01/09/2025: The pizzeria is located in a busy alleyway in Castellina. We stopped by spontaneously for dinner. The pizza arrived very quickly and was delicious. The staff was very attentive.

28/08/2025: We stayed for three nights for dinner and the service was very good and friendly, especially from the waiter Milko, a young guy but with very good customer service and a lot of sympathy, he made us come back for his friendly treatment and the detail of the last night was very special. 04/09/2025: We were so disappointed. The reception was hostile-couldn’t find our reservations and blamed us until they finally found it. The servers were friendly to us but seemed unhappy with their employer. The lasagnas came out right away but one of our group did not get our order until all of the rest of us were finished. The spinach truffle turnovers were delicious. The lasagna was good but no better than others. The carbonara was average.

11/09/2025: We were a part of 11 and we all enjoyed this restaurant that much we went twice. Staff were very friendly and nothing was any trouble . Food was bello and it all came out at the same time 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 I would highly recommend

09/09/2025: DELICIOUS LUNCH INSIDE A CASTLE ! My wife and I arrived in Florence by Bullet Train from Rome on Sunday, March 23rd. A well appointed king suite on the 5th floor of the luxurious Hotel Berchielli would be HOME for the next 4 days. Hard to beat that view of the picturesque River Arno ! We had a couple of day tours planned while in Florence and had engaged the services of our fav limo tour driver Martin who knew the ropes around here better than most. And more than that Martin had become our good friend since we first used his services 18 months before when he drove us from Florence to Bologna via the scenic route. On Monday Martin picked us up out front to begin our road tour of Tuscany. AMAZING SCENERY EVERYWHERE ! We stopped at Piazza del Campo for a look around...Siena Cathedral was beautiful ! In the distance I could see a large structure that looked like a castle. I said to Martin that I had never seen a castle....then we will go there Michael was his reply. Martin let us out at the front entrance while he parked the limo...and then he joined us within a few minutes. WOW ! What we could see out front sure looked majestic. NOTE ! San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, north-central Italy. Known as the Town of Five Towers, San Gimignano is famous for its medieval architecture, unique in the preservation of about a dozen of its tower houses which with its hilltop setting and encircling walls, form "an unforgettable skyline". In the 3rd century BC a small Etruscan village stood on the site of San Gimignano. Shortly after we entered through the front gate my wife bought a beautiful Italian wide brimmed straw hat to replace the one left behind on the Bullet Train. We walked along the pristine paved paths looking at the wide variety of small businesses designed to please the hordes of tourists who visit here. At around 1pm we decided it was time to have some lunch and Martin knew the perfect spot...La Biscondola. We found a level table on the sloping outdoor patio and a smiling server named Giusy brought us menus. FIRST UP ! I ordered a bottle of Vale Blonde Ale to come out with our glasses of iced waters. I also asked Guisy to bring me a tall stem glass. FOOD ! I wasn't really sure what I wanted so I thought ordering a Bruschetta would be a good start. My wife and Martin both went with serves of Zuppa Toscana di Farro ( Tuscan spelled soup ). My ice cold blonde ale in a tall stem glass tasted very good. SUPER FAST SERVICE ! Before we knew it our server Giusy brought everything out to our table. My wife and our friend Martin commented how satisfying their soups tasted....it was a chilly day. OMG ! When I ordered my bruschetta I figured it would be a small serve and then I would order something else. BIGGEST BRUSCHETTA EVER ! But I tell you what....it was totally delicious. DESSERT ! We had plans to buy gelatos at a very famous gelateria up the street but some sort of cake sounded nice. When I was checking out inside a bit earlier I saw this interesting looking cake on the bar counter. Giusy told me it was called Panforte Fichi e Noci ( figs, nuts, honey ). Everyone agreed we should have some. Soon after Giusy brought out 6 thin slices on a platter...it tasted dense, rich and very flavorsome. We loved it. I had a lovely chat with Stefania the owner before we headed off on our merry way. A VERY ENJOYABLE LUNCH !

14/09/2025: The food is really good, we go there often and are satisfied with both the set menus, which are also plentiful, and the service is excellent. My compliments to both the chef and the waiters.

17/09/2025: L'Eco della Grotta: Stunning Melody, Not Always Perfect Highs I must admit, when it comes to impressive locations, I'm always a bit skeptical about the cuisine. Here, however, the setting is truly breathtaking: dining in these ancient caves is an evocative experience that alone is worth a visit. The cuisine, however, left me with mixed feelings. I still remember the aroma that filled the table, a prelude to meat that literally melted in my mouth. "Now this is serious stuff," I thought to myself. One of my fellow diners, however, found an equally ambitious dish surprisingly timid, almost bland. The service is prompt, almost rushed at times, with a friendly staff that shows some uncertainty when tested on the winemaking details. The bill is significant.

11/08/2025: We stayed a few days and had a great time. The rooms are simple and, in my opinion, could use some updating. However, the service is top-notch and the staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

10/08/2025: We were guests in this corner of paradise, immersed in tranquility. Thanks to its strategic location, we were able to easily combine moments of absolute relaxation by the pool with visits to the various neighboring villages...just what we were looking for! The perfect breakfast on the enchanting porch, the romantic and welcoming rooms, and the truly super attentive staff, especially Augusta and Alessandro, made us feel pampered with invaluable advice on the area. What can I say... if you're looking for a place to completely disconnect from everyday life, forgetting even the time and day, this is the place for you! See you soon.

06/06/2025: Das Essen war grandios und auch sehr schön präsentiert- wir waren mittags da. Der Service war auch gut. Rundherum in unserer Woche in Umbrien eines des besten Restaurants.

18/06/2025: terrible service, slow, they brought the food with different waiting times, some were starting to eat and some were finished. not very good food. tried to call the waiters several times with poor results since they don't even look at you and some only speak English. terrible value for money.

Excellent food, with attention to detail and top-quality ingredients. Mrs. Francoise is always friendly and prepares unmissable desserts.

05/05/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante per cena. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene: si poteva apprezzare la qualità dei prodotti e la cura nel prepararli; le porzioni giuste e calibrate. Consigliati i pici! Purtroppo non possiamo dare cinque stelle a causa della freddezza (o maleducazione) con cui siamo stati accolti e che ha contraddistinto il servizio di tutta la serata. Se il cibo ci avrebbe spinto a ritornare e consigliare, il servizio non ce lo farà fare. Peccato
