14/08/2025: OUR SPECIAL PLACE! Having two small children, we rarely eat out, and those few times we do, it's right here! The food is superior (I recommend the Greek-style shrimp), the service is formal yet friendly (they're a family, and it shows), and the location is splendid, being on the seafront but in a more remote area, almost untouched like in the early days, and not in the chaos of Riccione with its umbrellas and loungers. I recommend going for lunch, even in bad weather 😘🌦🏄🏽‍♂️

08/11/2025: 🇬🇧: We were the first customers to arrive, and yet we had to wait over an hour for a simple pizza! They tried to make me believe it wasn't their fault... but then, whose fault is it? +1h30 😅 In the end, the price I paid didn't match the one listed on the menu, and when I pointed this out, the staff acted in a sneaky and manipulative manner. As if that weren't enough, they also tried to add a completely unjustified service charge, which they then had to cancel after I reported it. Furthermore, they charged us for things we didn't consume, like a large 1L bottle of water when we only ordered a small 25cl! When I noticed and pointed out the mistake, they hung up on me, only to later admit it was their fault! 😡 🇬🇧 : We were the first customers to arrive, and yet we had to wait more than an hour for a simple pizza! 13/10/2025: As someone who works in the industry, I have to say I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The Aperol Spritz was practically undrinkable: you could clearly taste it was made with a very low-quality wine, which should never happen in a restaurant that claims to be of a certain level. Furthermore, it would be fair to warn customers that the fish isn't fresh, because you can immediately taste it in the taste and texture. Certain details make the difference in the kitchen, and here, unfortunately, there's a lack of care and transparency. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. It's a shame, because the location is good, but the quality of the food and drinks really leaves much to be desired.

01/10/2025: A home-style Italian restaurant, everything is delicious. Scallops, mussels, pasta... everything is amazing.

02/09/2025: Never again. Spaghetti with scampi, but only one scampi, the rest were shrimp. Spaghetti with lobster, the sauce was sweet, but the surprise was when I turned the lobster over to eat it, it was completely clean, not a trace of the flesh. When that happens, don't bring cutlery to clean the shell; it seems like a joke.

19/07/2025: Very good pizza, including unusual variations, such as truffle. Very good prices, and the service was very friendly.

22/06/2025: Excellent pizza!!! Digestible dough, thin pizza. Spectacular vegetable pizza with zucchini alla Scapece and eggplant mushroom. We will be back!

18/10/2025: I had a great experience yesterday, the food was absolutely gorgeous and the the service was amazing flo was the one serving me she’s very good at her job never in my life had a service like that, she was amazing I will definitely be back😁

16/09/2025: We only ate at the restaurant. The restaurant was full of people, but they made an effort and got us a table relatively quickly. The food was very tasty, except for the dessert, which was quite below average compared to the main meal and appetizer. At the end they served us a free digestif. The rating for service would probably be higher if the restaurant wasn't really crowded.

17/08/2025: Hotel San Francisco is a really nice place. We felt well-cared from the very beginning, and were given very good instructions on how to get to the hotel (we received a very helpful video). The communication with the staff was fantastic – we arrived in Cala Gonone really late but Mr. Maurizio was waiting for us and kept in touch with us, for which we were truly grateful. The room was very comfortable and very clean, the staff kept the rooms very clean. Breakfast outside was very pleasant, with a beautiful view, very close to the sea. Mr. Maurizio was truly helpful with every issue – from small tips about the location to attractions around Cala Gonone. The location is excellent; despite the lack of parking directly at the hotel, finding a parking space nearby was never a problem – we were also very grateful for the staff's tips. We also highly recommend ice cream – the best in all Cala Gonone! We hope to return to this beautiful place, and if we do, we will definitely choose the Hotel San Francisco, where we could truly relax. Greetings Magda & Marek

20/07/2025: Ristorante a conduzione famigliare a Viareggio. Io e i miei amici ci siamo venuti due sere di fila perché ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo praticamente provato tutto il menù. Niente da dire, tutto ottimo. Qualità della materia prima alta, cucinata bene e i gestori del locale sono gentilissimi e sempre con il sorriso. Il conto è giusto. Qualità prezzo imbattibile.

27/06/2025: Ho appena cenato qui e mi sono innamorata della cucina e di chi lo gestisce. Il mio menù condiviso con mia figlia: lasagna al branzino fresco (fenomenale!!!!!), fritto misto ( non unto, abbondante e gustoso), pepata di cozze (mia figlia le ha divorate) e patate fritte con buccia ( croccanti e gustosissime). Non sono riuscita a mangiare il dolce ma la lista proposta era davvero molto attraente. Anche il vinello della casa era fresco e adatto ai piatti mangiati

16/08/2025: Total disappointment, we know very well that if you go to eat fish it's expensive and that's why one expects to be at least a little full, I understand that it was August 15th but a grilled shellfish that costs €35 you can't bring me forming a circle only 3 prawns and 2 mantis shrimp, even if by forming a circle you wanted to make it look like a full plate it was still 3 prawns and 2 mantis shrimp, my family and I looked at each other and said: come on, they're just joking, you'll see that later they'll bring another plate also made in a circle but with more fish, 🤣 I deluded myself it was really just those 5 shellfish! Oh well never again! Since I can't answer you I'll write to you here, I'm not starting an argument of course but we know what we ate, we're not stupid, we were in the area and we tried and we were disappointed, you have to accept the negative reviews too! Best regards

19/10/2025: Don't even try calling on Saturdays and Sundays. They don't even know there's a phone. You have to go there and order. Even if there are only three people in the restaurant, there's no difference. They have to waste your time waiting. Otherwise, they won't be happy. Don't waste your time calling. It's not worth it! This has been going on for years and years, but nothing has changed. It's obvious they can afford it, considering the prices! Simply embarrassing!

16/10/2025: Excellent!! A restaurant that feels like being welcomed home, with a warm atmosphere and attention to detail. You can sense the passion of a family-run business that pours its heart into every dish. Excellent pizza, as well as other exceptional fish and meat dishes on the menu!

18/10/2025: The hotel's strong points are its quiet location, spacious rooms, its location in the historic center, which allows you to walk to the beach, and a varied breakfast included (sweet, savory, and drinks). Independence thanks to the keys provided. The train station is a 10-minute walk away, and the bike path to Varazze is nearby.
