08/08/2026: Great Tuscan food of the more refined style. Everything was delicious.

04/08/2026: Located in the heart of San Gimignano, you might think it's just another tourist-oriented restaurant. Quite the opposite. The young chef, with experience in high-end settings, offers cuisine that's deeply rooted in tradition but crafted with expert knowledge of techniques and ingredients. All this is topped off by an equally young and very kind maître d' who knows what needs to be done. I was truly pampered! P.S. The hazelnut dessert with extra virgin olive oil, salt, basil, and peach is a must-try.

11/08/2026: We had a table outside, which made this dinner truly special. The dishes were delicious and served in a very atmospheric setting. Highly recommended.

10/08/2026: Amazing food and excellent service. The place just next to the point view of San Gimignano. The food shows the traditional history of San Gimignano that you should not miss! They have their own amazing wine that good with very well with the food selections. The service is very great and very friendly people. There also have an amazing wine cellar below which is very historical one.

12/08/2026: I went because I'd heard great things about the saffron risotto in San Gimignano. I ordered the vegetable and cheese tart as a starter, and surprisingly, it was good! When the main course arrived, I found something completely different from what I understand a risotto to be. There's a basic principle for a risotto: it should be "all'onda," meaning it should make waves. My hopes were dashed. It wasn't creamy, and I couldn't taste the butter; it was more like rice with bits and pieces. 37 euros for a quart of white wine, bread, the tart, and a rice dish. This is constructive criticism, not destructive; there's room for improvement. I've been in the restaurant business for 26 years. If, by chance, they wanted me to make a risotto, I wouldn't have any problem with that.

07/08/2026: Il Rigoletto is a small corner in the heart of San Gimignano that preserves a traditional soul along with its intimate and welcoming nature. Unfortunately, I don't have photos of many dishes on the menu, but a must-try is the "Pici al Rigoletto" (pictured in the second photo), a signature dish. The main courses, especially the meat, are also highly recommended. The service is excellent and very attentive. The choice to post notes and comments from each guest on the walls is also lovely, making the place incredibly charming.

18/08/2026: Excellent pizza and tiramisu! Friendly waitress who knew how to adjust her speaking pace to be understood (worth noting, as this isn't always the case).

01/07/2026: My wife and I had dinner here: the restaurant is beautiful, located in a 13th-century building. The pici alla cinta senese and the local tagliata steak were excellent. We drank Vernaccia di San Gimignano.

29/06/2026: The Ristorante Peruca is quite special. We had a wonderful lunch there while visiting San Gimiginano and could not have been happier with our meal. The food is really quite exceptional. Everything we tried was fantastic. Highly recommend.

11/08/2026: Wonderful family run restaurant off the Main Street but well worth seeking out. The owner himself served us and the food was like his mother had cooked it, the recommended local wine was top with the dishes 👍

12/08/2026: We went inside, completely EMPTY restaurant. We asked if we can sit by the window - empty table, only 1 person sitting besides us. The RUDE waitress with 0 English kept saying ‘no’ we said ‘why?’ She kept saying ‘because no’ in Italian. She has no English and no manners. Don’t go here.

16/08/2026: This was one of my top three restaurants we visited during our 10 day adventure around Tuscany. Very unassuming but amazing. We were staying in the hotel so decided to eat there as we arrived late and ended up eating there all of the nights. Romantic, reasonably priced, stunning views and even better food and wine. This is an absolute must. If you book for sunset too the sky is just fantastic while you’re eating. We had beautiful purple ad orange skies. The staff were lovely and happy to talk us through the menu and is also dog friendly - although we didn’t have a dog it was lovely to see our furry friends in there too. Please give this place a go if you’re staying there or passing! The view of the stars is also amazing from this place.

13/08/2026: The food was all good: I recommend the wild boar dish, which includes pappardelle with ragù and stewed meat. The tiramisu was also delicious. The location is beautiful, overlooking the hills from the hotel. The only downside was that, since there were six of us, they didn't split the bill and made one person (i.e., me) pay for everything. All this was accompanied by some rather unbelievable excuses. Details that make all the difference.

07/08/2026: Don't believe the negative reviews; almost all of them are written out of spite or to annoy. Almost none are truthful, except for a few, which are rightly constructive. A very nice place, friendly staff, good and well-prepared food, and fair value for money! It's a shame about the rudeness of some customers!

10/08/2026: The bald waiter here showed me the price of a large beer (50cl) and said 7.5 euros. I said okay and ordered it. He brought me a 33cl glass of beer. When I said I wanted a large one, he very disrespectfully said that was the largest they had. I said you showed me a 50cl large beer on the menu, and he mockingly said it was written incorrectly there. If I had insisted further with this very disrespectful person, he might have even gotten into a fight with me. Thinking about my vacation, I just said "shame on him" and didn't bother. The girl at the bar agreed with me and apologized; I thank her.

22/06/2026: An exceptional meal. This restaurant perfectly embodies the essence of Italian cuisine: simple recipes, but with high-quality ingredients and impeccable proportions. I had a selection of bruschetta as a starter, homemade pasta with duck ragù as a main course, and tiramisu for dessert. It was a delight. The estate's wine is incredible and very reasonably priced for its quality (€16 a bottle!). It complements the local cuisine beautifully. A great place to eat if you're ever in the San Gimignano area.
