Scinuà ... In Putignano

Something special. Unique. Simple and delicious. I absolutely detest modern Michelin style restaurants. I love small restaurants that serve local food. This for me was a perfect experience. Fresh and colourful with lots of vegetables.

When you walk to a place which doesn't announce much but you find a great treasure ! We were visiting during the "nap - quiet" noon hour, we stumble upon this place and were delighted by the food and service. The waitress was a great guide to suggest menus and they were delicious. It's funny to eat at a "recommended Michelin" days before and find the food was "mehhhh" and come to this place and think that IT should get the recommendation ! I liked the layout of the restaurant were you have small areas on the first level and you get lower to a bigger "cave" were they have more tables; like I mentioned: it's like a treasure hunt ! We were off tourist season since we were there in mid April so we walked right in and I don't know how it is during summer. They also have tables outside.

A must-visit for lovers of Italian cuisine. If you're in the area, don't miss this restaurant: everything is absolutely exquisite, from the authentic flavors of the dishes to the service. A truly wonderful discovery.

We chose to try Scinuà thanks to a voucher for a tasting menu, and the experience was truly enjoyable. The restaurant is located in one of the charming alleys of the ancient village of Putignano, a town known for its ancient carnival, the Carnevale di Putignano. The restaurant is small, yet intimate and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, and the staff is distinguished by their kindness, helpfulness, and professionalism: always smiling and ready to carefully explain each dish. The tasting menu includes five appetizers, a first course, a second course with side dishes, and dessert, accompanied by water and wine. All the courses represent Apulian tradition: well-executed dishes, in some cases tastefully reinterpreted, but always with a respect for local recipes. The use of genuine, high-quality ingredients, a fundamental element of Apulian cuisine, is clearly evident. It was a truly memorable experience: we will definitely return to try other specialties on the menu.

How could I forget the delicious lunch we enjoyed at this exquisite restaurant? A true gem of delicacies, served with the utmost kindness and attentiveness from everyone—essential details for an excellent lunch. This lunch break at Scinuà made our Carnival trip to Putignano a real success! Highly recommended! I'll be back soon.
