04/10/2025: This resto looks impressive with many tables and servers in uniform. However, this is the 1st time we ever come across a resto in the world that charges « cover charge » of €3.50 for each walk in customer. This was only reviewed by the manager/owner after we curiously asked what’s the item on the bill (circled) in Italien that we didn’t order. That’s when he said it’s ´cover charge’ with an Italien welcome tone. When asked for the WiFi pw of the name of the resto « Napoleon » as there’s weak 3G inside the resto, we were directed to a free WiFi signal that requires one to sign up with personal email. Not impressed and be warned.

28/09/2025: Delicious food, a welcoming, family atmosphere, and polite, friendly, and cheerful staff. The bathroom is very clean, as is the entire place. The prices are fair and well-deserved, the meat is excellent, as are the pasta. If I weren't from Rome, this would become a regular. ❤️

03/10/2025: We ate at Agricola Toscana both nights that we were in Florence because after the wonderful experience the first night, we just had to go back. The food was fantastic. The first night we had Steak Tartar with Baratta and Truffles, Pappardelle al Cinghiale (Pappardelle with marinated Boars meat), and Sirloin Steak. The second night we had Filleto alla Griglia and Spaghetti alla Carbonara Tartufata. The atmosphere was casual and cozy. The service was incredible. Rifat was our waiter and he did an amazing job helping us navigate the menu despite my attempts at speaking Italian with his command of English and his humor. Adrianna (the manager) was very present and made sure everyone in the restaurant was well taken care of. On our second night we met Samaria, the owner's wife, and in her passion for the restaurant and providing hospitality to all guests was very evident. This will absolutely be in our next Florence itinerary!

05/10/2025: We had an evening meal there. We were staying elsewhere. Beautiful setting, gorgeous food and wine. The staff were also amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a special evening. We will be back next year. Thank you very much 🙏🏻🤩☺️

29/09/2025: A modest exterior, but the kitchen is the shop window. Run by Laura and Lucia, who greeted me with a warm “prego”, it felt the right place to begin my first Florence meal in years. Tagliolini al tartufo was their unhesitating recommendation: pasta cut and cooked perfectly, the sauce buttery and fragrant with truffles – 9.5/10. Lampredotto followed: Florence’s tripe dish, born of cucina povera. Robust, slightly heavy on seasoning, but balanced by unsalted bread and a bright salsa verde. Authentic cooking with real heart.

25/09/2025: One of my favourites places to eat in Florence. The wine was great. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful.

22/10/2025: Excellent food and service. We've been there twice in two days. The lasagna is the best I've ever had, and the ragu is delicious. Very attentive and friendly. The food is of good quality. We recommend it.

29/09/2025: Il Caldetino is the right choice even for the pickiest of eaters. The access from the main road may be a bit confusing, but it only gets better from there. The large parking lot allows you to find a spot even when fully booked. The fantastic menu and extensive wine list (QR CODE) are a gourmet's paradise. We've been there several times and tried practically everything. The service is also exceptionally friendly and the prices are reasonable. Note: Reservations are essential. We'll definitely visit again when we're in Tuscany.

22/09/2025: Almost perfect and a must visit, if you are around this area. Amazing food(for a good price). The startes(pulpo and croquetas) and main course(risotto, beef in bluecheese sauce) are really good👌🤤. The view is outstanding! The wine quality is very good(nice ripasso). However, work on your service and timings. The service is friendly, but the timings.. Glass prosecco 30 minutes waiting, starter 75 minutes waiting..

11/10/2025: The food was okay. The waiter's service was unfriendly. He got annoyed when we asked for ice. There are other places with much better service. I don't recommend it.

10/10/2025: Steak Florentine, medium rare was Devine and the service was exceptional. Price was best I’d found in Florence, a bargain when you factor in the location and ambiances.

21/10/2025: I celebrated my birthday at Cucina Torcicoda and it was a wonderful experience! A welcoming and refined atmosphere, delicious food (the desserts were truly amazing!), and impeccable service. Our waiter was kind, positive, and very attentive. A special evening I will fondly remember.

But it is what happens at the table that truly defines this restaurant. I chose the nine-course tasting menu, and from the very first bite, I knew I was in for something extraordinary. Each course was a story in itself, balancing artistry, innovation, and deep respect for Tuscan tradition. The pacing was flawless, the flavors precise, and the plating so beautiful it felt almost criminal to disturb it. Standout dishes included a course that reimagined seasonal vegetables as if they were jewels on the plate, and a main that struck the perfect harmony between rustic soul and modern finesse. Desserts were whimsical yet elegant, a finale that left me smiling like a child. The wine pairings were masterful, elevating every course without overwhelming it. The sommelier’s knowledge and warmth made the experience all the more personal. And I must mention the staff: attentive without being intrusive, passionate without pretension. If you love food, beauty, and the kind of experience that stays with you long after the last sip of wine, La Leggenda dei Frati is simply unmissable. Five stars feels like an understatement.
