12/03/2026: Magliano in Toscana is in the heart of Maremma Grossetana, and this is a trattoria with long-standing and solid principles: traditional cuisine, good and simple, with appropriate portions. And that's how it has remained, even today. In the center of town, Corso Garibaldi, which means parking your car in one of the many free parking lots and walking for a while, in the ZTL. Terracotta floors, exposed beam ceilings. Courteous and precise service, trattoria prices, that is, cheap, even for wines (and it's becoming an exception, I say this as a wine wholesaler...). The Morellino obviously reigns supreme, but the choice is more than sufficient for the type of place.

12/03/2026: Excellent experience. The appetizers were truly delicious and generous, featuring typical local products. Maremma cuisine was well-prepared and carefully prepared. The restaurant is welcoming and the staff are friendly. If you're passing through Magliano in Toscana, it's definitely worth a stop.

29/10/2025: We had dinner at Da Maria in Giglio Castello — the food was good, fairly average overall, but the price felt a bit too high. For a group meal with one starter, one main course, and one dessert, it came to around €50 per person.

21/09/2025: I won't say how much I spent in total, because I've eaten that amount elsewhere and left satisfied with what I ate. Paying €40 for two risottos where you had to search for the rice grains hidden between a mussel, two shrimp, and four clams seems excessive to me. When you then realize the portion at the next table is larger, you feel cheated. Likewise, €30 for a fried dish that also included cheap vegetables and sardines, considered a low-cost fish, seems excessive. And finally, when I came to pay, I was told they even gave me a discount because they made me wait. I was even too kind to give it two stars.

21/10/2025: Located in the center of Castiglione della Pescaia, we dined inside (late October) in a very quaint basement room that was definitely once a granary. We ordered grilled sea bass and baked sea bream, along with half a liter of wine. The food and service were good, though the prices are a bit high, but the location justifies that.

11/01/2026: "Don't go there under any circumstances!!!" - you might want to shout, because this trattoria should remain a hidden gem! But since we also want others to enjoy good food: The food here is simply incredible 😍 We completely abandoned our New Year's resolutions in light of the exquisitely crafted dishes. From the mixed appetizer by Zia Catia, the fluffy ricotta gnocchi, the Provençal-style pork tenderloin (to die for!), to the incredibly delicious desserts (yes...we had three and don't regret a thing), everything was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back!

07/03/2026: Small but excellent restaurant. Fish is the star dish here and highly recommended. We tried several restaurants in the city center, and "La Casa Rossa" more than holds its own against them!

16/12/2025: Considering you're in a unique part of Tuscany, full of stimuli and unique flavors, a restaurant with that kind of cuisine is an insult to the region. Bland dishes served at the temperature limit due to the countless elaborate dishes; the entrée is a waste of time. I won't dwell on the dishes and will simply say absolutely nothing. A woman in the kitchen who sits all evening allegorically recalling the cuisine of the past when there's absolutely nothing of the past. The staff is kind, with a thousand thoughtful touches, sometimes even cloying. Regarding the wines, when I asked a very simple question—"A local organic or biodynamic wine?"—three of them completely lost their minds. My only regret is that I drove 1.5 hours to get there. My last statement: stop looking for stars that have become obsolete; go to the fields and shops to seek out quality raw materials.

03/11/2025: The interior and furnishings are all tasteful, but the food here is probably the worst in Italy. The only edible food is bread and butter, and you can't try anything else! The kitchen hood is terrible, and all the smells spill into the dining room, which is also a big minus. I definitely won't be coming back. The price is astronomical 🤬🤬🤬

25/09/2025: Exquisite dishes, a traditional menu, and excellent service. The restaurant is very beautiful and quaint, located in an old convent in the upper part of Scarlino. Recommended.

25/09/2025: The location and panoramic view are stunning, but the decor isn't the most refined—you could even find it at a local festival. The fish is very good, both the first courses, appetizers, and main courses... the desserts aren't up to par with the rest of the menu. Prices are slightly on the high side. The staff is young and very friendly.

22/02/2026: Terrible experience...the worst pizza I've ever eaten. I travel all over Italy for work, but this one hit rock bottom!!!...a Margherita made with mozzarella and then sauce on top...and it turned out to be a unique crust, not even bakeries can do worse...very dry...inedible...in short, if they can't make a simple Margherita...I'll leave the comments to you...

We opted for a meat-based menu: my wife had the tasty and well-seasoned pappardelle with wild boar, while I chose a rosemary-sautéed veal steak accompanied by sautéed chicory, all cooked to perfection. ​The restaurant's highlights: ​Impeccable service: the young man who served us was extremely kind and professional, making us feel immediately at ease. ​Value for money: We spent €42 for two, a very reasonable price considering the quality of the ingredients and the service we received. ​We will definitely be back, perhaps to try the pizza! Highly recommended.
