20/04/2026: With a group of friends, heading out for the Eroica by motorbike, we stopped at this restaurant located in the pedestrian center of Gaiole. The service, the quality of the food, and the outdoor setting were perfect. A small criticism of the quantity, which is why I only gave it 4 stars... a few more forkfuls, given the type of guests (all, or almost all, for the same reason), wouldn't have hurt. I absolutely recommend it!!!

A special location, a village on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and Lazio, and the chef was on top of his game like never before in showcasing the local ingredients. The tasting was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish had something unique to offer, even the smallest bite. I would have said it was impossible to rank in order of goodness, because the extremely high quality of the suckling pig, the sea bass, and the scampi were all on par. But alas, all the courses had to capitulate in the face of the foie gras, an absolute masterpiece, an explosion of flavors, textures, and even temperatures, sublime, enhanced by the stellar pairing of the white wine we were offered... When you leave, the only thought is what the autumn menu will be like. Many thanks to the chef, the sommelier, and the entire team, young but truly knowledgeable, unobtrusive yet always present...

19/04/2026: Superb service. Efficiently executed with a smile. We were a group of 13 arriving wet and cold on bicycles. We were allowed to check in early, we could clean our muddy bikes and store them securely. As we had no car, we ordered pizza from town and ate on the hotel terrace. Rooms and communal areas very comfortable. Bar and breakfast very good.

The size of the main courses and their preparation could be slightly improved, but we appreciated the inclusion of seasonal vegetables in many dishes. 20/11/2025: I visited this place after being recommended to me by my Airbnb host, and they did not disappoint! Service was excellent and friendly especially towards a tourist like myself. The vibes were great and the food was phenomenal. Worth a visit if you’re ever in Siena!

14/04/2026: Four of us had dinner, with a reservation. I had pappardelle with duck ragù, then with friends we shared tagliata with arugula, parmesan, and balsamic reduction, tartare with stracciatella, and carpaccio with ricotta mousse. Everything was truly delicious, accompanied by an excellent "Scorbutico" (wine produced by a local winery). Fast and attentive service, a very intimate and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

08/04/2026: What a surprising discovery this bistro was! ✨ Arrival We hadn’t made a reservation, but with great kindness they still managed to find us a table. It immediately gave us a warm and welcoming feeling to start the evening. Starter We began with the cold cuts, and we were also given some extra explanation. Everything was perfectly balanced and of top quality – a wonderful start. Main course For my main course, I chose the fresh pici with pear. A dish full of flavor with a perfect balance – no pasta drowning in sauce, but just the way it should be. My son had the hamburger. Not like the ones we are used to, but truly excellent. The meat was very flavorful and, even though he doesn’t like onions, his plate was almost completely empty. Dessert The desserts finished everything off perfectly. The tiramisu with Nutella (which my husband initially had doubts about) turned out to be the best he has had during our week in Italy! My son chose the red fruit crumble – also clearly a hit. Even though we were already quite full, the desserts disappeared quickly. All credit to the chef: every dish was perfectly balanced in flavor. The house wine completed the experience. 🍷 This is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss! 🙌

15/04/2026: I went to eat at this restaurant on the recommendation of local friends and based on the positive reviews (4.4 stars), but honestly, I can't understand how anyone could like such a place. I'm from Naples, so I'm used to a whole different level of cuisine, but here it's not just about taste: the quality of the products and the condition of the place were truly disappointing. The restaurant was packed despite it being a Tuesday night, but I had a terrible impression from the moment I entered: the place was tiny, tables were packed tightly together, and the smell of food lingered (I left with smelly clothes). There was also a cat at the entrance, which immediately made me consider leaving, but unfortunately it was already 10:00 PM. The place overall seemed unclean and neglected: old and dirty doors, and a single bathroom for men, women, and disabled people, with a decent but barely functioning sink. As for the food, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The appetizer of cured meats, which were supposed to be Tuscan, was absolutely subpar, the portions very small, and above all, unpleasant. The sliced ​​beef, which should be a highlight in Tuscany, was completely tasteless and served very raw, even though I'd asked for it to be medium rare: it wasn't even rare, but practically raw. The side dish (caponata) was also truly awful; I left it all on my plate and even mentioned it. I also left the meat and didn't even ask for it to be cooked more; I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. The wine (a €22 Chianti) only made the experience worse. I didn't order dessert, coffee, or liqueur. In conclusion, the place is small, not very clean, and the food is very low quality. I don't understand how it gets all these positive reviews: if it were possible, I'd give it zero stars instead of one.

As soon as you enter, you sense a warm welcome and attention to detail that make the dining experience special. Service was surprisingly quick, allowing us to enjoy our dishes without long waits, which is always a plus. As for the food, the fillets with porcini mushrooms and vinegar were a true masterpiece. They were cooked perfectly: tender and flavorful, each bite melted in your mouth, enhanced by a wonderful combination of flavors. We paired our meal with a glass of house wine, which proved to be an excellent pairing, further enriching the dining experience. In short, Antica Osteria di Bazzino is a place where Tuscan culinary tradition blends with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. 12/04/2026: A truly unforgettable stay at Riserva di Fizzano 🌿 This place is the definition of peaceful. Surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany and rooted in over 1,000 years of history, it feels like stepping into another world. The sunsets here are absolutely breathtaking—something you’ll want to pause and fully take in. The food at the restaurant is excellent, making it easy to stay in and enjoy every moment, and the wine… simply some of the best you’ll find in the region 🍷 The room was very unique and clean, the sheets and towels were as well. One small tip: bring a wall adapter, or you can easily ask for one at reception. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful escape with history, views, and amazing food, this is it.

06/04/2026: A truly wonderful setting in the heart of a pavilion. A harmoniously decorated osteria with incredibly friendly staff. The food was excellent. My wife and I opted for an antipasto and a primo. The house wine is also highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.
