 desserts in addition😊...a very welcome treat.

22/01/2025: Two stars only for location and kindness of the staff in the dining room. For the food, clear reservations about what was ordered. The meatballs were good while for the linguine with cuttlefish bottarga the flavor was very sour on a flat brothy base (nothing like the photo on the menu) no seafood flavour. When asked for explanations, the answer was that the agretto was due to the flavor of the bottarga I doubt that's the right answer. Furthermore, the second course ordered (beef diaphragm) was inedible due to its hardness (generally this type of meat is tasty and tender). What can I say, an unsatisfactory evening in terms of taste!!

06/01/2025: Siamo capitati il giorno dell'Epifania in questo posto molto caratteristico la location molto piccola ma ben fatta, il cibo ottimo e sapientemente preparato, la gestione fatta da donne è proprio eccezionale, gentilezza, cortesia e competenza. Il prezzo ottimo in rapporto a quello che abbiamo gustato, ottima esperienza.

The food wasn't bad, the location pleasant, a small square that serves as an outdoor area. The thing I didn't appreciate was that out of 4 courses, 2 of which were identical, they managed to make me eat the main course alone. The others arrived after 28 minutes. Unfortunately they had apologized, but instead he also wanted to be right. I also work in catering, it is inconceivable that the dishes come out at a axial distance. The most annoying thing was seeing that a table of 2, perhaps regular customers of the restaurant, arrived later, but were served before our table.

Quality instead of quantity, forget about your “all you can eat” experiences once inside. Every bite is an explosion of flavors exclusively prepared by the owner and chef. Super recommended!!

11/09/2024: It's not possible to put more stars, damn.... We have been holidaying in Salento for 7 years and Mr. Jameson is a must... it wouldn't be a holiday otherwise! The place that started out with a very "Irish pub" style with wood everywhere (which I absolutely loved), after the pandemic underwent renovations that lightened and refreshed its appearance. The food, however, has remained the same... excellent, plentiful and refined. They offer typical dishes from Salento but with that extra note that makes them excel over every other restaurant. The service is impeccable, with an elegant simplicity that is the envy of the most beautiful tables.... well, if you haven't been there yet, what are you waiting for? MOVE!!!! Everyone at "Jameson"!!!
