11/05/2025: We discovered this place thanks to a Smartbox given to us by colleagues at work. It was a really pleasant surprise, from the service to the environment, to the food. We tried the four-course tasting with wine pairing. What can I say, everything was very good and balanced, in particular the gazpacho left us speechless and the sea bass, cooked in a superlative way. Very very good indeed! Highly recommended place.

06/04/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante tramite smartbox, è stata un’esperienza più che soddisfacente. I piatti sono esteticamente molto belli e il cibo è davvero squisito. Noi abbiamo optato per 2 menu degustazione di 7 portate più un calice di vino bianco e digestivo. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la location in quanto curata ed elegante e che lo chef si sia preoccupato di possibili allergie/intolleranze. Inoltre il fatto che fossimo gli unici presenti all’interno del locale ha reso il tutto estremamente romantico.

29/06/2025: Great experience, restaurant found by chance. The road is a bit narrow, you get there by driving by inch but in the end it is all worth it for an excellent lunch of quality and taste. Definitely worth going back to.

07/07/2025: Very intimate and romantic place with a few tables. The ingredients are very fresh including spices and the proposals are delicious. I recommend the appetizer (I took 2): the fried food, the seafood salad and the sweet and sour are excellent. The ravioli and taglioni flavored with marjoram are also very delicate. The stuffed sardines are a gem. The extra virgin olive oil used is full-bodied and tasty with quaratina-style bitter notes. The homemade bread is also very good. The staff was courteous and attentive to our requests. It was the best dinner between Sestri and Lavagna in the 7 days of vacation. A thousand thanks

14/06/2025: A lovely time spent in this restaurant. Local cuisine is perfectly executed with fresh produce and by passionate staff. The dishes are succulent, and for dessert, I recommend the homemade panna cotta, which is out of the ordinary. Bravo.

09/05/2025: When we arrived at the hotel early, Miss Marica welcomed us and allowed us to park at the hotel and even check in early. Comfortable and clean rooms. In the evening I had dinner at the hotel restaurant based on fish... excellent. Professional and kind staff. Strategic point practically on the most beautiful beaches of Salento. We will definitely return.

We didn't understand why there were half portions on the menu... 12 euros for a portion of tagliolini allo scoglio, divided into 2 large plates for my wife and 3 for me... and I couldn't finish them all. Excellent quality of fish, nothing to envy to more renowned ultra expensive restaurants... you need a navigator to get there but you won't regret it. Unfortunately I didn't take the second course because I was full, but we took 3 exceptional tiramisu'. 40 euros for an excellent pizza margherita for the child, a first course that we shared, 2 waters and 3 tiramisu'

12/07/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante per il matrimonio di mio fratello e non posso che ritenermi soddisfatta! Buono il buffet di antipasto, specialmente la parte della griglia con ottimi spiedini di pesce e arrosticini. Molto delicato il risotto. Pezzo forte a mio avviso la carne: tenerissima e saporita! Porzioni giuste. All’inizio il buffet mi era sembrato un po’ limitato, avevo paura non ce ne fosse per tutti, invece era tutto stato studiato nel dettaglio, per soddisfare tutti senza sprechi eccessivi. Personale gentile e, soprattutto la persona che ha seguito gli sposi, molto disponibile e affabile. Avevamo mangiato un paio di volte prima del matrimonio ma mi è sembrato che per la cerimonia fosse ancora meglio, il che non capita quasi mai…

11/07/2025: Il giorno del nostro matrimonio (10 Luglio 2025) è stato indimenticabile, e molto lo dobbiamo a due persone straordinarie: Stefano e Duilio, i proprietari del ristorante. Fin dal primo incontro ci hanno messo completamente a nostro agio. Abbiamo affidato a loro l’organizzazione del nostro grande giorno a occhi chiusi… e ci hanno ripagato con una magia che difficilmente dimenticheremo. Stefano, in cucina, è un vero artista: ogni piatto era un capolavoro, curato e ricco di sapori che hanno conquistato tutti gli ospiti. Duilio, con la sua maestria nell’organizzazione e nella gestione dello staff, ha reso ogni momento fluido e perfetto, permettendoci di vivere la giornata con serenità e gioia. Il ristorante ha superato ogni aspettativa: atmosfera incantevole, servizio impeccabile, e quel tocco umano che fa la differenza. Consigliamo Il Faro con tutto il cuore a chi sogna un matrimonio autentico, elegante e senza stress. Grazie Stefano e Duilio per aver reso tutto così speciale. 💖

14/06/2025: Nice and simple place, the only flaw is that I didn't like the fritto misto. There is a bit to improve but nevertheless the experience was not bad! As soon as I return to Reggio Calabria I will stop by with my family.

09/07/2025: Wow. Run, don’t walk, to try the Caponata Siciliana! The husband and wife (owners) were very attentive and helpful with our various allergies and dietary restrictions. I’m celiac and have a dairy allergy, and the other guest is vegan. Everything was wonderful. They are also open at a time when most places are closed. (Pro-tip: they have an indoor area with AC!)

06/07/2025: Good restaurant. The food is good quality but I didn't like the pasta because I thought it was overcooked. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly. A good place to eat near the Duomo

09/07/2025: We got it all, wine, food, good conversation... When you come to a Trattoria, that's what you get, you become a good friend and if you become a regular, get ready to become family. Italia is all about food and family and over Montina you have the wife serving, the husband cooking and their daughter learning with her grandma. Now let's talk about the food. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce perfectly made. The fries were crunchy and dry, not soggy and full of oil. The cotolleta was crunchy and not a hint of oil in it, amazing. As a Brazilian I would throw some lemon juice on it because this is how we like it, but I can get used to the Milan way paired with a good red wine. The food is well served and if you eat small portions, I'd suggest sharing a dish. My kids devoured their pasta but I ate 3/4 of my cotolleta. Wow wow wow. Thank you for the great food and time with you guys.

30/06/2025: Amazing experience, better than other starred restaurants. The tasting menu, we took the seasonal one, was perfectly paired with quality wines, especially the dessert one. The artistic presentation of the dishes is wonderfully linked to their complex and unique tastes even if the menu does not neglect the simplicity and quality of the tastes of Genoa. The staff is young but prepared and has great attention to detail, despite the elegant atmosphere they managed to make us feel at ease and also teach us something. The breathtaking location is perfect for those who love palaces and frescoes. Don't give up on coffee at the end of the meal! It is different from the classic espresso, but above all it is accompanied by a "box" of small pastries of excellent quality. I'll just add a few photos (and not all) so as not to spoil the surprise, you have to try it!
