19/04/2025: We came here spontaneously and tried our best to order in Italian. Normally, that's good enough to order the right thing, but the waiter didn't understand us at all and answered in broken English. So, the star deduction is for the service. The ambiance with the patio heater was very nice, and the drinks and cake were very good...

14/04/2025: Unfortunately, the service at Café Verbano has declined. The staff looks past the guests. Long waiting times if you don't defend yourself. With the aperitif there is always a pair of sandwiches, which is great. But last time we only got it when we had almost finished the wine. The nice boss should pay more attention to the employees.

25/05/2025: English: We were visiting the botanical garden and we were hungry, I found this little place on Google Maps with very positive ratings and we decided to try it, I think it was one of the best choices ever made. A fixed daily menu, with three options of first course to choose from and 3 options of a second course to choose from, we chose baked pasta and seafood risotto as first courses, as second courses baked chicken and potatoes and ribs with sausage with baked potatoes, I can say excellent quality and also perfect quantity. We also managed to get a dessert that we shared, a very very good blueberry cheesecake. The lady who runs it was very kind and helpful. Very pleasant and quiet atmosphere perfect for a relaxing day. When we return to visit Lake Maggiore we will definitely return to try some other dish of the day. I am truly very satisfied overall. Thank you for this magnificent lunch

30/10/2024: I spent a few hours in this place after a hike. From the terrace you can enjoy an enchanting view of the east face of the Rosa. The strudel was excellent (I allowed myself an encore). Cozy atmosphere, fast service even though it was crowded. Convenient for the cable car (it's practically attached).

29/09/2024: Beautiful staff! We were on our way to Bivacco Antigine, and host was really helpful, explaining the route and telling about surroundings in general. Food is good for mountain restaurant, too, and the view both from restaurant, or the outside terrace is breathtaking. Good location, just near the elevator, and close to the Madonna viewpoint, and excellent short via ferrata is in 20 min walk.

31/05/2025: No es fácil comer mal en Italia, pero es posible aquí. Los ingredientes carecían de calidad: las setas porcinas eran a la vez húmedas y acuosas, y la salsa de tomate de la otra pasta era sosa y poco inspirada. Solo se utilizaron hierbas secas. La comida parecía tan aburrida como sabía. Uno de los cuchillos estaba sucio, lo que era apropiado. El pan estaba tan seco que no se podía comer. Nos sentamos en sillas de plástico sucias en el jardín. Al menos el vino espumoso de la casa era aceptable. Cobrando 2 €. 50 por persona por un "cargo de cobertura" / coperto es absurdo. Prácticamente nada era satisfactorio; lo único aceptable era el vino de la casa, como he dicho, la razón del segundo punto. Pagué 14€ por el peor pomodoro de espaguetis de mi vida. Cualquier cocinero aficionado podría haberlo hecho mejor.

21/05/2025: Pizza tour with friends, perfect success. Excellent pizzas, the "classics" that everyone likes, well cooked and well seasoned. The pleasant service is basically "friendly". Nice environment, well kept. Large parking lot and easily accessible place.

21/05/2025: Mi sono recata a pranzo con un' amica, dopo la visita al bel museo del paesaggio che è a due passi. Abbiamo pranzato sui tavoli esterni: insalata d' orzo profumata, frittata alle cipolle con zucchine gustosa. Ottimi dolci: cheese cake al mango delicato e golosissima torta pere e cioccolato. Impiattamento accurato e servisio gentile. Consigliatissimo!

19/04/2025: There were three of us plus the dog, we were warmly welcomed, we were offered a small menu or card, great restaurant on the 1st floor, very familiar, price/performance more than fair and good, we are and were thrilled, would be happy to come back!

30/03/2025: Incinta di 9 mesi, prenoto per tempo un tavolo per il weekend a pranzo. Arrivo puntualissima alle 13 e la signora che mi accoglie mi dice che “ per un disguido” da dato il mio tavolo ad una coppia che non aveva prenotato e mi propone un tavolo fuori dalla sala da pranzo fronte bagno. Le dico che forse dovrebbe far sedere lì la coppia che non ha prenotato e che l’ha pure presa in giro ma nulla.. me ne devo andare. Pessima esperienza. A mai più.

07/06/2025: Partiamo dall’incapacità dei titolari nel rapportarsi con la clientela verso la quale si legge un totale disinteresse, arriviamo ai piatti … 19,50 euro per un piatto di paccheri allo scoglio contenente 9 paccheri contati! Andate a prender in giro le persone altrove!!! Di sicuro non torneremo più

Porzioni minuscole ma ben eseguite dall’antipasto al dolce . Superlativa la ricciola , golosissima la panna cotta 🍮.Ci ritorneremo appena possibile !

31/05/2025: Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe an dem zentralen Platz kein ruhiges Restaurant erwartet wo Mama in der Küche kocht. Dafür aber ein gutes anständiges essen an einem Platz an dem es Spaß macht zu sitzen . Vorspeisen sehr gut , Pizza auch sehr lecker. Sehr gute weinauswahl . Wir hatten nicht das Gefühl das Man uns schnell abfertigen will um den Tisch wieder frei zu bekommen . Saßen gut 2 Stunden dort an einem Samstag Abend. Also klare Empfehlung

24/07/2024: We loved this hotel. Paola, its owner, is infinitely kind, the building is very beautiful, its location is perfect for discovering Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. The view as well as the direct access to the lake are unique. A paradise. We will come back.
