20/05/2026: Unmissable! Traditional Maremma cuisine prepared with passion. Generous dishes at a more than reasonable price. Very attentive and never intrusive service. The restored ancient cellar is worth a look! A word of advice: save room for the tiramisu!

10/05/2026: Family-run business serving typical Maremma specialties. Very friendly service. Mom and Grandma are in the kitchen, son and daughter in the front of house. Beautiful vaulted cellar. Good value for money.

25/05/2026: Enoteca Osteria di David in Scarlino is a genuine gem. The food is excellent — honest, well prepared, full of flavor — and the welcome is just as good. David is a warm, attentive host who makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. There's a real sense of care behind everything, from the plates to the atmosphere. Exactly the kind of place you hope to find in a small Tuscan town. Highly recommended.

15/02/2026: A great Valentine's Day in a cute, small, and I might add intimate place. The staff are friendly, the food is well presented, and the dishes are sophisticated. You can choose between meat and fish, including the freshest catch of the day. The prices are a little higher, but when the quality is there, you don't even notice! Definitely worth a try! A second Valentine's Day 🤩🥰... we're back for a third Valentine's Day. Everything was great.

15/11/2025: If you're suddenly craving some delicious seafood amidst the Maremma hills, you have no choice. Il Rintocco is the place to be. Excellent wine and a typical Tuscan village setting.

02/06/2026: What can I say? The first night we were there truly left us with wonderful memories, especially the delicious Chianina Florentine steak. Before heading home, we decided to have another Florentine dinner. Unfortunately, the meat was tough to the knife, especially when biting. We pointed this out to the waitress, who was even more upset than the owners, who literally ignored it when it came time to pay. Considering the price of that particular dish, perhaps we could have been a little more careful in selecting suppliers, and above all, more accommodating to the customer, who, I'm not sure, will be encouraged to return after experiences like this.

25/03/2026: It's been a while since I've eaten pizza at this pizzeria, but I can safely say it ranks among the top worst in Grosseto. I had the queen of pizzas, the Margherita: dry, without any toppings, and to top it off, even cold. Sorry, we're not quite there yet.

10/05/2026: Four of us had dinner last night, exploring the entire menu: appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and liqueurs. The owner is very friendly and generous with suggestions and explanations of the local dishes, which I highly recommend you try! I didn't like the vegetarian appetizer, the cured meat one was okay, and the wild boar mortadella was very good. The pappardelle were very salty. We only had the first course, so I can't give a definitive review; perhaps it was an oversight in the kitchen. The legendary Maremmana is absolutely superb: order it plain, without parmesan or mushrooms. The desserts (Tutta della Nonna and cheesecake) are also very good, homemade, and highly recommended. The liqueurs (free, thank you) are very good, especially the one in the bottle (you'll know when you see it) is spectacular. Oh, and I forgot about the house wine, a pleasant Morellino.

07/05/2026: We were in this characteristic but ultimately very touristy place, the food was good, the platter was beautifully presented, but cured meats like Milanese salami in Grosseto are definitely not! On the menu, there is a rib-eye steak for 40 euros per kilo and a Florentine steak for 60 euros per kilo. This difference is not justifiable, especially since the rib-eye steak was not there, so if you want the steak, you either get the Florentine steak or nothing. When I asked to see the steak before cooking it, they forgot about the weight of the steak I received, cut very soft, we had asked for two well-done, they also forgot about the good sweet potatoes, so-so, we had asked to take away the leftover appetizer but they forgot that, perhaps a little more attention and transparency would help because not all customers pretend nothing is happening and the fact that it is on the sea does not allow them to be so superficial in their favor because maybe next time I will go elsewhere.

02/05/2026: A truly excellent restaurant, with wonderful options both on and off the menu. I especially loved the Spaghetti alla Nerano. We went on May 1st with my family, and all the wait staff were pleasant and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

10/05/2026: A discovery that turns into a return We stumbled upon Trattoria Dai Frati almost by accident, and left confident we'd return. Which we did, duly, two days later. The writing on the wall says it all: "If you want to eat meat, you have to come back to Dai Frati!"—and they're absolutely right. The artisanal pici with radicchio and walnut pesto were a hug on a plate, the "cappello del carbonaio" (ravioli filled with carbonara) was a true delight, and the Florentine steak served on a wooden cutting board was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth, with a quality of meat that's hard to find. The mixed grill—sausage, ribs, chicken, pancetta, and beef—was generous and flavorful, as befits a true Tuscan trattoria. The desserts rounded out the experience masterfully: the Madagascar vanilla ice cream with ginger syrup and the sour cherry cheesecake deserve an A+. Not to mention the wine, which is also excellent, the house winemaker recommends pairing with every dish. But what makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. The place is warm, with attention to detail, authentic rustic decor, and background music that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is kind and attentive, and the owner is simply superb: present, thoughtful, and able to make every guest feel at home. If you're in Porto Santo Stefano and love authentic Tuscan cuisine, look no further. You'll definitely be back.

02/05/2026: A top-notch gastronomic experience in a seemingly rustic yet highly refined setting. The menu, based on tradition and quality, mostly locally sourced ingredients, including much of the restaurant's own produce, was absolutely to my liking. The owner is exceptionally professional and courteous, and the prices are very fair considering the variety and quality of the dishes served. The only downside is that it's two hours from my home!
