01/01/2026: In one of Tuscany's most beautiful squares, a quaint restaurant with excellent dishes and generous portions, served with warmth and punctuality. Tables are available both inside and on the square in front of the Cathedral. Pizza is also available for lunch, but we didn't try it. They also have another restaurant a short distance away, "Cantina dei Tre Archi," which offers the same quality.

24/12/2025: From Livorno with a passion... Christmas Eve lunch with my family and my brother's teacher, who attends the Don Luigi community in Massa Marittima. A very welcoming place, beautifully decorated for the holidays, in the central square in front of the church. Exceptional cuisine and huge portions. Excellent waiter service, we spent €150 for seven of us... less than €20 each with appetizers, a first course, water, wine, and coffee. We'll definitely be back!!!!

05/01/2026: Owners need to be reminded to update their hours and closing times on Google. We went with a camper and found it closed. Disappointing.

07/01/2026: Discovered by chance, returning home after the holidays in early January. Truly hospitable, the service was prompt and courteous, and the food was excellent. Mrs. Daniela told us the story of her ancestors and the pasta factory they opened in the late 1800s. I must mention the ricotta and spinach tortelli she made, which are without a doubt the best I've ever tasted, with a delicate ragù. We took some portions home, which I ate again today, finding them superb. The ribollita soup, the lemon veal cutlet, the baked potatoes, and the bruschetta and crostini as appetizers were delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't try the wine because I had to drive. The price was fair. If I may say so, this cuisine certainly reflects passion and a heartfelt craft, and believe me, the result shows. I highly recommend it.

18/02/2026: "Excellent taste, a smile on the face of the service" Osteria del Mare is one of those places where the cuisine truly speaks for itself. The dishes express the region with surprising clarity: ultra-fresh fish, top-quality ingredients, and a kitchen that enhances every flavor without ever overpowering it. From crudités to expertly crafted pasta dishes, to main courses that exude the aroma of real seafood, each course demonstrates a care and expertise hard to find elsewhere. The atmosphere is pleasant, refined without being pretentious, and contributes to the atmosphere typical of the best Tuscan seafood osterias: authentic, welcoming, and relaxed. A small, constructive suggestion, born from the overall appreciation: an extra smile and a pinch of empathy from the owner would make the experience truly impeccable. The quality of the cuisine deserves equally warm service, and it wouldn't take much to transform an excellent lunch into a perfect memory. In any case, Osteria del Mare remains a highly recommended stop for those seeking authentic flavors and seafood cuisine that never disappoints.

01/02/2026: Exorbitantly priced for the service and products. Modest offerings: they don't do fried food at a seafood restaurant! Very sloppy service (they took away my spoon before I'd even finished my dessert).

27/08/2025: It's a shame that the negatives prevail because the food is good. The positives: Excellent dishes like the risotto and the panna cotta, but they lack refinement. A sublime setting in the middle of nowhere. The negatives: The reservation, where I had specified that it was to celebrate a birthday, was not noted, and if I hadn't received the reservation email, I think we would have been politely told to leave. You can imagine that there was no attention paid to the birthday party. We clearly felt like we were intruding and/or they were overwhelmed because there was an extra table. The wait was very long, and longer than the tables next to us. There were two adults and a child. The child got his meal first and had time to eat it before we were served... No apologies from them, shifty looks from the waitresses... The other tables had a basket with salt, pepper, olive oil, etc. available. Not us... Very, very little choice for the children. In short, behaving like this towards customers is completely unprofessional. While wanting to share my experience, I saw that I wasn't the only one to have experienced this.

26/08/2025: Stunning location, meticulously maintained and surrounded by nature, a relaxing atmosphere, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. As for the food, the charcuterie and cheese platter was among the best I've ever had, and the wine was excellent, too.

02/04/2026: Always stop by when we are in Castiglione della Pescaia. Fantastic burgers we’ve not seen somewhere else before (with tuna, calamari, etc). Also have nice food for the kids like pizza pane with Nutella.
