08/03/2025: Dinner on a day of vacation with the children. Welcoming and attentive service, without being insistent and pandering as often happens in tourist resorts. A Florentine lady weighing almost two kilos cooked to perfection, well matured and tasty. And the truly memorable Florentine zuccotto.

18/03/2025: I spent two days in Florence and I liked Brac so much that I had dinner there two nights in a row! The place has a very interesting alternative format, it is in fact both a bookshop and a restaurant and bar where you can have an aperitif. The à la carte menu has about 5/6 options per course, which suggests that all the dishes are made on the spot and with extreme attention to detail. In addition to being almost completely vegan, many of the dishes they offer have self-produced ingredients, an example is the delicious seitan on pepper cream that I tasted on the second night. What won me and my boyfriend over in particular was the pasta alla chitarra, truly exceptional! The prices are fair, the portions too. All this in a relaxing and welcoming environment, among prints, travel manuals, great classics, art books and much more. After dinner I couldn't help but buy myself a novel! I absolutely recommend it

15/03/2025: Nice place, good service, good quality vege/vegan food. In a more open city than Florence it would be nothing special, here it is an island of salvation. The user base strictly adheres to the type of venue, you are warned!!

07/04/2025: Let's set some expectations: The reason this place is SO popular is because it's super cheap! However, the food is also really good so the combination of the two is what makes it so appealing. Is it the best food I've had? No Is it good and tastey? YES. Is it worth the wait / queue / line? Maybe, depends what kind of experience you want and expect. Note that you can't reserve a table! The place is very pleasant and run by a family and you sit at a table with other people so there's room for everyone. It seems every day they have a different menu but if you check the menu you can get a rough idea of what they offer. Because the place serves so many tables the service can be a bit chaotic. However the staff is nice and the food comes really fast! Overall a super nice experience! We were 3 people having lots of dishes (and wine) and we ended up paying 20eur pp! Enjoy 😊

18/01/2025: What is not to love about this place? From the service, the food to the ambiance, it did not disappoint. I started with the artichoke flan in a delicious rich cheese sauce, followed by the sage butter raviolis and finished with the tiramisu. My waiter picked the perfect white wine for me, too! Friendly, personable, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended

12/03/2025: The 2 times I have been to Florence I have eaten at Trattoria il Bargello and each time it has been excellent. The pasta with tartufo and the bistecca alla fiorentina are unbeatable. The service is friendly and the restaurant is very comfortable and beautiful.

05/04/2025: Family evening for mom's birthday. Delicious and crunchy schiacciatina to start, abundant platter with out-of-this-world pecorino cheese, excellent Tuscan cold cuts, croutons and polenta. Unparalleled real Neapolitan pizza, with salty anchovies (not from the supermarket), tasty capers and sweet tomato. Pici with ragù, well seasoned and cooked to perfection, attentive and fast service, with attention to the customer at all times of the evening. Reservation recommended.

18/03/2025: We visited Buongustai twice - amazing each time! There is a lovely list of daily specials each day which makes it difficult to choose from! Definitely worth a visit (or two) just to get the chance to try as many things as possible. It can get a bit busy at times but service is super efficient. Keep an eye out for the home-made desserts, not to be missed.

15/03/2025: Popped by late noon and food was great. The beef hamburg and pastas were all well seasoned and delicious. Prices were very reasonable as well!

06/03/2025: It will become an excellent reference point for Florence. The restaurant is located in the Porta al Prato area and once I entered I was greeted by the friendly owner. The ordering and delivery of the dishes was very fast and carried out by friendly waiters. The appetizer of crumbles and crostini was good but easily avoidable while the sliced ​​meat wrapped in lard was exquisite. The bill was €31 with a bottle of water, booking through The Fork therefore with a 20% discount on food. I would say this figure is honest... at full price I would have been a little disappointed. However, they also have cheaper tasting menus that allow you to taste various things.

02/03/2025: Located at the intersection of a very busy street, it does not escape the sight of passers-by due to the wooden sign. You enter and it feels like you're in a tavern, the friendliness of the service reflects this feeling. There are various fixed menus, we will certainly return to try others, selection of wines as every Tuscan restaurant deserves. The food is served on large trays and is really great. The bill holds no surprises

The food is of a high standard, fine wines and wonderful desserts. Professional and friendly staff. Andrea, the owner, a helpful man, ready to give information on the place, history, and culinary art... excellent culinary knowledge. Adequate price and quality. 06/04/2025: Rustic and very welcoming place. Original pizzas: thin, crunchy and very wide, they come out of the plate but can be made in normal sizes upon request. Wide choice of pizzas and it is possible to make additions. Friendly service but a little slow, especially when there are a lot of people. Clean and fragrant bathrooms. I also liked the first ones. The desserts are also delicious. Price normal. There isn't any real parking but you can park on the street or along a path next to the pizzeria.

19/03/2025: Welcoming, warm and very intimate place. Quiet and comfortable, but perhaps in my opinion the background music was too loud. Lukewarm dishes and too little time between courses, as if they had to free up a table. Fantastic cellar in the basement!! High-level wine cellar. All in all a nice place.
