29/07/2025: The food is very good, the service is efficient: the waiters are polite, respectful, active and professional. However, for the bistecca alla fiorentina, don't forget to ask for it cooked rare - the meat literally melts in your mouth!

28/07/2025: It was a phenomenal experience being a guest here. The service was sublime and the food was, as they say here, "bellisimo." I would definitely come back again. The mussels and pizzas are highly recommended. The pasta was also surprisingly delicious. Come and see for yourself.

27/07/2025: We ate there in our stay in Florence. Food was very delicious and flavorful. The staff were polite and present and the service was amazing. The even have a list of allergics ingredients that may be in the dish! Superb experience.

05/08/2025: I was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant to eat at. Fed up of all the tourist restaurants, I did some research and found Tortuga. I’m so glad I did. This was a long walk from the city of Florence, but was well worth it. This was the best meal we’d had in Florence. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even with the language barrier. Fantastic, fresh food. My son had the spicy salami pizza, whilst I had the salmon. It was delicious! I can’t wait to go back again!

25/07/2025: Siamo stati con amici e ci siamo sentiti meravigliosamente bene. Ristorante molto bello e bistecca alla fiorentina di 2 kg lo abbiamo divorato in picco tempo, buonissima. Lo staff molto amichevole e competente. Ritorneremo al più presto.

25/07/2025: Ristorante molto accogliente e suggestivo, sembra di stare in casa della nonna. Cibo super è servito molto amichevole. Abbiamo mangiato antipasto toscano di salumi, pappardelle al cinghiale e bistecca alla fiorentina tutto di alta qualità. Posso dire una delle bistecche più buone mai mangiate. Qualità prezzo giusto per la qualità. Lo consiglio vivamente e ritorneremo assolutamente.

09/08/2025: We had an amazing dinner, starting with beef carpaccio and a unique zucchini dish. The table side flambe filet was stellar, the sauce was delicate and decadent at the same time. My family each ordered different pasta dishes that were spectacular. The service and ambiance enhanced the meal. Be sure to check it out if you find yourself in Florence.

08/08/2025: The restaurant is located near Florence's historic centre and offers a good selection of Florentine dishes. The florentine bistecca was excellent -- flavourful and cooked to perfection! Valentina, our server, was charming and attentive to our 9-person table. Great job Ristorante Storico Sabatini!! --we'll be back! Mille grazie!

21/07/2025: A restaurant, if you can call it that... one of those that leave a lasting impression... I strongly advise against it. I won't add anything else.

12/08/2025: The tables near the kitchen are too hot and uncomfortable. White pizza with smoked salmon and arugula: the salmon is not good; it should be served very thinly sliced, not chopped.

22/07/2025: We just had a wine and a spritz. As the deal they advertise was a spritz and a pizza for 13€ we thought it would be cheap enough. But no, they charged 10€ for the spritz. This is more of a cafe bar than a restaurant and we saw them heating up prepared food. However we didn’t eat anything so can’t comment on the food. I wouldn’t recommend based on what I saw.

28/07/2025: Fresh pasta in the same location for over 60 years! The portions are generous. The prices are reasonable for the location and quality. Everything is prepared with love, especially the tiramisu.

06/06/2025: Testé ce midi en famille... déjà l'endroit est magnifique avec un intérieur tout en bois et brique, les jambons pendus, les desserts qui sentent bon... Tout ce qu'on a pris étaient: -bons -copieux -à un prix vraiment raisonnable -que du fait maison Pour ne rien gâcher, un service agréable et souriant. Vraiment une très bonne adresse, je recommande!

25/07/2025: Very good restaurant, the staff is friendly and the setting is very nice. (Secret Garden) 😉 Very good food, the pizzas are cooked at the entrance of the restaurant.

02/08/2025: As soon as you enter, you realize it's a place with meticulous attention to detail. You're greeted with a smile even when it's packed. The bartender prepares amazing cocktails and can quickly convince you if you're unsure. After an aperitif, you dine in a welcoming space, and the wait staff is very professional. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, a person who conveys the passion and care she and her staff put into preparing the menu. I highly recommend it for aperitifs, business dinners, or just for pleasure. My work team and I, after stressful days, have always been welcomed and pampered as if we were family. And last but not least, a shout out to the owner's mother. Fabio.

28/04/2025: Perfection. Bravissimo! Ricardo and Dino were amazing staff and incredibly attentive, and the Grouper is the best dish I had during our entire time in Italy. We’ve eaten at Michelin star restaurants, and this was, unexpectedly, one of the finest dining experiences we’ve had. I highly highly recommend.

18/07/2025: Spent a week in Florence and this is still our favorite restaurant ! The quality of the food is excellent and it’s very authentic. If you like chicken liver I really recommend the Polentine fritte con fegatini (fried polenta with chicken liver plate). It’s nothing like I’ve tasted before :)

17/07/2025: Location: It was almost an alcove away from the main flow of traffic but still near everything. Could be very romantic. Historic buildings all around. Food: Everything was ok. My husband's steak was slightly overcooked but still tasty. Service: It was hard to get anyone to make eye contact to get seated...to order...to get the check. Servers typically give you a lot of time and space but we felt ignored and, when we did finally get someone to attend to us, we were made to feel like it was a bother. Maybe they didn't like our attempt at ordering in Italian! In a city with so many great restaurants, there's no reason to go to this one specifically.
