It's the perfect place for those seeking a relaxing evening, immersed in the beauty of the village and surrounded by inviting aromas. The cuisine is a celebration of tradition, yet with a touch of elegance. Handmade pasta, local and seasonal ingredients, dishes tastefully presented and, above all, flavorful and well-balanced. The main courses are surprising in their delicacy and intensity, while the desserts make you want to order another one right away. The service is attentive, friendly, and never intrusive. You can clearly sense the passion of those who work here, and their desire to offer not just a meal, but a memorable experience. The wine list is extensive, with many beautiful Tuscan labels, including carefully selected wines by the glass. A must-have for anyone visiting the Val d'Orcia and wanting to enjoy authentic Tuscan cuisine in an authentic and refined setting. 13/09/2025: An authentic and unforgettable Tuscan experience During our stay at the wonderful Relais Palazzo del Capitano, we dined several times at Trattoria Toscana al Vecchio Forno: a true gem in the heart of San Quirico d'Orcia. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfectly in tune with the medieval charm of the village. The outdoor garden is simply enchanting, perfect for a romantic dinner. The food? Extraordinary. From the handmade pasta, to the delicate and flavorful main courses, to the desserts that seem to have come straight from a family recipe book. Each dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and with a care that is evident at first bite. All accompanied by an extensive wine list, featuring select local labels. The service was impeccable: courteous, attentive, and always smiling. You can sense the love for the region and the authentic hospitality. Being guests at Relais Palazzo del Capitano made everything even more special: it was like living, for a few days, in a Tuscan dream. The experience is complete, harmonious, and profoundly authentic. Highly recommended, both for those seeking authentic Tuscan cuisine and for those who wish to experience the soul of this extraordinary place. We will definitely be back.

He was very kind with us. The atmosphere was peaceful and nice. I recommend stopping by this restaurant if you pass by San Quirico d'Orcia.

He told us where they sold oil and also gave us his phone number in case our car wouldn't start. We were very grateful for the service. I ordered the parmiggiana, which was delicious, and I recommend it! Thank you, thank you!

27/06/2025: Very nice people, probably a family business. Tratoria, unfortunately, on the main exit road. Very good pizza, good roast chicken, pastas are good (we've had better ones), but the price is competitive. Coffee, unfortunately capsule. Worth a visit.

18/06/2025: A great alternative to the tourist hustle and bustle of the city center. A small bar and delicatessen offering small specialties. The lady is very friendly and first asks very specifically about your wine preferences. Then you'll be served the perfect wine at a reasonable price. A snack is also included.

24/08/2025: You MUST go to this place if you’re in the area. The food is absolutely to die for and not expensive. Every bite is well thought out by the chef and the whole dining experience start to finish was unbelievable. The involtini was out of this world. You can make reservations via email.

Every course was top-notch: a feast for the eyes and the palate. We wisely let ourselves be guided in our choice of wine: the Barbanera "Gigino 80" proved to be a fitting complement to each course. Last but not least, the restaurant is part of the AIC network, so celiacs like me can enjoy their meal with complete peace of mind, without ANY restrictions. A true gift!
