05/04/2026: We ordered the tasting menu, and the food was absolutely not worth the price. All the dishes were flavorless, and the portions were tiny. The flavors overall didn't seem to pair very well. We left the restaurant still hungry and not satisfied with our meal. It's incredible that it's been on the Michelin list for so many years in a row. The city is pretty, and there are definitely better options.

The tagliolini with pigeon alone are worth the visit. Notes on the service and bill: • Bill: Generous, but fair for the quality offered. • Critical issues: Service was a bit slow, and the first courses arrived lukewarm (probably due to the complexity of combining first and second courses). We can clearly see the potential of this place. We will definitely return when the menu changes next time.

Captain Blackbeard's philosophy is clear in its intent and purpose, conveyed by the crew with a Picard-like air as they welcome customers onto the ship with the skull and crossbones. The dim light and the indelible "signs" of those who preceded us facilitate entry into the shop's gustatory knowledge. The tender cured meats gathered on the plate forge a pact of loyalty: first, the fresh prosciutto opens the taste buds to the assault of the more concentrated cured meats and delicate pancettas, which, mindful of their origins, melt at the arrival of the second wave of flavor. In their straw-yellow white suits, complex cheeses arrive, such as the proud pecorino and spicy gorgonzola, veined in their own style, while, freed from shame, the bloomy rinds hide behind the timid parmesan. While awaiting the next assault on the palates of those present, rivers of joyful wine soothe the mood until the arrival of the first courses filled with rich sausages related to light cream or solitary salmon. The tagliata arrive urgently, raw in the rush and flavored with a few random herbs so as not to be completely naked. Rich mascarpone creams, buttery and composed with crunchy fans necessary to hide the intimate grain enclosed within, awaken and cover the raw sensations. After the meal, the brigade gathers in a disorderly fashion to bid farewell and plan the next melee attack.

21/05/2026: We went on a recommendation from our apartment host. The Margherita pizza was very good. The cocktails and coffee were also very nice. The service could be improved. The waiter clearly didn't feel like working. There was a promotion for a pizza to go for 4€, which was great. We went back to get some for dinner. I've already recommended it to friends who will be traveling to Pisa. Don't put me off! :)

11/05/2026: Found by chance on a rainy day, it turned out to be a lucky choice. Free parking is just a short walk away, the service is friendly and attentive, though very basic and slow (especially the food). Generous portions and satisfactory quality, all at fairly reasonable prices. We had an appetizer shared between four, a main course each, half a glass of house wine, water, and coffee for just under €25 each. It was lovely to find photos of artists on the tables, and the decor, perhaps a little casual, is a nod to Lajatico's "everything is culture" vibe, which is obviously something you might like or not. In any case, it left a fond memory, and I'd probably return or recommend it.

31/05/2026: Disappointing experience. We're in Italy, and none of the staff spoke Italian, making it very difficult to even order because the waiter couldn't understand our requests. The food was average, nothing special or noteworthy. The worst part came when we got the bill: the owner, who also didn't speak Italian, split the total incorrectly, overcharging us, calculating the division by 6 people instead of 7. Nora, positive, beautiful location. Overall, a negative experience. We won't be returning.
