05/05/2026: We were served exquisitely in a welcoming atmosphere that showcases plant-based cuisine. The attention to ingredients is exceptional: their bruschetta, with homemade bread, Volterra olive oil, and the famous Volterra salt, is extraordinary in its simplicity. But the real highlight was the cotto di grano: a roasted wheat dish cooked so well that its texture and flavor were incredible. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to discover creative, succulent cuisine deeply rooted in the local area. We can't wait to return!

03/05/2026: We dined at this restaurant and particularly appreciated Baty's service and explanations in French, but one of the two dishes was disappointing.

03/05/2026: Nothing special about the place. Situated in a nice, narrow street in Volterra. We tried pasta, wine and aperol. Drinks were good but food was nothing special. Overall - too expensive for the quality. We were little disappointed with the experience, expected more from 4.5 restaurant.

05/04/2026: We ordered the tasting menu, and the food was absolutely not worth the price. All the dishes were flavorless, and the portions were tiny. The flavors overall didn't seem to pair very well. We left the restaurant still hungry and not satisfied with our meal. It's incredible that it's been on the Michelin list for so many years in a row. The city is pretty, and there are definitely better options.

08/05/2026: It's with a heavy heart that I'm giving this place two stars. And two stars for the wonderful owners, who are kind, smiling, and clearly do what they do with passion and heart. However, I want to leave a review for the food. Unfortunately, the pizza was literally mediocre. The dough was worse than reheated store-bought, much worse than what you'd make at home and bake at 200 degrees Celsius. A terrible disappointment 🫣 The prices are fine. I didn't mind the pizza being incredibly salty, as I prefer a little more salt. However, I understand the criticism that's been raised in the reviews. I'm not discouraging anyone from trying it; it's worth taking a closer look at the photos of the pizza and deciding if you'd like it. But don't expect a culinary adventure. However, I wholeheartedly support the owners. It's wonderful that you've been running this place for so many years.

04/04/2026: It was a truly fantastic meal. The whole family was delighted with the quality of the food. The waiters were also very friendly and welcoming, explaining all the restaurant's specialties. The menu includes typical dishes not found elsewhere. The sweet and spicy wild boar was superb!! We highly recommend it!!!

02/04/2026: I was out with my girlfriend, riding my motorcycle, and we chose this place to eat because it was close to where we'd parked our bike. The place is very welcoming, with an old-fashioned style that fits in well with the town. The waiter was very kind in explaining the tavern's typical and unique dishes and wines, which are what we ordered, and we didn't regret it. Terrine as an appetizer, along with fried artichokes, followed by Etruscan-style pici and sweet and sour wild boar—unusual dishes that absolutely must be tried. If you're passing through Volterra, I recommend stopping by. Since it's a unique menu, it's a little more expensive than usual, but that's to be expected, and it's worth it.

08/05/2026: A MUST-TRY!! Recommended by a local to try the famous Fiorentina beef from Tuscany. A wonderful surprise: melt-in-your-mouth meat, perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, served with delicious vegetables and a complimentary bottle of wine. The service was impeccable and exceptionally friendly. Excellent value for money. I'm so glad I shared this great find, as I certainly wouldn't have stopped otherwise. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Thank you again for your warm welcome.

08/04/2026: We had lunch on the terrace with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan hills. The place is magical, as is the food, served with typical Tuscan hospitality.

06/05/2026: Very nice place on a rainy day. The pizzas were delicious. I had to get my own olive oil, but when you add a little olive oil to the pizza, it becomes - mama mia. The only remark - when you eat a little, they try to tell you that it's time to go, not to linger too long, which is annoying. But everything else was very good.

01/05/2026: The food was good and the wine was suggested well by staff (although I later found out that having wine with Pizza was wasn't typical for Italians!) The service was fair, the staff were reasonably attentive. They did a good job of helping us select food and drink. Atmosphere was nice! We sat outside but it wasn't tight like many of the places you can eat outside in Volterra. So you didn't feel cramped while you dine.
