We waited half an hour at the door because they messed up our reservation. The table was too small for our group and we ate crammed together. The food was good and the price reasonable for the area.

The meal was decent, although the ossobuco lacked a bit of salt, and the pici al formaggio arrived directly on the plate, unlike what we expected (see the creaming on the cheese). The bill was excessive.

I’m still dreaming about the steak I had at this little osteria in Florence—honestly one of the best meals of my life. From the moment I walked in, everything felt warm, authentic, and effortlessly welcoming, like I’d stumbled into a place that locals quietly treasure. And then came the steak. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and served simply—because when the ingredients are this good, you don’t need anything extra. The outside had that incredible char, while the inside was tender, juicy, and packed with rich, deep flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth. It was one of those rare dishes where you pause after the first bite just to appreciate how good it is. Paired with a bold Tuscan red wine and some classic sides, the whole experience felt like a celebration of everything that makes Italian cuisine so special: quality, simplicity, and passion. The atmosphere, the service, the food—everything was flawless. If you’re in Florence and love steak, this is an absolute must. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Five stars isn’t enough.
