27/02/2026: Crazy prices, rudeness from the young girl, and especially from the older one! They didn't say hello either at the entrance or at the exit! Four croissants left out at 9:00 in the morning... I don't recommend them at all... go elsewhere, Pallanza is full of bars/pastries with polite and respectful staff. P.S.: I'm editing my review based on your response... I'll add that I was the only one in the bar and one other person at the counter. So the rudeness regarding greetings is definitely a part of the staff, since they heard me say hello both at the entrance and at the exit without receiving any "goodbye and thank you."

27/01/2026: Good even if the wait times to order are always long... It almost feels like being left there like an ornament. Update, it may be a coincidence but even the breakfast went badly, the cream brioche I had was filled with just a teaspoon of cream, I asked the barista if it could be refilled, she kindly apologized and fixed it, but the cream was full of lumps, with a floury consistency and almost no sugar.

05/03/2026: Unfortunately, yesterday's experience was negative for us. In addition to the unfriendly staff, in my opinion, we waited 45 minutes for pizza when the place was practically empty.

02/12/2025: Pizzeria restaurant. Nothing special, I tried a pizza with gorgonzola and onions. The gorgonzola flavor, usually very strong, was barely noticeable. The draft beer was tasteless. Tempted by the dessert display, I chose a Sicilian cannoli, but it was slightly stale, the crust had lost its crispiness. I probably chose the wrong night.

20/08/2025: Great food, excellent service, and a comprehensive wine selection. Simply the best in the area, if that's your thing.

10/01/2026: Quality, courtesy, and friendliness! Found by chance years ago, little publicized, Kapuziner offers quality food, both on the regular menu and in various off-menu options, especially the meats, which are delicious and perfectly cooked. Excellent cocktails and beers. The friendly and welcoming manager offers interesting advice and always makes us feel at home, even though we only see each other every few months. Highly recommended!

27/10/2025: An Italian family business that could have come straight out of a commercial. Unobtrusive, human. We felt at home right away and—after trying several top-rated restaurants—went back to this one. It was simply the best (for us). The food was fantastic, the house wine delicious, and I'd come back more often for the espresso (€1.50 at your table). Speaking of prices: pizzas around €10 (large!), 1/4 liter of house wine €5 (or 3? It doesn't matter, it's good value). The only problem is that every other pizza I've had for a while has spoiled it. I've never had such a wafer-thin yet firm base, and the crust was airy and crispy.

08/03/2026: My wife and I had lunch for Women's Day at the Eataly Restaurant in Monticello d'Alba. It's not the first time we've had the pleasure of using their services. The dishes were very well prepared, the portions generous, and the staff very friendly. An experience we'll repeat as soon as possible!

17/02/2026: Excellent quality from the starters to the meat or fish main courses, even the delicious hamburger with light and easily digestible bread, exquisite meat and perfect seasoning.

08/03/2026: I booked ahead because I knew I'd be there that day, and the lady was kind enough. Then, the same day, due to my delay on my return journey, I called the restaurant again to ask if I could wait an hour longer than I had booked. They also promptly said no problem. Kudos to you for your patience. We sat down, ordered, and what can I say? The dishes were plentiful and the prices were excellent. The polenta was exceptional, so much so that I complimented the owner. "The polenta tasted like polenta." You could tell it was made over a wood fire! The desserts were also very good. I'll definitely be back.

14/02/2026: The atmosphere and staff in the dining room were welcoming, but we had some dissatisfaction with the food: the soup of the day, the cheese board with bread, and the veal stew were all very good, but the polenta was lousy and the buckwheat cake with blueberry jam was awful. What was unacceptable was that when I asked how it went, I complained about the cake, and the owner explained that it was for celiacs and lactose intolerants! Aside from the fact that it wasn't written on the menu, but you can't think of making a cake for lactose intolerant people and celiacs by simply not using wheat, milk, and butter. I don't think the lady didn't know that there are lactose-free butter and milk for lactose intolerance, and gluten-free products for celiacs. So I felt like she was being mocked, especially because, to cut it short, she said, "Everyone eats it." If the lady can't accept criticism from a customer, it's better if she doesn't ask the customer how it went.

27/11/2025: It's not a gourmet pizzeria, they don't make gourmet pizza, that's exactly why I give it 5 stars. I finally found a place that makes a regular pizza, like the ones I ate as a kid in old-school pizzerias. The crust is soft but doesn't take up half the pizza. The 4-cheese version has tons of cheese, especially Gorgonzola. I had onion added, and they probably had half a whole onion. Sure, €9 for the 4-cheese version and €10 for the one with onion isn't cheap for a takeout pizza in Montà, but it's still worth it a thousand times over compared to the gourmet junk with 20 grams of cheese and a crust that takes up half the pizza. I'll be back and I can't wait. The owner is also very kind.

16/10/2025: Sensational pizza at a reasonable price. Perfect for a hotel room, especially in Montaña, where everything is unfortunately closed on Sunday evenings. It's a shame it's so far away; I'd love to be there weekly... 😋

01/03/2026: An exceptional experience; the beef tagliata was incredibly tender (perfectly cooked, exactly as requested). You can immediately sense the attention paid to the meat selection and preparation. The atmosphere is also pleasant and relaxed. The highlight, however, is the service: fast, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The entire staff is available to offer recommendations and ensure everything is to your liking. In short, you feel like you're being looked after with care, which unfortunately isn't always a given. I'll definitely be back!

14/11/2025: Very disappointing. We went based on the variety of dishes offered on the restaurant's website, but the daily menu was limited to: Neapolitan pizza, pinsa, and a trio of appetizers (tomino cheese with honey and walnuts, veal with tuna sauce, tartare), tagliolini with mushrooms, and ravioli. I sincerely hope this was a one-off and that the menu isn't always this poor. I definitely won't be returning. I'd at least like to thank the waitress, who was kind and attentive to our table.
