I don't know what the wine is like because I don't drink alcohol if I have to drive like so many others do in Italy who then crash into guardrails and kill innocent people... 🤷 If you have to drive to Milan and already start drinking wine here, I don't know how far you'll go... ..hoping you don't kill innocent people.. 🤷
20/12/2025: The portions were really small, both for the entrees and the side dishes. Unfortunately, we didn't take photos, but the portions weren't like the ones pictured here.
A meager portion of fries for €4.50 is definitely too much.
The place is very nice, and the service is quick.

13/10/2025: A small cozy restaurant with awesome food. The steak with truffle cream was amazing, one of the best we ever had. Also the tagliatelle pasta with ragu was amazing and the tiramisu was good. Also had a caprese salad which
was tasty. Overall, definitely will come back.

29/12/2025: Quiet, clean, and in a fantastic location. The pool isn't particularly large, but it has a fantastic view of the hills. The property also has a restaurant where the food is exceptionally good. The dishes are typical of the area, and the quality is high. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Recommended.

04/11/2025: It's always a real pleasure to spend a few days at Locanda del Castello. Massimo is a wonderful and friendly host and a skilled chef. The menu is extensive and excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. A must-visit!

11/11/2025: Wonderful hospitality upon arrival and it's in a charming, medieval village. Hotel rooms are spacious and beautiful. We had an amazing view. You will want to have a car because the nearby towns with restaurants will take at least a half hour to drive to. Also be aware that the streets leading up to the hotel are very narrow.
27/10/2025: Beautiful quiet mideval village. Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was ok. It is continental, but great to have so not looking for breakfast first thing in the morning. Staff helpful and friendly. Rooms are beautiful. Views are stunning and the terrance is lovely at anytime but evening with the lights is magical. Thank you for a lovely restful stay.

15/07/2025: Ho scelto questo ristorante toscano per festeggiare il mio 40^ compleanno insieme a mio marito.
D'estate si mangia in giardino, magari davanti all'aiuola popolata da simpatiche tartarughe.
Il menu "Greatest Hits" è un incredibile viaggio nella cucina toscana con idee contemporanee ma con tutto il sapore della tradizione.
Tutto il menu è superlativo con picchi di eccellenza.
Geniale la quaglia arrostita con il creme caramel ai funghi.
Indimenticabile il risotto fagiano e mandorle.
Non da meno i dolci, sia la rivisitazione della zuppa inglese, sia "I love Siena", un semifreddo ai ricciarelli.
Servizio cortese e caloroso.
Prezzo adeguato a quanto offerto.
10/07/2025: Tuvimos una cena maravillosa aquí. Todo estuvo genial, desde los entrantes hasta los platos principales y los postres. Todos los pequeños detalles que nos dieron, desde el pan hasta los pimientos rojos espumosos y los pequeños dulces del final, también fueron maravillosos. Nos sentamos afuera en el jardín y fue encantador. El servicio fue bueno, estuvieron allí cuando los necesitábamos pero no estaban invadiendo el lugar. Merece totalmente la estrella Michelin. Muy recomendable.

We discovered a world of excellence, cultivated with love, creativity, and professionalism. Roberto is a truly human being, humble and generous, an expert in the industry who knows how to convey his passion.
His products are truly special and perfect as gifts.
I recommend this unique experience to everyone.

05/07/2025: El mismo día que llegamos a la Toscana decidimos ir a un restaurante cercano recomendado por el hotel. Llegamos al establecimiento donde mi hija de 11 años (que habla Italiano con fluidez) se adelantó y preguntó si podían hospedarnos a los 4.
El anfitrión inmediatamente comenzó a maltratarla, en voz muy alta, preguntándole si no era capaz de levantar el teléfono y llamar para solicitar una reserva, entre otras ofensas. Se aseguró de que todo el restaurante pudiera escucharlo e incluso después de que salimos del restaurante pudimos escucharlo haciendo bromas sobre nosotros y los clientes riendo.
Seamos claros aquí: si logras ser cruel con un niño, no es un rasgo de personalidad ni tampoco se trata de que no te importe lo que piensen los demás. ES SIMPLEMENTE CRUEL Y MALVADO. Y los clientes que se ríen son igual de malos.
Por lo tanto, te sugiero que si lees este post y estás en Montefollonico evites este restaurante o, si lo prefieres, pases por allí, pidas una mesa y cuando te traten mal respondas en el buen y viejo Italiano: VAFFAN… C. U. ¡¡¡L.O!! !! !

05/06/2025: Recientemente pasamos 3 días en Fattorio Poggio Alloro y fue nuestro favorito 3 días de nuestro viaje de 2 semanas! La gente es maravillosa allí, la comida era excepcional y las vistas eran espectaculares. Cerca de San Gimgnano, así que mucho que hacer. Nos encantó la sensación relajada del lugar y el hermoso campo. ¡No puedo esperar a volver!
05/06/2025: Estando en Toscana desea probar el vino Chianti. Sí, lo tengo y mucho más. Hemos paseado junto a los viñedos y olivos, hemos saltado a los establos y hemos aprendido dónde y cómo se crea el vino. Todo el grupo de nosotros tuvimos un maravilloso tiempo de cata de vinos, disfrutando de maridaje de vino con productos locales. La cena se basó en la granja local y la comida de temporada y hemos aplaudido. Una señora que estaba celebrando su cumpleaños el mismo día tuvo la oportunidad de beber vino de la copa muy especial. Quedamos fascinados con el paisaje, la comida de gran calidad y el vino de Dios y sobre todo apreciamos el amor y el cuidado de la familia y todo el equipo. Saludos y gracias, Salute e Gracie, bravi.

20/03/2026: A few days in Buonconvento were truly enjoyable, thanks in part to the warm welcome and delicious food at the "Le Antiche Mura" restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food excellent, the prices very reasonable, and the staff was helpful and attentive. I would definitely return.
26/02/2026: 15 euro menu...spaghetti with garlic and mussels...simple and perfect...then a delicious onion omelette...water, wine, and coffee...good to say the least.

16/11/2025: If you see it, avoid it. There's no menu, only 4 items, and not all of them are available. Two first courses, a Tomino cheese, and two glasses of wine for €56. 😡 There were only 3 tables set, the place was empty.
