If you want to experience authentic, authentic, and delicious Florentine food, you can't miss Il Giova. Excellent ingredients, generous portions, and unique traditional Florentine flavors, all complemented by friendly, fast, and impeccable service, and a relaxed, informal atmosphere that makes you want to sample their local red wine even more. Prices are absolutely average, and I'd recommend it to everyone. I hope to visit again soon. I especially recommend their tagliolini with truffle; whatever you order, it'll be worth it.

The best place to eat in Florence. The quality and attention to detail are excellent, and the atmosphere is informal and welcoming. The friendly owners contribute to a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

This is a wonderful restaurant with great food. We were very impressed with the flavours and wines on offer. We had a great meal for four people but they can accommodate larger groups. This is a family run business and the staff make it a wonderful evening out.

Excellent food, true to Tuscan tradition, helpful and friendly staff, informal and convivial atmosphere. Excellent value. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Florence.

Probably one of the best experiences we had in Florence. The restaurant is full of charm and frequented by many regulars who dine there alone or in groups. They have a daily menu. The dishes are simple but very generous. One primi piatti is more than enough! The secondi was also delicious, but it was too much for me! We loved the service; it felt like being in our usual restaurant, except it was our first time here! A great place if you're on a budget and appreciate charming places!

11/05/2026: Following our meal last night, I wanted to share my experience. We arrived early without a reservation, but were still warmly welcomed. The two pizzas we tried were delicious. Thin and crispy crust, at least 35 cm in diameter, and generously topped. The price was competitive, half the price of those on the French Riviera. The same goes for the desserts. The service was quick and efficient. They also offer takeaway pizzas. They don't speak French, but the menu is in Italian and English. I highly recommend it.

L'acquacheta Ristorante

03/05/2026: I hadn't been back for years, it's changed management. I hadn't been back because they'd expanded too much and it felt more like a festival than a restaurant. We made the mistake of going on a Saturday night, and despite having a reservation, there was a frustrating line for a table and a strange "table-hopping" system where a table for three became available and they were looking for a group of three in the line. Sorry, but did I book or not? It's nonsense, something I've never seen anywhere else. Otherwise, once we managed to get a table, the service was courteous and fast, the food was good, and the price was okay. I'd go back, but not on a Saturday night.
03/05/2026: Excellent, truly high-quality cuisine and prompt service. Both are commendable given the huge number of patrons.
