11/07/2025: Dinner with friends, excellent product quality, equally high-quality cuisine and presentation. The downside is the small portion sizes for both starters and main courses, as well as desserts. You could count the gnocchi at first glance, the meat cuts were thin strips, the side dishes are small portions, such as the spinach, you could count the leaves. The wine by the glass was in short supply and at a truly excessive price given the very average quality. The desserts were also small portions with customization of the preparation that has nothing to do with the original, such as tiramisu. Let's say it's a classic tourist restaurant but has little to do with real Tuscan or Italian cuisine. The older waiter was very good and professional.

09/07/2025: We had an unforgettable lunch at Osteria La Taverna di San Giuseppe. The cannelloni with veal and truffle was exceptional, rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We also had the carbonara, which was equally impressive, creamy, perfectly balanced, and deeply satisfying. The setting is cozy and full of charm, and the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. A perfect spot for a memorable meal in Siena — definitely worth a reservation!

The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, always helpful and friendly, which makes the stay even more pleasant. The breakfast is also delicious and offers plenty of fruit to start the day invigorated. 05/07/2025: We came to Siena to explore, staying at San Roco a Pilli. A Google Maps search brought up this restaurant. We tried it and it was right 😀. The value for money was excellent. The food was delicious! The staff was super friendly.

Fatima and the other staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a pleasure to eat in a place where kindness is spontaneous, a quality that, unfortunately, is increasingly rare. 02/07/2025: As a restaurateur, I know what it means to manage a sudden change in a reservation: we started with a table of 10 and arrived with 22, all communicated promptly as the diners were added... and I fully understand the discomfort that a situation like this can create. Precisely to facilitate the service and allow for smooth management, we ourselves proposed a single menu for everyone. Since the diners were coming from different parts of Italy, and we spared no expense... we wanted to offer them a taste of the local cuisine, perhaps with a selection of appetizers, a couple of first courses and a typical second course. Instead, with an attitude not inclined to discussion and almost annoyed, we were forced to choose a menu consisting of an appetizer and a mixed grill. No real openness to dialogue, no alternative proposal. We let it slide - there was no point in arguing. The food? Excellent, nothing to say. The location? Simply wonderful. But let me say, with all understanding and respect between colleagues: a smile costs nothing, and it makes all the difference. Welcoming with courtesy, especially large groups, is a fundamental part of hospitality. Even the best cuisine loses part of its value if the person serving it seems almost disturbed by our presence. With a little more empathy and human warmth, the experience would have been truly perfect

25/06/2025: A pleasant surprise. The service is professional and fast, and the cuisine is simple but well-executed. My risotto allo scoglio was rich in seafood and well-seasoned. Fish isn't easy to find in Tuscany, and here you can have the first and second courses made with fish! The rum baba was very good. I'll be back!

04/08/2025: Hotel situato a poca distanza da Montalcino. Ambiente molto curato, camera pulita e per tre persone molto spaziosa. Ci siamo fermati una sola notte, ma anche per soggiorni più lunghi sarebbe confortevole. Materassi super comodi. Cura nei dettagli, ho amato gli scuretti alle finestre, le tinte pastello negli arredi che richiamano i colori naturali della struttura in pietra, i quadri scelti con coerenza, fiori nelle stanze e negli spazi comuni riproduzioni di un pittore dell’800 con figure umane. All’esterno divanetti e poltroncine sotto un pergolato arricchito da gelsomini. Io, amante della colazione salata, ho potuto mangiare panino con un ottimo salame locale. Staff gentilissimo. Matilde merita una menzione speciale. Giovane e amante della sua terra vi darà i consigli giusti per vivere al meglio l’esperienza. Piccole chicche su ristoranti locali e cantine del luogo. Ci tornerei.

21/07/2025: My favorite thing about this hotel is how great the staff are. Everyone is so lovely, friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my time here. It’s an excellent location to view the Tuscan countryside and wineries.

10/08/2025: Relaxation and quiet, the restaurant is excellent, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. If you want to visit the Crete Senesi area and relax in a peaceful setting that takes you back in time, this is an excellent choice. My only suggestion is that the bathroom products need to be increased; the shower gel is too little for one person, and a little personal care with a few useful, natural products would be a nice touch. Convenient parking.

09/08/2025: We went in the Summer, and it is a great place to go if you want to get away for everyone and everything . Lots of cycling routes and if you can walk, many angelic small villages dotted around. As my father says, it is a cyclist's dream where they can go cycle while their family bathes in the pool. The pool is great!! (Many flies buzzed around us the whole holiday though.)

24/05/2025: Restaurant traditionnel à la décoration un peu désuète mais avec beaucoup de charme. La cuisine est elle aussi traditionnelle mais très bien exécutée et permet de decouvrir une autre cuisine de Toscane. Service agréable dans un endroit calme.

30/06/2025: For me it was a great experience! Quiet and very nice place, attentive and careful service but not too formal, the right balance to feel good without too much formality! Very good food, absolutely not banal menu but without exaggerating in refinement, and even the apparently simplest preparations have a remarkable taste. Fair price compared to the quality of the food and the environment.

31/07/2025: Our family and I stayed at this campsite (tent) for five nights in July. It offers spacious pitches with plenty of shade. The friendly lady at reception let us choose our own. I think the campsite is only half full, which is actually quite remarkable. However, it also offers a wonderful sense of peace and quiet. Lots of families, so the kids had plenty of others to play with. The sanitary facilities are a bit dated but are constantly cleaned by a lady, which is very pleasant and contributes to a "clean experience." The village of Sarteano is worth a walk. There are plenty of other places to visit in the beautiful surrounding area. Three swimming pools: something for everyone, with lifeguards, plenty of sunbeds, and clean! In other reviews, I read complaints about the "rules." I didn't experience that at all; it's short and to the point. I would recommend this campsite if you appreciate the above aspects. If you're looking for a bit more activity and entertainment, I wouldn't choose this campsite.
