03/07/2026: What a special place for lunch. You sit wonderfully cool under the trees with a beautiful view of the Arno Valley. The restaurant is located next to the abbey of the same name, which dates back to 1050. The dishes are original and based on recipes by Lorenza de’ Medici. Fresh, local, and flavorful. Highly recommended.

20/06/2026: Great ambience and service, truly lovely staff. The food was honestly very underwhelming. It was mostly nicely plated dishes but bland. We had a raw dish appetizer with an herb sauce, it was fine, fish was fresh but needed some salt and acid. The pasta in brodo was the star, actually no complaints there. The special of the day was a red snapper with a butter clam sauce and it was quite terrible. Fish was not cooked well, felt like it was out waiting to be taken to the table for too long. The clam butter sauce curdled and didn’t even taste clams. An expensive restaurant that delivers on ambience and service but you would likely have a better meal from a to-go pizza store.

06/07/2026: We spent 10 days in Tuscany, and this was our favourite restaurant of the trip. The service was exceptional - genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive in a way that felt natural rather than rehearsed. The food and wine were both excellent: beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly high quality. We were lucky enough to have a table overlooking the thermal waters, which made the whole experience incredibly atmospheric and memorable. Swallows flew low over our heads as we ate, adding a magical, almost cinematic feel to the evening.

02/07/2026: I encountered an ingredient called Puntarelle for the first time. I was told that Puntarelle is an ingredient available only for a brief seasonal period each year, and it was incredibly delicious. I ate burrata cheese at every restaurant throughout my trip to Italy, but this place was the best.

04/05/2026: They didn't give us a room at the hotel. They took us to a house across the street. The room was very basic, and the bathroom was old and outdated. The shower was tiny and difficult to use, and the toilet cistern was broken; we had to hit it to get it to work. It was very expensive for the awful room they gave us. I don't recommend it. 20/03/2026: A lovely hotel in San Gimignano, with the owner's courtesy and helpfulness. The only downside was that we had to pay for two coffees in the morning, even though breakfast was included. Sometimes you need a good nose.

26/07/2026: A perfect place to stop without going out of your way. The food was delicious, and the service was quick and very friendly. Ideal for refueling and continuing your journey. We'll definitely be back.

13/07/2026: It wasn't our first time at this restaurant. Originally a Neapolitan pizzeria, it has evolved over time and now offers a wide selection of seafood and meat dishes. They also make various "pinsa," but I can't comment on them. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's still good. We saw excellent platters being passed around the tables, and they were truly generous. We opted for a meat option, and the first courses we tried (pici with Cinta Senese sausage and Tuscan pecorino cheese, and tagliatelle with Chianti ragù) were completely satisfying in terms of flavor and quantity. Free, spacious parking. The location is close to the walls of Buonconvento. The only small drawback: the service, despite being friendly, was objectively a bit slow.

24/06/2026: We were a large group that walked in with no reservation and they were able to accommodate us on the beautiful terrace. The hostess was great and compliments to the chef because the food was fantastic!

19/06/2026: What a wonderful evening! Thank you, Chef Livio, for the risotto, which was A+ (10 out of 10)... Jasmin's smile in the dining room makes everything even more delicious. Above all, thanks to the owner, Max, for welcoming us. ❤️

07/07/2026: I was absolutely amazed by the value this hotel offers. From the beautiful terrace to its peaceful setting in a charming medieval town, everything exceeded my expectations. When I entered my room, I was surprised by how spacious it was and how much character it had. It felt like a place with a story to tell. The furnishings evoke the atmosphere of medieval Italy, creating a truly unique experience. The wooden furniture, brick-built bathroom, black wrought-iron towel racks, and traditional windows overlooking the street all came together to give the room an authentic, timeless charm. Staying here felt like stepping back in time in the best possible way. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Before the trip, I was a little concerned after reading reviews about how difficult it might be to bring luggage to the hotel, but it turned out not to be an issue at all. You can drive right up to the entrance to load and unload your bags, and there’s also an elevator in the building. The staff also provided a generous breakfast each morning and were very accommodating with our travel plans. I would highly recommend this place

27/05/2026: We stayed there for three nights at the end of our trip to Italy. The room was superb and spacious with a breathtaking view of Tuscany. The staff were kind and attentive. You need a very small car to get to the hotel entrance with luggage because the streets are narrow; parking is available at the bottom of the village but close to the hotel. Breakfast is served, but there is no restaurant on site for meals during the rest of the day; this is why we are giving it four stars rather than five.

12/07/2026: I found the summer menu on the heavy side. Very clean and nice, service was great and the ambience was great. Price was inline and I would go back. The stinco was very tender and flavorful, as the fiori di zucca were too thick and heavy.

26/05/2026: If you’re looking for a calm and beautiful place to relax and unwind, this is the perfect spot. We really enjoyed our stay. Mélodie was a wonderful host and even prepared vegan breakfast and dinner for us. And Albert, the dog, was definitely an extra bonus!

14/05/2026: Do not drive into the accommodation unless you have a compact car!!!!!! Park in the village parking lot and carry your bags! You will scratch your rental car!!!!! I hope the kind old gentleman who welcomed us so warmly stays in that spot for a long time.

20/06/2026: Lovely little place outside of the hustle and bustle of the center. Food was delicious and server was very nice. They have a regular menu and a hand written menu del giorno. Great price, would recommend!

18/06/2026: The tartare meat was tender and the onion garnish was flavorful. The grilled zucchini dish was definitely not up to par, tasteless and undercooked. Considering the €12 price tag, I'd say it was avoidable. Overall, a mediocre and overpriced experience.

10/06/2026: An amazing and intimate dining experience. The vibes were cozy and the food was so fresh and divine. You can taste the hard work and love that went into it. We highly recommend and of course order a bottle of wine.
