28/05/2026: For a business lunch, it's an excellent option. The prices are fair, considering that everything is freshly prepared, even the desserts are all homemade. It's best to book since there are only a few seats, but it all comes down to quality.

02/05/2026: A quaint mountain hut on the summit of Mottarone. Friendly, cheerful staff. I recommend the tasting menu for €25 per person, which includes polenta, stew, donkey bites, braised beef, tripe, chicken cacciatore, sausages, and a variety of cheeses, along with water and wine. The food is very good, the portions are generous, and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

13/04/2026: The price-performance ratio is unacceptable here. It starts with the cover charge of €4 (!) for half a glass of sparkling wine and a bread roll. We ordered two T-bone steaks, both of which were served almost raw without any prior consultation. We sent them both back and received them again cooked medium. At 10 p.m., they simply turned on the heating and opened the door. Several things don't justify these very high prices. We certainly won't be coming back.

12/04/2026: The hotel is in a beautiful location, even with a small wooded area you can walk into. However, the railings on the bunk beds are poorly secured, as are the ladders, making it easy to injure yourself. In one room, the shower door doesn't close properly. Most of the electrical outlets are behind the beds. The staff is very friendly, speaks good English, and it's easy to communicate. Unfortunately, there was no butter or cheese for breakfast, and the bread was a bit dry.

09/03/2026: Highly recommended: excellent cuisine and a warm, family atmosphere. We visited this restaurant today for lunch with friends, and the experience was a great one from start to finish. The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and you can taste the care taken in every course: from appetizers to desserts, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and the value for money is more than satisfactory, which will definitely make us want to return! Well done! Keep up the good work.

01/06/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A flawless culinary experience at Mirafiori & La Terrazza! ​We had dinner at this splendid restaurant and were absolutely thrilled with the tasting menu. Each course was meticulously crafted, with a perfect balance of tradition and freshness. ​Here are the highlights of our evening: ​The appetizer: A fantastic trio that won everyone over. The grilled prawns were incredibly fresh, the battered vegetables were hot and perfectly crunchy, and the mini Chianina burger was a true gem of flavor and quality. ​The first course: The real star of the evening. A simply extraordinary lime, mint, and shrimp tartare risotto. An explosion of freshness, creaminess, and perfectly executed contrasts. ​The second course: The two-course menu was excellent, catering to all tastes. Both the tagliata with potatoes (tender and perfectly cooked) and the grilled sea bass with vegetables (light and flavorful) far exceeded expectations. ​Dessert: We finished on a sweet note with the delicious Torta di Camilla, a perfect final treat. ​The selection of included drinks is also noteworthy, from still wines (white and red) to the excellent Collalto Prosecco, perfect for toasting, to the obligatory coffee at the end. ​Attentive service, a charming atmosphere, and top-notch cuisine. 19/04/2026: A real find for Premeno! A small café with lovely outdoor seating and an attached mini-market. It has just about everything a tourist might need for the day. The cheese counter is particularly noteworthy. After a day of sightseeing, it's the perfect place to unwind with a freshly tapped beer. The service is very friendly and attentive. I was surprised to see the crest of my home brewery, "Distelhäuser Bier," displayed at the entrance. After all, our region is almost 900 kilometers away. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area.

03/06/2026: From Domodossola to Rome and back. A friendly tavern with a slightly nerdy feel. The sign is Bloch's famous painting of a mid-19th-century Roman tavern, with the two Ciociaria women—the married one with the big scarf and the spinster flirting with you—the husband with the scarf looking pissed off, and the cat staring at you even more viciously. The prices of the inviting and varied pinsas are in Roman numerals, and it's fair to ask if they're euros or sesterces. The last page of the menu shows the route to the restroom, and I have to say that the "treasure map" confused me a bit, as I was expecting who knows what winding paths to take when the designated place is right next to the pinsettaro counter. Otherwise, the food is good, the drinks are cold, and the service is friendly.

02/05/2026: Excellent experience, dinner for four this evening at Al Sciucc di Stropino. 3 first courses, 3 second courses, 3 desserts, 1/2 liter of wine, two bottles of water, and 2 coffees, about €90: excellent value, excellent quality food. It's hard to find better at this price, especially since you can tell the dishes are prepared with great care and attention. The first courses, like gnocchi or ravioli, for example, are so delicious that I think they're handmade. I also appreciate that the menu is limited to a few dishes, not as extensive as in some restaurants: this allows them to focus on quality and offer dishes made to perfection, and this is evident in everything they serve. Even the desserts (tiramisu and apple pie) are homemade, not mass-produced, and at a price (€4.50) that's rare to find in restaurants these days (desserts typically start at €6 and up). I'll be back soon, a top choice if you want to eat properly without spending a lot!
