I would have given the food 5 stars, because the wild boar was cooked to perfection and was delicious. However, I also ordered the beef steak, asked for it to be medium rare, and it arrived raw. I only ate a few bites and left most of it there. Since it was a business lunch, I didn't have time to have it remade. I mentioned the inconvenience when paying, as if I hadn't said anything, and paid for everything, even the uneaten portion. I will definitely be returning for the wild boar, because, as I wrote, it's excellent, but, to my taste, other meats aren't.

We went to Osteria La Nuova Dispensa in Alberese and had a very interesting experience.
We started with an appetizer of delicious wild boar cold cuts and mixed crostini with excellent toppings (the only shame was the bread was a bit dry).
The first and second courses were very good; the pappardelle with wild boar was tasty, and the wild boar cacciatore was cooked to perfection.
The fillet with truffle was exceptional, tender and well-seasoned!!!
The baked potatoes are perhaps the only thing that could be improved, but the finish confirmed the hospitality of the place... coffee and liquor on the house were a very welcome touch.
The atmosphere was friendly and courteous.

Greeted by a mouthwatering aroma and the owner's exquisite courtesy, preceded by a plate of Tuscan crostini, we ate a fantastic acquacotta, in true Maremma tradition; nothing else, except some fabulous cantuccini, to fill us up. Very fair price. Not to be missed if in the area.

Good food, good appetizer, but the Tuscan crostini were dry, and the first course, truffle pici, was tasteless and all you could taste was the cooking water, so we didn't eat it. A good thing they didn't charge for it. The second course was the peppery one, and the meat was nice and tender.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
