Ristorante Milano In Verbania

We had a wonderful view of the small harbor and Isola Madre. The meal was excellent; the cuisine is extremely creative without being over-the-top. We ate soft potato gnocchi with a cheese sauce made with Aosta Valley cheese and black truffles. The trio from the lake, trout tartare with mountain blueberry sauce, corregone with lemony grated fruit puree and eel with sashimi and chutney was a real treat. The squab in a great sauce was excellent, as was the turbot with kale and truffle sauce. The sage sorbet and the meringue with rosemary extract - delicious, to put in. The same applies to the sorbet with meringue, a mousse made from American strawberries from a 100-year-old plant. An exceptional meal in a very pleasant atmosphere. The price is not cheap, but reasonable.

We have loved the meals, lakeside setting and been coming back to this historic family run restaurant for nearly 20 years. It seems like each year they produce food so divine , one cannot wait to return. We experienced five one Star Michelin Italian restaurants on this trip and considering the setting, wine selection, quality and detail of the food preparation at the Milano, we found the pricing very fair and worth every euro. Chef Agostino and his charming wife maintain everything in the restaurant to extend to you a 1st Class experience. We can hardly wait for our return in May 2024.

Ha qualcosa di sensuale la cucina di questo raffinato ristorante. La posizione è incantevole, come del resto lo è il delizioso servizio al tavolo. Non meno sensuali sono le ricette in lista, alcune delle quali coniugano porzioni a volte perfino generose con il sapiente uso di erbe aromatiche non sempre scontate. Ottima la caponata di melanzane, pere e mandorle in agrodolce, che vede per l'appunto al suo interno piccole e misteriose foglioline e petali di fiori che le restituiscono un sapore inedito a ogni boccone; molto buoni i ravioli di zucca con scorze di limone caramellate; favoloso il "tonnato" tiepido con cialde di cucunci che si scioglie letteralmente in bocca. Il sorbetto di salvia alla fine del pranzo chiude il cerchio. Cantina di tutto rispetto.

Very nice place and then the food is awesome. Starting with super delicious appetizers and then, course by course, a poem about what the chef is preparing. The very friendly service, supported by the boss, does a great job.
