A trattoria with a canteen-like ambiance, very casual and unpretentious, it offers a variety of homemade dishes every day, simple, flavorful, and suitable for every palate, always served with friendliness and incredibly fast. An important and not insignificant aspect is that there's often a line, as advance reservations are not possible.

Everything from the wine to the food to the service is absolutely 5 stars. The crostini toscani and seafood tagliatelle were stand outs for us, and the lemon sorbet was so light and refreshing. 28/04/2026: If you want to experience authentic, authentic, and delicious Florentine food, you can't miss Il Giova. Excellent ingredients, generous portions, and unique traditional Florentine flavors, all complemented by friendly, fast, and impeccable service, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere that makes you want to sample their local red wine even more. Prices are absolutely average, and I'd recommend it to everyone. I hope to visit again soon. I especially recommend their tagliolini with truffle; whatever you order, it'll be worth it.

When I tried to complain, the host told me “F*** you”. I’ve never been treated like this at a restaurant my entire life. Worst experience of Florence so far. Absolutely pathetic customer service experience. Waited 1 full hour for first course. Waited 1 full hour for desert. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hovel of a restaurant. Embarrassing attempt at a restaurant.

06/07/2026: Trattoria Napoleone is such a great place for dinner in Florence. The food options were excellent and the Rigatoni Sorrento Style was possible the best pasta I’ve ever had. The service was incredible and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommended.

05/07/2026: Pasta with mussels was very tasty. Pizza Fuego had an absurd amount of oil. Waiting times were ridiculously long. Service was incredibly slow. Drinks were forgotten. Tables next to us had to wait 30 minutes for the bill.

A special thank you to Olga and Stella for their outstanding service—they made us feel so welcome and really looked after us. 11/07/2026: We happened to walk by and decided to step in on a whim. We never expected to discover such an elegant and outstanding restaurant. The food deserves a perfect 5, and the service gets a 5+. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meat was exceptional—the chef personally came to our table, carved it in front of us, and served it onto our plates. It was a truly memorable experience. We paired our meal with a magnificent Tuscan red wine, which complemented everything perfectly. The dessert completely amazed us: an incredibly soft sponge cake with a delicate molten cream center. Simply unforgettable. A special thanks to the staff. They gave us excellent recommendations and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the evening. We left absolutely delighted and will definitely come back.

18/05/2026: This restaurant was so amazingly perfect! Came here for my cousin’s wedding welcome dinner and the service was great! There were over 40 of us in our party and the owner, Enzo, took such great care of us all! He was so attentive and patient and made sure we had everything we needed! The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing! Anyone visiting Florence, I would 1000000000% recommend this cute place. Every single person in our party was so happy with the entire experience, from the food to the drinks to even the atmosphere itself. LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE!!!!! Thanks Enzo!!!!!
