Excellent restaurant with spectacular meats.
I had a Florentine steak that was out of this world. The dessert, Limonamisu, was also sublime.

Some of the best food you’ll find in town! Everything is homemade and tastes otherworldly. You won’t be disappointed eating here. Staff is incredible and the ambiance is incredible inside the restaurant. The restaurant is perched above Porto Santo Stefano so the view you get to see of the whole city is very special.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, the only flaw being the portions of some dishes, which were a bit small. The house wine was very good. The sea view from the terrace was beautiful.
Highly recommended!

We had dinner here for two. We spent €115 for one appetizer, two first courses, two second courses, two desserts, half a liter of wine, and water. Overall, we ate well, but I'd say the pasta dishes are their specialty (especially the green ravioli if you like sweet and savory contrasts). The meat-based second courses, as well as the desserts, were neither good nor bad (the pork shank was a bit overcooked). Prices are average for a restaurant, but it's a shame it's a trattoria 😂
Parking is on the street.

Loved everything-the warm service, the beautiful plates, atmosphere, and most importantly, attention to sourcing ingredients from local producers and the Maremma. Had a beautiful pasta with radicchio pesto&walnut. Perfection and definitely hope to come back again!

One of my favorite restaurants! A must try if you are in Monte Argentario. Our server David was phenomenal, and you can tell easily he is passionate about food and wine. The food is amazing.

A discovery that turns into a return
We stumbled upon Trattoria Dai Frati almost by accident, and left confident we'd return. Which we did, duly, two days later.
The writing on the wall says it all: "If you want to eat meat, you have to come back to Dai Frati!"—and they're absolutely right. The artisanal pici with radicchio and walnut pesto were a hug on a plate, the "cappello del carbonaio" (ravioli filled with carbonara) was a true delight, and the Florentine steak served on a wooden cutting board was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth, with a quality of meat that's hard to find. The mixed grill—sausage, ribs, chicken, pancetta, and beef—was generous and flavorful, as befits a true Tuscan trattoria. The desserts rounded out the experience masterfully: the Madagascar vanilla ice cream with ginger syrup and the sour cherry cheesecake deserve an A+. Not to mention the wine, which is also excellent, the house winemaker recommends pairing with every dish.
But what makes this place truly special is the atmosphere. The place is warm, with attention to detail, authentic rustic decor, and background music that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is kind and attentive, and the owner is simply superb: present, thoughtful, and able to make every guest feel at home.
If you're in Porto Santo Stefano and love authentic Tuscan cuisine, look no further. You'll definitely be back.

A top-notch gastronomic experience in a seemingly rustic yet highly refined setting. The menu, based on tradition and quality, mostly locally sourced ingredients, including much of the restaurant's own produce, was absolutely to my liking. The owner is exceptionally professional and courteous, and the prices are very fair considering the variety and quality of the dishes served. The only downside is that it's two hours from my home!
