We ate for two. The food and service were excellent, and the staff were super friendly. Just be careful, the prices don't match those found on Google or other sites, which aren't updated but are 4-5 years old or more. The prices are roughly in line with other restaurants. While we didn't agree with those prices, we ate well. The location is excellent, allowing you to continue your stroll through the center or head to the lakeside.

We had the most incredible meal at Torino Cafe in Stresa. After several days of recommendations for other places, we took a chance on this little plaza restaurant and were not disappointed - the best food we had all week! We had the fried zucchini flowers with ricotta - delicious. I tried a grilled octopus that was absolutely perfect. We also had a friend try the duck as well as fish. Everything was incredible. Presentation was beautiful! We had delicious tiramisu to end a perfect evening. Service was friendly and efficient, we truly felt at home sitting on the piazza enjoying a memorable meal. Thanks for a wonderful last night in Stresa!

We went for a meal once and received a very warm welcome. The staff was very professional, the food was excellent, and the ingredients were well-prepared. For my son's birthday, we had dinner at this lovely restaurant in the center of Stresa. We ate truly deliciously: the spaghetti with octopus was flavorful, fragrant, and beautiful to look at; the veal with tuna sauce, asparagus, and savory zabaglione was a feast for the eyes and the palate. The place is very charming, the service attentive but not intrusive, and the owner was present and extremely kind. We had a truly wonderful time, and I thank Raffaele for his hospitality.

Stresa has been a long-time love of ours — we’ve been coming here for more than 10 years. On one hand, it’s a little sad to see some of the old family-run authentic restaurants disappear; on the other hand, it’s wonderful that new, modern places with truly excellent cuisine are opening. We stopped by here out of nostalgia — and not only were we not disappointed, we were genuinely impressed. We don’t eat much these days, and we also had dinner planned later at our favorite restaurant in Stresa (which I already wrote about, but will definitely write about again!), so we decided to share just one dish. And what a dish it was: saffron risotto with ossobuco — absolutely incredible! Proper risotto, perfectly cooked meat. Bravo to the chef! Special praise also goes to the service — both the management and the staff were simply excellent. As was the Italian wine 😉 Thank you, wishing you success and prosperity — and definitely expect us back again! P.s. The only issue: prosecco should not be served in red wine glasses 😂 At first I thought it was some kind of quirky signature touch, but then I noticed that other guests were actually getting different glasses. I’m not lowering my rating because I love Stresa and I love this place 🙂 But please don’t do that — reputation and the overall impression really do matter.

Upscale dining place ($$$) with delicious food! Don’t miss it if you like fine Piedmontese cuisine. Attentive staff and first-class cuisine.
