15/08/2025: Historic pub in the center of Mergozzo, a very welcoming, traditional atmosphere, excellent food and beer, and super friendly and helpful owners. Congratulations and thank you for your hospitality.

23/08/2025: We arrived, sat down, and were ignored by the waitress. Even when we tried to order something to eat in the hut, there was no response.

28/09/2025: We had a fabulous time!🤩👌. I want to thank all the staff of Lido for making our day memorable🫶🥰👍. This is the kind of place were the owners treats you like an old friend, you could tell they really care about their guests and love what they do 😍💓(we even snapped a few pics 📸😉). The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The Chef came out to our table and made excellent recommendations! 👨‍🍳👌That made our Lunch extra special. We enjoyed our delicious freshly made food and the presentation was superb.🍽🍷🎉 Great atmosphere and the stunning views of Lake Maggiore is amazing. 🎷🎼🎷🏞🛶🏝 I highly recommend this place is a true gem 🎖🎊💯💎💎💎

30/09/2025: The lunch menu is fantastic, very plentiful and delicious. The value for money is unbeatable. For two people: menu, wine, and water for €24.

08/09/2025: We tried to have an aperitivo here on the Sunday of the fireworks and were rudely told it was too early for an aperitivo. We sat down anyway, only ordering drinks (they didn't even bring us two chips), and the waiter was really rude when taking our order. We won't be returning; it's a shame about the view, because it's beautiful and worth it.

07/09/2025: Fixed stop in the morning for breakfast. I haven't tried the restaurant yet. Always only as a bar and is excellent for service and location

30/09/2025: We sat outside on the terrace and were served by three friendly Asian ladies. The food was consistently good, and the price of the lunch buffet at €15 was unbeatable. We can highly recommend this restaurant!

19/09/2025: A somewhat dated hotel with very good service. Everything was nice and clean. Our room (54) had a spectacular view of the Borromean Islands. Sunrise.

05/09/2025: We stayed at this truly beautiful hotel for five nights in August. The room was right on the lake, and the view was priceless! The hotel is family-run, and it shows! If you're looking for a quiet hotel with lots of love, a romantic balcony overlooking Lake Maggiore and the two islands of Isola Bella and Isola Madre, you absolutely have to book a room here!

12/10/2025: Lovely fish restaurant with great service and a taxi service from Neilson in Baie dei Mori.

07/10/2025: One of the best places in the area where you can find everything. Excellent meat and fish cuisine, top-notch pizzeria (the jewel in the crown) with a wide selection of flavors, and highly qualified and helpful staff. I highly recommend it.

18/03/2025: Questo ristorante si trova nel centro storico alto di Baveno……verrete accolti dalla cordialità dei proprietari e della gentilissima cameriera . Porzioni minuscole ma ben eseguite dall’antipasto al dolce . Superlativa la ricciola , golosissima la panna cotta 🍮.Ci ritorneremo appena possibile !

29/09/2025: We had a great time; we had the mushroom risotto and the pulverun fillet, prepared at the table in a pan with spiced butter. The wine was very good, with a selection of local wines. The staff was kind and helpful. Well done.

09/09/2025: Unfortunately, the tip was very disappointing. We only got dry bread, no oil, and no pepper or salt. The grilled vegetables were completely unseasoned, and the fries had no sauce. My fish also came without sauce, even though the menu said otherwise. The staff were rather bored and not particularly friendly. I can't recommend this restaurant, and we came here specifically for this. Sorry!

07/09/2025: Excellent risotto and quite pleasant atmosphere.

28/09/2025: A surprising and magnificent place! We discovered this pizzeria by chance thanks to our hotel, and what a wonderful surprise. Two pitchers of wine (50 cl), a pizza, a fresh and perfect mixed salad, as well as a delicious homemade crème caramel for only €33.50. The wood-fired pizza was excellent, the salad exactly what you would expect from a good mixed salad, and the dessert was a real treat. Very friendly welcome, unbeatable value for money. I give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ without hesitation.

23/09/2025: Disappointing experience - where do we even begin! Asked for still water, got a bottle of fizzy water of the brand “Bolle Stille” (€4). We thought it wasn’t a big deal if the food was ok. Ordered a red prawn carpaccio (€24) as starter, and 2 pastas. Carpaccio was flavourless but smells very fishy (and we’re no stranger to seafood / sashimi / sushi). The 2 pastas (smoked trout €22, vongole €25) were so salty you’d need a kidney dialysis if you finish the whole thing. We kept having bread to clean our palate. Pastas were not freshly made. Price is astonishingly disproportionate to the poor quality of food. Finally, I might overlook the fact that the antipasti was served at the same time as the 2 pastas if they didn’t charge €4 each for service.

20/09/2025: A huge leap in quality! I've been a regular here before, but with the arrival of chef Federico Bigatti, the cuisine has improved even further. The dishes are truly delicious... and the plating is too... (see photo) The owner, Debora, has truly created a beautiful space, small but clean and elegant.

11/08/2025: A pleasant surprise found thanks to Google, where my dad and I stopped for a sandwich and beer! Besides the classic "mountain" sandwiches (about €8), they also have more sophisticated options (I had the multigrain one with salmon, ricotta, sun-dried tomatoes, and salsa verde—delicious). The coffee was piping hot, just the way I like it. The girl and owners were incredibly kind. I'll be back with my colleagues!
