20/05/2026: My wife had gluten free Culurgiones, stuffed with cheese in a tomato sauce. Also came with gluten free sardinia bread. I can confirm she was very happy. I had a traditional lasagne, also very nice. Menu also had gluten free pizzas, and vegan alternatives. Very attentive staff, enjoyed our visit.

10/05/2026: We had a lovely meal at this restaurant in Lucca. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, with every dish feeling fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It was also very child friendly, which made the experience even better for us. They were happy to prepare something simple for my nephews that suited them perfectly, which we really appreciated. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. A great spot if you’re looking for great food!

02/05/2026: Top-class restaurant in the center of Lucca. Despite the hustle and bustle of the city, you find yourself in an oasis of calm here. The terrace feels like a cozy living room with greenery and warm lighting. The service is exceptional – truly waited on hand and foot. The dishes are amazing, with surprising combinations of familiar ingredients. An experience we won't soon forget!

31/05/2026: We ate at a restaurant by the Pantheon and we were pickpocketed and a transaction for over $5,000 was done at this restaurant. Someone from this restaurant came into the restaurant we were in and pickpocketed the wallet. Be careful! They are in cahoots with the restaurant as well because everyone acted very suspicious at the Hostaria Pantheon restaurant we were sitting at across from the Pantheon when we came back to find the wallet. They were looking under the table we sat at and all around when we didn't even tell them what we were looking for.

14/05/2026: The place is modestly decorated, but the food is excellent and the waiter's service is spectacular. Highly recommended; the quality-to-price ratio is unbeatable. I'd go back every day.

Super fresh seafood and impeccable service, even when the restaurant was packed. The owner, Biffi, definitely knows his job: he's incredibly talented, patient, and incredibly kind. It was a pleasure working with him, and his lovely gesture of giving me a rose at the end of the meal really touched me. Five well-deserved stars!

20/10/2025: Hi, three stars, and I'll explain why later, but my rating is 8/10, and the positive assessment goes to the food and the staff. I gave it a 3 for the interior decor (which needs updating) and the slow service, which, however, is compensated by the quality of the dishes and the kindness of the staff. The first courses are exceptional.

10/05/2026: We went to this place to spend a pleasant Mother's Day with the family... and this was the result: a terrible lunch, embarrassing service, and €300 wasted. Believe me when I tell you, they don't even know the ABCs of cooking at this restaurant. We ordered a platter of raw seafood: what arrived were five small, empty sea urchins, a small portion of cuttlefish tagliatelle served without ice, four hairy mussels, four white walnuts, four oysters, and a small plate of boiled octopus. For the first course: 2 mezze maniche with monkfish: extremely hard, dry pasta, with barely any tomato sauce and no monkfish whatsoever, replaced with shrimp; 2 spaghetti with clams: extremely salty, watery, and completely flavorless. After that mess, I wanted to get up and leave, but out of politeness, we stayed. We also ordered fried calamari and a medium-rare steak: the calamari was clearly frozen, and the meat arrived overcooked. All for the "modest" price of €300, completely unjustified given the quality, quantity, and service. The worst thing, however, was the owner's attitude: rude, arrogant, and aggressive, to the point of verbally attacking me simply because we'd pointed out problems with the dishes to the waiters. The positive reviews we've read online don't even begin to reflect our experience. A word of advice to the owner: catering is an art based on quality, respect, and politeness. You clearly can't do this job.

15/05/2026: Fantastic!!!! We had a wonderful meal last night. We had fried anchovies, giant prawns with a light cheese sauce, truffle pasta, branzino and tuna. It was all delicious! The service was spot on. So helpful to have some assistance in English (our Italian isn’t great) and with a wine recommendation that perfectly completed our meal.

15/05/2026: Wonderful atmosphere, food, drink, and good service. Waiters were knowledgeable and accommodating about celiac disease and made sure to avoid any cross contamination. Good place to go if you want upscale food that’s gluten free.

29/10/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor. A large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor tables, both on the inner side of the city walls. A la carte menu. We opted for two appetizers and two pistachio-crusted tuna. Delicious! Recommended!

10/06/2026: We had a few light sandwiches here. Peaceful, out of the sun with a nice breeze, and light music playing. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious! The service was also very good! Highly recommended!
