I probably wouldn't keep the appetizer chips out in plain sight on the counter where anyone could cough on them, though, since there are always people leaning against the counter talking. A good place to stop for refreshments before reaching the surrounding peaks or for a break on the way back.
31/08/2025: The refuge is easily accessible from Malesco.
An excellent location for sunbathing with a view of the entire Vigezzo Valley.
The polenta with cheese and the mixed polenta with meat are excellent.
The berry tart is delicious.

What an incredible spot! We had an amazing aperitivo here – delicious drinks, top-notch snacks, and a super chill atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the vibe was just perfect. Definitely one of the best places we've been to – highly recommended!

08/03/2026: Extremely salty food, slow service, and a rush to get you out as quickly as possible. Even though we reported that both the first and second courses were full—I mean, full of salt—the response was, "We'll report it to the kitchen." We weren't offered an apology, much less a gesture of courtesy. This is a place we won't return to. Oh, and we were charged double for a plate of pasta shared by two 2-year-olds.
05/03/2026: Welcoming, clean, and above all, the pinsas are delicious. Recommended.

05/01/2026: For lunch on January 1st. The service was courteous and prompt despite the swarm of skiers on the ground floor. We ate lunch upstairs in the quiet, warm wooden dining room. Well-prepared traditional dishes and a good selection of cheeses.

02/01/2026: Booked here for our last evening in Stresa. Friendly welcome from staff. Ordered a bottle of Gavi wine (€48!!) Ordered a starter each, mozzarella cheese, and a burrata.. Then a lasagne and a spaghetti dish, a dessert and coffee, finishing with a lemon cello All our food was delicious, freshly cooked and well presented. :) :)

05/03/2026: Five stars. Delicious homemade pasta and very friendly, attentive service. We were there during the off-season, so it was pleasantly quiet and the service was particularly attentive. A very nice wine list with a wide selection, so everyone can find something to suit their taste. The restaurant is also visually appealing; the design and atmosphere are especially inviting in the evening. The prices are absolutely reasonable, offering good value for money. Overall, a clear recommendation.
