07/12/2025: We went there for a birthday dinner. We were truly disappointed by this change in management!!! Fifteen of us crowded into a corner of the restaurant. We asked for Roman-style payment and were all forced to pay in cash. They added three beers to our bill on top of what we ordered, and one girl wasn't even given her €15 change (despite insisting she had given it to us).

26/10/2025: I have so much to say I don't know where to begin. I just finished my romantic getaway to Sensole, and I couldn't have made a better choice, starting with the truly off-the-beaten-path season, which still offers warm, sunny days. I already knew Monte Isola, but not this place, and I must say I found true peace here. I booked a room with half board, and as a foodie, I loved everything about it: from the tasting menu at dinner to the gourmet breakfast the following morning. Not content with that, we also tried lunch at the Bistrot. If you hadn't already figured it out, I highly recommend it!

07/09/2025: I had a very pleasant experience at Ummara restaurant, which is definitely worth a visit for anyone passing through Scicli. The outdoor location offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, yet is dimly lit, making it perfect for romantic evenings. The service was professional and attentive, although the pace could be improved during busy periods. The food, overall, was good. The anchovy crostoni were a pleasant surprise, as was the freshly baked bread with butter and cream, which added a unique touch to the dining experience. The quality of the ingredients is evident and showcased beautifully in every dish. The dishes, though sometimes simple, are prepared with great care, and the variety on the menu caters to different tastes and preferences. Dishes like the octopus ragù and spaghetti with amberjack ragù were truly well-prepared, rich in flavor, and very fresh. The wine selection was another highlight, with a good selection that included delicious local options like the SP68 Bianco Arianna, which proved to be an excellent accompaniment to the meal. Although the price may seem high to some, considering the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant, I find the experience well-justified. Ummara is a restaurant that offers a good combination of quality, service, and ambiance, and I highly recommend trying it for a pleasant and relaxing dinner.

11/11/2025: 5* overall, but to summarize: Let's start with the service, which I would describe as punctual, discreet, and absolutely perfect. The food—every dish is prepared with love, respecting the organoleptic qualities of each ingredient. The result is undoubtedly a well-balanced dish where every bite is a delight for the palate. The presentation of the dishes—here too, you can sense the care and attention, offering what could be described as small works of art. In conclusion, I'd like to say that it's truly difficult to find a restaurant where you feel like a guest and not a customer. Kudos to Raffaele and his staff, who know how to give me an excellent experience every time I visit. Well done everyone!!! 30/11/2025: "At the chef's discretion" was the answer to our questions about the menu. No initial explanation; we still hadn't figured out if it was possible to order à la carte because the menu wasn't brought to us. We asked several times what the first course was, to see if it would be better to skip the menu and order à la carte, but nothing. There was no way to find out. When we asked for pasta with tomato sauce or pasta without tomato sauce for a two-year-old, we were told no, "The chef doesn't make them anymore because there are always leftovers." So what? After a bit of persistence, they brought us pasta with tomato sauce. I'd say it's not suitable for families, then. But perhaps that's precisely what they're aiming for. Probably only regular customers who already know what kind of management they do are comfortable here. How did we eat? Well... it's a matter of taste. We returned because of the super-positive memories from several years ago, but we certainly won't be returning again.

18/11/2025: The place is very welcoming, as is the staff. Kudos to the kitchen for the deliciousness of the dishes, the scampi cream was delicious, not to mention the salmon and mushroom ravioli, which were fantastic. Highly recommended for enjoying consistently fresh and carefully prepared dishes!

09/11/2025: This hidden gem has several distinguishing features. Our dinner was accompanied by a wide variety of freshly baked breads, all strictly finger-sized for a wonderful tasting experience. The breadsticks, filled with butter and nutmeg, also stunned everyone. The seafood dishes are indescribable; they speak for themselves once tasted.
