11/11/2025: Friends bring us—the first time. The second, third, fourth...and so on...we return for the pleasure it all inspires. Thanks to the large number of patrons, the food is always fresh, the service is top-notch, and the prices are competitive. Highly recommended. If you visit at lunchtime, a stroll along the nearby riverbank helps with digestion.

03/10/2025: We had breakfast here every day during our 10-day stay. Delicious croissants, good coffee, and good value for money. And there are some great pastries; the owner is happy to let you try them!

19/10/2025: Each and every coffee shop built us faith in Italian coffee. We can across this town and shop accidentally, and we chose to come back again for this coffee! ( As well as pizzeria nearby)

02/11/2025: Welcoming and clean. The wellness area is small but functional. Breakfast offers good products. The menu is uninspired and uninspiring. Fortunately, there are several restaurants serving traditional dishes nearby. On a negative note, the service doesn't live up to the hotel's expectations.

29/10/2025: The location, staff, and food were all excellent. If I were to return to Macugnaga, I would definitely book this property again.

11/10/2025: We found the focaccia rather dry. There were hardly any toppings, barely any cheese. There were signs saying "Original Italian Coffee" and it looked like a portafilter machine. They use capsules. It was all fake. We also found the lady at the counter rather unfriendly. She had a bored expression and was chewing gum in an annoyed manner.

11/10/2025: The coffee wasn't an original Italian sieve-type machine, but capsules. The focaccia was very lightly topped with salami and cheese. Prices are okay. The service was irritated and unfriendly.

08/09/2025: Beautiful restaurant nestled in the great Val Grande, it's a shame it no longer has rooms (but the food is good)

23/08/2025: If you want to enjoy authentic Piedmontese cuisine at reasonable prices, this is the place to go. The daily menu features a few dishes, all of which are homemade. We haven't found a better restaurant in our seven days at the lake. The trip up into the mountains is definitely worth it.

18/11/2025: The food was catastrophic. We had carpaccio and tartar, which was made from dried, salted meat. That has absolutely nothing to do with Italian cuisine.

14/11/2025: Very inviting in cold weather, thanks to the decorative lighting on the patio heaters and blankets. Our drinks, wine and beer, were delicious, and the small mixed salad was good value for the price. The tiramisu was tasty, although the cream instead of mascarpone is a matter of taste. However, the pizza was a complete no-go. The toppings were good and exactly as requested, but as other reviews have mentioned, we unfortunately found that we were served a pre-made frozen pizza. We are often in Italy and frequently eat Italian food, but we have never experienced anything like this before. Very disappointing.

30/10/2025: Outing with friends, we stopped for lunch in this wonderful place surrounded by nature, and run by fantastic people, home-grown food!!

27/08/2025: We had a truly wonderful time and want to thank Carla and Gigi from the bottom of our hearts for their warm welcome and friendliness. The cuisine is excellent, with authentic flavors and genuine products that reflect the local area. The strawberry grape jam for breakfast has become our daily ritual: a true delight we couldn't live without. The atmosphere is clean, well-kept, and welcoming, perfect for feeling at home from the moment you arrive.

28/09/2025: We had a fabulous time!🤩👌. I want to thank all the staff of Lido for making our day memorable🫶🥰👍. This is the kind of place were the owners treats you like an old friend, you could tell they really care about their guests and love what they do 😍💓(we even snapped a few pics 📸😉). The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The Chef came out to our table and made excellent recommendations! 👨‍🍳👌That made our Lunch extra special. We enjoyed our delicious freshly made food and the presentation was superb.🍽🍷🎉 Great atmosphere and the stunning views of Lake Maggiore is amazing. 🎷🎼🎷🏞🛶🏝 I highly recommend this place is a true gem 🎖🎊💯💎💎💎
