17/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant last night. The tasting menu is a journey through flavors! The blue cheese with white chocolate, the tartare, and the wild boar tortelli were excellent. The atmosphere and service were elegant but not too formal! Highly recommended!

14/08/2025: Dinner at SaQua is a culinary journey – a modern approach to traditional Tuscan cuisine, where every bite becomes a small work of art, accompanied by a romantic view of the picturesque town of Montescudaio. This is a place where flavors blend and infuse the atmosphere. The restaurant is elegant, yet cozy. The staff pays attention to every detail of the guest experience from the very first moment. We opted for the tasting menu, and from the first bites, it was clear that this place is driven by passion and immense talent. Local beef tartare with avocado cream, olive powder, and crispy bread flakes – fresh, delicate, and perfectly balanced. Blu di bufala – an intense buffalo cheese accompanied by sweet and sour toppings that created an extraordinary harmony of flavors. Ravioli with wild boar in butter and sage – our favorite of the evening and an absolute hit. The thin, springy dough and rich, deep filling made this dish a lasting memory. Tagliolino with pigeon, blueberries, and a hint of gin and tonic – a bold yet cohesive combination. Pork with puree and apple and plum chutney – the chutney was absolutely fantastic. Pre-dessert: cherry sorbet – intense and wonderfully refreshing Dessert - Hazelnut Namelaka cream, passion fruit, caramelized nuts, lemon meringue Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Simone Acquarelli – an incredibly personable man with a passion that shines through in every dish. SaQua is a place you want to return to – for the flavor, the atmosphere, and the people who create this wonderful place.

28/09/2025: The place is very beautiful and well-kept. The service is attentive, professional, and the timing is more than right. As for the food, unfortunately, after an excellent start, the quality gradually declined. The entrees, with homemade breads, butter, and three truly interesting tastings, were very welcome. The three standard dishes had two main problems: - the small portions. We left hungry despite having three courses plus a dessert, in addition to the initial freebies. The main course had no side dish (a potato slice). The appetizer was half a Portobello mushroom, with the stem removed. Too small. We also noticed unintentional portion differences (especially for the first course and dessert) between different diners. - the courses (first and second courses) arrived cold. The dish was cold, the sauce poured over it was barely warm, which meant that after two bites the dish was objectively cold. Too bad. We had high expectations, but unfortunately, it was a decline. We'll try it again.

09/11/2025: Unfortunately, you can't order a "mixed" pizza—which is a shame. Unfortunately, the one I ordered was disgusting. The dough was so hard around the edges that it was impossible to eat. The tomato sauce was probably straight from a can at the nearby Carrefour. They also seem to add some strange spices, because it had a distinct flavor. It's put me off local pizzas altogether.

16/11/2025: Lovely small award winning restaurant—reservations recommended. I ordered their seafood set menu -4 dishes for 38 euros. The octopus carpaccio antipasti was excellent with an emulsion of octopus water into a thick delicious sauce. The primi was spaghetti with muscles and clams. Unfortunately it was over salted and had to be sent. They were gracious, tasted it, agreed it was over salted and prepared a new plate. The secondi was squid with arugula. The dolce was lemon sorbet in a bathe a prosecco. Both the secondi and dolce was spot on. The highlight was the carpaccio of octopus. Front of the house service was excellent. We got a bottle of really high quality Chianti for about 60 euros. I would recommend this restaurant.

09/11/2025: Osteria dei Cavalieri was a great way to end this fantastic Tuscan holiday. The menus offer quality meat, fish, and vegetables at a fair price. The tagliata (sliced ​​steak) was amazing, as was the service.

25/11/2025: Sensational location! A picture-perfect view, beautifully decorated, and with good, if not entirely exceptional, food. We were there on a Monday, when they have live music. A bit loud for conversation, but truly an experience! On top of that, there was an Italian wedding going on, where all the guests were invited onto the dance floor. Just like in a movie! 😀 With such a visually stunning location, we've often experienced that the food was average. That's not the case here. The prices are also reasonable. Highly recommended!
