13/03/2025: I have lived in Santa Maria Maggiore since I was born, and a few days ago I went to the Le Colonne restaurant for the first time. How I regretted not coming sooner. The environment is classic and formal, but at the same time you can feel at ease. The waiters who followed my lunch and took my orders were disarmingly professional. Not to mention the dishes. We start with a selection of breads (3 types) and homemade breadsticks, accompanied by excellent olive oil. On this occasion I was offered, as well as all the guests, a complimentary entreé. Delightful. I ordered barbed artichokes stuffed with a prawn filling, on a warm cheese fondue. Divinely presented dish which, although very delicate, exploded a marvel of tastes. Not to forget the coffee accompanied by their chatter, perhaps the lightest I've had in my life. Optimal. I will definitely come back. Compliments to the chef and the restaurant.

30/03/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in coppia in questo ristorante che si trova in centro, con parco di fronte. Il personale ci ha accolto bene, il menu è completo. Servizio veloce, preciso e cordiale. Antipasto: tartare e uovo. Secondi: pancia di maialino e branzino. Da bere vino bianco sfuso. Tutto ottimo, con presentazione curata e sapori ben definiti. Prezzo al di sotto delle aspettative. Complimenti

28/12/2024: Dopo tanto aver sentito elogiare la loro pizza finalmente sono andata ad assaggiarlo! Devo dire veramente buona, pizza ben cotta ben condita e soprattutto digeribilissima !! Complimenti anche per l ottima birra !!

23/02/2025: Sunday at the end of February. We went to this little bar (with a food shop) because it was the only one open and, despite the slightly negative reviews about the service, I have to say that we had a positive experience. 😌 We had a portion for two of pizzoccheri (👈 vegetarian) and a coke. The service may not have been very fast, but the waiter was friendly. I would say the prices are in line with those of a tourist location - even if in the low season. We're not exactly sure how much we spent on the cover charge (I think €1), but at the counter it was clearly written that there was a surcharge of €2 for outside service 🫷

13/11/2024: Like being at home. Genuine cuisine and cult cutting boards. Tables and service by the lake. Wide selection of wines also available to take away. Try Spritz Luca. The panzerotti are delicious, as are the pizzoccheri. Complete aperitif with gourmet dishes. Must try. 🍾🥂🍷😋

10/03/2025: Ce restaurant discret est une vraie pépite ! Il est tres beau avec une ambiance chaleureuse, le service attentionné et les plats sont délicieux, faits avec des produits frais et beaucoup de savoir-faire. Nous avons pris que des primi plattis - un régal ! Les assiettes étaient copieuses et délicieuses . Un amuse bouche est offert.

14/01/2025: Seafood dishes in a mountain area, in these parts I expect a typical restaurant with traditional Ossola or mountain dishes, I was surprised to find many fish and seafood dishes, they were certainly good, but I preferred a traditional menu, I took the tagliolini with good mushrooms but with too much parsley and cherry tomatoes which covered the flavor of the mushrooms, good cut but not of excellent quality, prices a little high.

09/04/2025: Normal food, nothing special but the staff were really super nice. We arrived quite close to closing time but they still served us and stayed open a few minutes longer. It was the only place open late in the area. Normal price.

20/03/2025: On March 19th It was a wonderful sunny day on the lakeside terrace belonging to the bar. A young, friendly team serves courteously, friendly and quickly. It doesn't really need to be mentioned that the cappuccino can only taste good.

08/01/2025: Siamo tornati dopo diversi anni. Ne avevamo un ottimo ricordo e ne siamo usciti completamente soddisfatti. Piatti ottimi, cucinati con cura e attenzione , e tante piccole coccole: limonata , pre-dessert, frutta…. Insomma. Siamo entrati sicuri di trovarci bene e siamo usciti pienamente soddisfatti! Grazie!
