Balzi Rossi In

For my 36th birthday, my girlfriend treated me to lunch at this restaurant, which has a breathtaking location overlooking the sea. The staff was very kind, polite, and professional. In my opinion, all the food was exquisite and meticulously prepared, as you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I found the raw fish to be truly excellent (photo attached).

I'll start by saying I wasn't expecting these flavors, but we were pleasantly surprised to taste some truly unique dishes. The appetizer of Sanremo red prawns, burrata, and nasturtium refreshed us and prepared us for the surprise of the shellfish soup, fermented tomato, and tapioca: a true dive into the sea! A final note of great value: the black mandarin and helichrysum dessert: we'd never seen or tried anything like it. We can't wait to return to be amazed once again.

I came to this restaurant with my daughter and we were truly satisfied. We started with raw fish, everything very fresh and of excellent quality: the Sanremo prawn in particular was exceptional. Next we had tagliolini with prawns and spaghetti with sea urchins, both very good and well-balanced in flavor. For main courses, we chose red mullet and duck, both carefully prepared and well-prepared. To conclude, we indulged in the desserts: a spectacular lemon and meringue cake, served with a piece of burning charcoal placed on top to lightly caramelize it, and a soufflé, all truly excellent. A positive experience from every perspective, both for the quality of the food and the originality of some of the dishes. Recommended!

We tried the 7-course tasting menu at Balzi Rossi. Beautiful location, truly evocative. The dishes were meticulously prepared, and the smoked rice was amazing. The smoked ice cream dessert was unique and different, yet delightful. A different dinner than usual; I really enjoyed it.
