01/02/2026: I went here for dinner with some friends. We'd made a reservation because one of us had already been there and was happy with it. The food was excellent, both the starters and the appetizers, and the prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was nice. The service was a shame...these guys were quite bored and unprofessional, laughing and making dirty jokes about customers' orders in the silence of the room (there were only a couple of tables occupied), completely oblivious to the fact that we were standing 1 meter away and could hear everything. Quite embarrassing. These are usually things people say in the kitchen and without being noticed, not during service in front of people. 🙂 A truly good and pleasant restaurant; we probably got the wrong shift.

20/01/2026: Wonderful experience made even better by an incredible server, Alessio. Our food was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful and clean with small gardens in mini-courtyards. Alessio was charming and informative and spoke beautiful English. All together a perfect evening. My one wish was that the atmospheric music could have been something other than American classic rock/pop. But that’s just a preference. I highly recommend!

04/01/2026: We chose to come to this restaurant with high expectations, considering all the reviews online. I'm sorry these expectations weren't met. The place has its ups and downs. The ingredients are good, but the flavors are too often bland. Let's start with the highlights. The tartare with mustard mayonnaise was excellent, and the larded fillet with truffle was good (though you could taste it), although we might have expected a touch more tenderness from the meat. However, it was served (as is appropriate for such cuts) on hot plates to maintain the right tenderness. The meat is definitely the restaurant's heart. The wine selection is excellent, and the 375ml bottles are available, which don't hurt. Let's end here. The Chianti risotto with pistachio cream and pecorino fondue is definitely to be avoided. From a dish like this, you expect punch and flavor. When you taste it, you could taste the rice and little else. I didn't like it. Carrot flan accompanied by a parmesan fondue that was certainly delicate, to the point of being bland. Pappardelle with wild boar was neither good nor bad, with little kick: the bay leaves and juniper berries were missing (perhaps it's a Tuscan recipe, but whatever). Finally, two errors on the bill (let's say a bit high) that were certainly not a pleasant surprise (though the owners apologized). What can I say? Bad days happen, but I wouldn't go back.

28/12/2025: We went for one evening, and we'd already wanted to try this place on another visit to the area. Beautiful place, very welcoming and professional staff. We opted for a platter; the quality of the cured meats was good, and the cheeses were decent. We continued with pappardelle with wild boar ragù. Both the ragù and the pappardelle were good, but the pappardelle were a bit disconnected from the ragù. Our companions opted for a tomahawk steak and potatoes, spinach, and caponata as a side dish. The tomahawk steak was overcooked, woody, almost stringy. The side dishes, aside from the potatoes, needed a bit of a makeover: both the spinach (flavorless) and the caponata, unfortunately, were very flat. They have an excellent wine selection, including 375 cc bottles. We opted for an Antinori Chianti. We didn't opt ​​for dessert, and the waitress who served us was very kind, and when we pointed out the (over)cooked tomahawk steak, she offered us some bitters. Prices were average. Maybe, if we're in the area, we'll see it again because the place seems to have some (excellent) potential.

22/01/2026: I wouldn't write a review so as not to publicize this restaurant's excellent food. Two of us ate there one evening for dinner: incredible Tuscan appetizer, fresh and dry fried artichokes, and sensational spaghetti alla carriettera. Excellent! Keep up the good work.

23/01/2026: The oldest restaurant in Firenze with distinctive deliciousness on offer! Antique photos, clocks, memorabilia decorate the walls. We had the polenta, salumi, manzo grigliata, coniglio, papardelle di cinghiale and tagliatelle di manzo. I’d re-order everything just to eat it all over again!

10/01/2026: My partner and I ate a delicious Florentine steak!! The staff even accommodated us with the cooking!!! The baked potatoes were delicious!! A very traditional restaurant with a wide selection of Tuscan dishes. Recommended place with an excellent location behind the Uffizi Gallery.

In particular, the impeccable cleanliness and the size of the bathroom, which was above the average standards of other hotels. The location is ideal for traveling the Chianti road to San Gimignano, which is considered one of the most beautiful roads in Italy.
